Exorcist Resurrected
AP reports: When your movie is shelved and you're fired, even the people closest to you assume your film was wretched. So Paul Schrader just wanted it seen.

Now his "Dominion Prequel to the Exorcist" is finally coming out — the same weekend as the hotly anticipated "Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith."

It was deemed too cerebral and scare-free by the production company, Morgan Creek, which brought in Renny Harlin to do some reshoots. By the time Harlin was done, he had remade the movie, and Schrader's finished product was put in the can — to stay. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

The larger of the two men made an obscene gesture. Chi'en stayed composed for several seconds as they appeared to taunt him, but then the reporter asked them what they were doing, using an obscenity.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Fox Goes S*itcom Crazy
Mercury News reports: The Fox network is going to be downright contrary this fall.

While other networks are stepping away from the half-hour sitcom, Fox has announced an autumn schedule that embraces it with nine returning comedies and two new ones. In addition, the network -- once home of ``The X-Files'' -- is staying away from the supernatural genre that, after the success of ABC's ``Lost'' this season, will pop up all over the other networks' lineups come September. And, in something of a rejection of its recent past, Fox doesn't have a single reality show on its schedule until ``American Idol'' returns in January.
