a band who put out some real mature stuff ~ for a bunch of old men acting like 12 year olds! i'm sure the fbi loves the band as a handy resource to snuff out all those who disent from the moral code of life; and then those who hate them: hate is a crime of thought these days, per the moral preachers! and look all those who dont shut up about their personal thoughts of disent and instead kiss rage against the machines big fat corporate music booty... about how great they are; should be silenced by the gods

Revolutionaries? Hardly,a true revolutionary band with a cause would of stayed together. They were in it just for the money.

Posted by the parT:
I think the album's great, even though it's the only one of their now 4 albums i do not own. I don't think this album even compares to their first one, but at the same time is so completely differant and has it's own definable greatness. This band has done amazing things for the name of american rock music. And for all the hypocrites who delite themselves in bashing their name, you need to lose the negative hostility and look at what you are doing to stand up for what YOU believe in.

Posted by redfetha:
very talented mucicians, also rage is good bcoz they actually write meaningful lyrics

Maumau
great.Very powerful...Every words of every track are bullets for tha gut eaters

MATTY B
Rage Against The MACHINE What more can U SAY this isn't a game its life its liberty its freedom of the individual. How can anyone in their youth not like the Band who started it all Fuk all u Brittany Spears Backsteet Bizcut fans The real music is the music of words that mean something For all those lowlife oppressors out there this is music for the revolutionary who controls his past and will control his future, So if u don't like it then I got four words for u RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE i did

dan
why did zach leave the band again?

Alt-man
Obviously THE greatest band in the world today. Testify f*cking kills it, Guerilla Radio is a song anthamatic proportions, Calm Like A Bomb rocks, Mic Check is classic, Sleep Now In the Fire is a song too good to be made by mere mortals, Born of A Broken Man is urban poetry at it's best, Born As Ghosts is f*ckin' A, Maria is a deep and make you wanna kick someone sh1tless song, Voice Of THe Voiceless makes you wanna take the streets, New Millenium Homes is... alright, Ashes In the Fall is a song not worthy for anyone who owns anything by Eminem, War Within A Breath id a F*CKING great song. F*ck Bizkit and their corporate c0ck sucking styles, this is Rage Against the Machine. There is no number high enough to rate this album

f_fighter
i think the album is great.its better then some wussy music like kid rock.everyone can go to hell that doesnt like rage.

kuwaji
very nice. one of the best albums ever published in the history of man.

banana man
though i didnt heard it , but i know for sure that rage new album reminds us once again that "IF WE DONT TAKE ACTION NOW, WELL SETTLE FOR NOTHIN' LATER!

http://i.am/theantishroom
it sucks. too soft. bring back the profanity and drop the politics.

BUTCH
More stupid left wing politics. Zack dela dumbass wants to be a angery hardcore version of bob marley. Yeah, real smart protest the only rally free country in the world as tyranical. These guys are sensationalist not intellectualls. To hell with the Batista's they are a communist gang of terrorist. To hell with Che', He wrote a book on guerila warfare but when he was exiled in the hills of Cuba he violated every rule of it, he was an idiot, a left wing monomoniacal fool just like CASTRO. Rage Against Rage Against the machine they are true facists. Get the politics out of the music and preach individuality not more left wing conformity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shirl the pearl
Battle of Los is a dark album. Thought provoking poetry from Zack and some amazing guitar work on the tracks. Rage are such an uncommon thing nowadays, a band that you can think about and a band you can funk to. Keep it up from the GODMOTHER:-)

tim
working the moneymachine, dont you meen.

Ethan Crane

Rock music is a lost art! If this is what rock has become, then I simply must become a Rap fan!

RidahNY
Ok, listen up RATM!If you δssholes want to be political commentators, then get the fόck out of the music buisness and be politicians! No one wants to hear your self-righteous bόllshοt! Shut the fόck up and go back to oblivion, cause you fδggots sόck!!

jeff
i think this album is tied with their first one, fu&k weydawg they use that structure in all their songs cause thats how to get people pumped, i do agree that they are stuck being political all the time but theyre comin out with a new cover album thats bound to mix things up a bit, oh yeah rage is the best band in the world fu&k anyone who thinks otherwise, they arenet sellouts for being on sony , sony let rage and korn say whatever the fu&k they want get it exposed to alot of people and pay them lotsa cash for it sounds pretty cool to me and for the album the first 5 songs and the last 3 are the best NEW MILLENIUM HOMES is a wicked song

jeff
i think this album is tied with their first one, fu

silent asylum
Rage is the most important band of all time. They are trying to reach out to a large audience and using Sony only guarantees that they reach the maximum number of people. Music is a business and it can make a person money. However, the free concert that Rage did at the democratic convention only prooves that they are more interested in issues rather than money. Buy this album and learn or vent the frustrations that are part of our society.

moowowcow
Great album. Zach has really made some great songs, and the guitars are excellent, and the rythym section is the best it's ever been. It would seem as though the other two were building towards something, and this was it.

mindy
IT RULES!!! all you stupid mother f***ers that think RATM sux can kiss my ass!

