The new album, recorded at Woodland Sound Studios in Nashville, TN and produced by David Rawlings, is set to be released on June 2nd via Hub Records. Watch the new video here. Taylor Goldsmith explains the inspiration for the new album title, "The main line of the title track is 'And may all your favorite bands stay together.' I know that my favorite bands are a really deep part of who I am. They help define me, they help represent me, they trigger certain emotional memories, and they stand for the ideals and lifestyle that I will always hope to achieve. And I don't mean rock and roll fantasies, but rather concepts like freedom and enlightenment. "I would love for someone wishing me well to put it in the terms of 'may all your favorite bands stay together.' That would be a real friend. That person would know what truly matters. To me, the statement of 'All Your Favorite Bands' immediately gets down to a highly personal and singular part of anybody in a way that few other concepts can. So that's why we named our record after that song." Taylor went on to explain the making of the new album, "Despite taking these songs on the road a little before heading into the studio, the only things we've ever been concerned with are honoring the songs and the inspired moments that come from truly playing together and reacting to each other "Not only expressing ourselves by how we play individually, but also expressing each other by how we play together. After spending so much time playing music on stages and having to react in the moment, creating comfort zones in the studio where we're supposed to take our time, play separately, and play songs as many times as we wanted feels foreign and uncomfortable. "In short, having to think about the bigger picture rather than our individual performances is what makes us a band. With this new record, all the lead vocals, guitar solos, simultaneous piano and organ and of course bass and drums were all done at the same time. And listening back, we really felt like we were listening to the way we thought we sounded. And that's all we could ever want."

Dobrev wrote, "I've just spent the most beautiful weekend on Lake Lanier in Georgia with my own TVD Family, the cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries. I want to be the first to tell you that it wasn't just a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party. "I always knew I wanted Elena's story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime. I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger. I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there's still so much more to come before the season finale in May. Elena fell in love not once, but twice, with two epic soulmates, and I myself made some of the best friends I'll ever know and built an extended family I will love forever. "There's more to come before we wrap this up, and I promise you'll get to hear all about my experiences over the next month as we approach the season finale (I have given an exclusive interview for the June issue of SELF Magazine that I am excited for you to see!), but until then I invite you to hop on the roller coaster ride that is Elena Gilbert's life and join me as I celebrate her and prepare to say goodbye to her - and to my work family - as I move on to the next chapter of my life. I want to share this goodbye with all of you (this weekend's pictures were just the beginning). You, the wonderful fandom who gave more love, support and passion than anyone could have ever imagined seven years ago, when a young Degrassi girl from Canada showed up in LA to audition for 'that Twilight TV show.' ;-) I love you all. Fasten your seatbelts. If you think you know what's coming, you don't." Visit her Intagram to see the photos here.

The video, directed by Sam Esty Raymer, has Morrissey singing in front of his live band while the video cuts to females in lingerie as lyrics to his song are written in red lipstick on their chests, arms and back. "Stock yard. Church yard. Your Mommy's backyard. I don't care when or where. I only care that the two of us are there," he sings. The new video comes days after Morrissey announced his new U.S. tour dates for his World Peace Is None of Your Business Tour. The tour kicks off June 11. Read more and watch the video here.
Taken from her official debut album, Souled Out, the song is a clear-eyed look back over her life to date, choosing to focus on "all of the good things" and being at peace with it all. For the video, Aiko dramatizes the real-life events surrounding a car accident she was involved in with members of her family, including young daughter Namiko. With her face in the center of the shot singing the song's lyrics, the camera slowly pans out to reveal the aftermath of the crash in the background, with an ambulance arriving on the scene to tend to the injured. Toward the end of the clip, there are images interspersed showing moments leading up to the accident, as well as shots of Aiko's late brother, Miyagi, who died of cancer in 2012. The video ends with an onscreen dedication to him. Watch the clip here.
In a statement posted on Facebook, David Lynch revealed that he would not be directing the new season of the show (which was announced last fall) because of a disagreement about money. "Dear Facebook Friends, Showtime did not pull the plug on Twin Peaks. After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done," Lynch wrote. "This weekend I started to call actors to let them know I would not be directing. Twin Peaks may still be very much alive at Showtime. I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things could have worked out differently." Read more here.
I wrote the song in Nashville with a great writer/friend of mine called Angela Kaset, inspired by a wonderful friend of mine who is sadly no longer around. She was the grand-mother of a family I stayed with for a while when I first moved to Atlanta. She was in her 80's when I met her, and had grown up in New York City. We were talking over dinner one evening about past relationships and she told me about the first man she ever fell in love with. Although the romance didn't last, she often thought about him during the decades that passed and always held onto that feeling, wondering how things might have been if life had taken a slightly different direction or they had stayed together. I think everyone can relate to that feeling of falling in love for the first time and no matter where life takes you or how old you are, it's something you never forget. Now that we can all too easily look our exes up on Facebook, I wonder if the era of the idealised, romantic memory of a lost first love might be ending! The recording process for this song was interesting, and a lot more challenging than I had anticipated. I think it's often the case that creating something very simple can be harder than creating something complicated. I wanted the song to be as bare as we could possibly make it, and let the vocals and lyrics take centre stage, so we stripped back a lot of the instruments we had originally recorded in the session and Dennis [Dennis Matkosky, the producer] built up a very gentle background, layering vocal sounds and adding in small amounts of piano. Out of all the songs on the record, this one probably ended up taking the longest to put together and mix until it was just right, but it was definitely worth it and I absolutely love what we finished with. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