Even Flow
This LP ROCKS!!!! Its good to see them back on form after the dissapointing "evil empire", although its not as complete as the first one songs like "testify", "calm like a bomb" and the awesome "Ashes in the Fall" rank among their best. 9 out of 10

ace
Rage against the machine rules!! This is such a good album, Zac you rock!!

JIMEE
I agree with WeyDawg. They can play and make better music than what they can now. But RATM sucking? Ha, ha, ha!! that's the biggest nonsense ever. rage is the best new mainstream band ever. All the new bands suck, with the exception of Godsmack, and I guess Tool(seeing they started in 1993 I think).

S=cker KoRner
RATM sux!!! Ι tudo uma bosta!!! All songs look the same to me!!!! I bought their first CD, then I listened to it once and sold it to my friend!! It was just like techno music, all songs look the same!!!! U can't even realize when one finishes and the other starts!!!

alien
Is it too early to vote Sleep Now In The Fire the best music vid of 2000? The new album rocks, with the mix of Zack's screamed anti-capitalist lyrics and Tom Morello's innovative use of a guitar makes one heeeeeeeeell of an album.

Someguy
i agree with weydawg .

WeyDawg
Rage needs to stop rewriting the same song over and over. I liked their first album, but they've become tiresome. It's like they've dug themselves into hole and can't get out: they can't never write a non-political song without fans going into uproar. Sure, Morello is a great guitar player, very innovative with his solos, but why not get innovative with the actual song structure as well? Why do they always do verse-chorus-verse? In ther end, it seems like Rage are great musicians, but not great artists, meaning they are talented, but they don't know what to do with it to make great music as opposed to merely good music. Oh, and they're hipocrites. How can a band so openly bash huge, greedy corporations while making millions of dollars and being employed by a large company (Sony) at the same time? They can feed you whatever horse sh*t they want to, but they're hipocrites none the less.

rob
it sucks why stir up an event from 10 years ago that has no relevancein todays socio/political infrastructure?.and the music sucks too!!!!

Michael
Yall might disagree but I think that the 1st albums the best...One thing bout the new album, its very RAGE like and keeps ya going, but guerilla radio is played way too much on the radio !@

hells disciple
i HATE rage against the machine. they are a very repetitive band, all their songs sound the exact same and the chorus for every song is the name of the track screamed over and over

GOTHMOG
BY FAR THE BEST ALBUM OF 1999, THIS ONE IS DESTINED TO BE A CLASSIC. NOT QUITE IN THE CLASS OF THEIR DEBUT BUT ONLY BECAUSE THE PRODUCTION DOESN'T LIVE UP TO THAT OF THE FIRST ALBUM AND ITS NOT LONG ENOUGH BUT IT ROCKS ROM FIRST NOTE TO LAST AND LEAVES A LASTING IMPRESSION ON THE LISTENER. IN FACT THIS ALBUM IS SOOOOOOO GOOD THAT IT WILL BIAS MY OPINION AGAINST EVERY OTHER ALBUM I WILL LISTEN TO FOR THE NEXT 12 MONTHS. RAGE ARE THE MOST CONSISTENT BAND CURRENTLY ACTIVE AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THEY HAVE NEVER PRODUCED OR RECORDED A SONG THAT I WOULD CONSIDER UNLISTENABLE TO UNLIKE JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER BAND I LIKE. THIS ALBUM MUST BE CONSIDERED (ALONG WITH THE REST OF THEIR CATALOG) AS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS OF THE LAST 20 YEARS! LISTEN TO "ASHES IN THE FALL" OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND YOU WILL START TO HEAR IT IN YOUR DREAMS. THE OPENING GUITAR FILL BY T.M. IS AS HAUTING AND MEMORABLE AS ANY MUSICAL SOUND EVER PRODUCED. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ADD THIS CD TO YOUR COLLECTION AND LISTEN TO IT UNTIL IT EXPLODES!!!

THE SOUL ASSASIN
WAY 2 KOOL

THE SOUL ASSASIN
I THINK THIS ALBUM ROCKS FROM START TILL THE END

Cake Beeyatch
*passes out on floor*

HardNHeavy
As usual RATM tear sh*t up...possibly their best album to date! But if you don't like music that makes you think, don't buy this! Go buy the latest Ricky Martin album instead!

Judas Iscariot
The album was a tightly produced masterpiece. My favorite songs were Maria, Guerilla Radio(Turn that sh1t up!)and Testify. The music on the CD is very addictive and seduces you to come again and again and again...

potface
I've been arage fan since their debut, self titled album and this is their best yet. tom Morello is taking guitar to a new level.Nobody since Hendrix has been able to master new technologies.Zack is the dopest lyrisist ever. open your eyes to new revoluton in music and culture. Don't miss THe Battle Of Los Angeles.

B-Man
Awesome follow up to their 1995 sophomore album Evil Empire. They started over with something completely new. They are up there as the best band of the nineties along with Nirvana, Mettalica, and Pearl Jam.

Staq
Rage's music has matured since Evil Empire and it is good to see they haven't gone stale, as many bands do. Nothing compares to La Rochas scornful lyrics and Morellos guitar, which seems to have a life of its own.

Jay
As good as it ever was. Album of the year

dondonz
one word POOP!(that should sum it up in a very clean way)

Revolutionist5
It is a freakin' awsome album!!!!! Viva Zach de la Rocha!!!!!1

XTC 311
I think it's pretty awesome. Some of the songs sound the same though. I heard the exact same guitar solo on this album that was in bulls on parade.

would
they make the instruments sing, absolutely fantastic

potius
its ok but its no Evil Empire for sure

Nick
I think this new Rage cd is awful. I bought it the day it came out thinking it was going to be as good as Evil Empire, and it wasn't. If you haven't already bought it don't waste your money.

joey sux ass
the new rage is the best one. at least rage has a message, unlike every boy-pop band out there controlling mtv.

Jay
If you'll scroll down, I agree 100% with the S.L.A.Y.E.R guy Rock on! AND FREE MUMIA ABU JAMAL

LA Guy
If you don't like the rapcore scene today, you should seriously consider buying this album.

joey
i got ths album and it is bland, there are only 3 good songs

jan
It rocks & also puts your mind to work-when u read the lyrics u realize that its great poetry-really like born of a broken man & mic check -ratm we love you!!!keepmakes you think about

chaz
great!!!!!zacks a great poet & musis rocks

Diablo
A bit too much like the last album - they need something new

matt
its great! what a comeback for RATM!i think that this album is as good if not better than the first two.

mike
its their best yet

Truthful
Rage is great, but they are not metal, nor do they really ever claim to be. The best description would be "rapcore"

God
It fuking kicks a$$

Lazx
the best album of the year. No one even comes close. F*ck the new kornn

Lazx
the best album of the year. No one even comes close. F*ck the new kornn

S.L.A.Y.E.R.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE IS THE BEST NEW METAL BAND, CLOSELY BEATING DEFTONES AND 7DUST. THIS IS THEIR BEST ALBUM EASILY, SONGS LIKE GUERILLA RADIO, TESTIFY, AND BROKEN MAN SHOW THIS IS ONE "NEW METAL" BAND THAT CARES ABOUT SOCIETY AND WORLD EVENTS. THEY BRING THE OLD SCHOOL "THRASH" METAL, AND EVEN THE EARLY 80S HARDCORE ATTITUDE, INTO NEW METAL. THE FACT IS THAT RAGE USES CATCHY GUITAR RIFFS THAT THE LIKES OF LIMP BIZKIT DO NOT. IN FACTR, ALL LIMP BIZKIT IS ABOUT IS NOT BEING ABLETO GET A F*CK. NOTHING I HAVE AGAINST THEM, BUT RAGE IS A BAND WITH A REAL MESSAGE, ABOUT THINGS THAT APPLY TO US ALL. FREE MUMIA ABDU JAMAL!!!!!!!!!

craig
That album kicks ass

Lamekill Lamar
I love this album, but these guys aren't rap...They are their own style. rap sucl

cris
is great similar toevil empire but you guys still got it

Psycobreed
With all the so-called "neo metal bands" so to say selling out, rage against the machine lashes out with tracks like new millenium homes, war within a breath, sleep know in the fire, and born of a broken man. Some bands just stay true to their style. Rage is the new leader in rock today.

Munky's Bro
The album kicks @$$, nuff said. Oh and one more thing, 'War Within A Breath' and 'Maria' wins as the two best songs in tha best album of '99.

my name is who? my name is what? my name is slim shady
this album rocked

Jason
Another instant classic you can expect, from the only consistent band of the 90s. Tom Morello's thunderous yet vreative guitar riffs tells you why he's the 'Jimmy Page' of the 90s. Plus, Zack's all-out assault of militant rap along with controversial politics takes the music to another level. yTimk's also gotten more creative, adding a wah-wah pedal and effects and Brad's drumming is tasteful as it always has been. His use of the crash cymbal gives the thunderous, metal edge that RAGE inplies along with the hip-hop elements. How many other bands are capable of doing that while being outspoken on political issues that is legimate and controversial? Truly the band of the 90's, they have the most revolutionary musicians of the 90's along with Nirvana and Soundgarden. My favorite song is "Born of a Broken Man" and I suggest all of you to have a listen.

Jason
BOLA is destined to be another classic RAGE album that made this band so revolutionary in the first place. Tom's guitar riffs are slicker than ever and Zack's all-out assault of militant rap along with yTimK's new creative bass setup and Brad's thunderous crash cymbals only means the music's getting bigger and better, as usual.

Dr Fever
The Battle of Los Angeles may well be the album of the year, or at least in the top 3. Once again, Zack DeLa Rocha screams with purpose and Tom Morello contiues to amaze on the six string. The album grabs you by the throat with the first track and doesn't let go until 10 minutes after the album is over. Everyone and Anyone who claims to be a "rock music" fan should own this album! (recommened track: Sleep Now In The Fire-The best R.A.T.M track since Know Your Enemy)
