Lady Gaga is the first performer to be announced for the MTV Video Music Aid Japan, the tenth annual MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) which is being staged as a live international music television event to benefit the Japanese Red Cross. Hosted by Japanese pop star AKB48 and featuring live performances from international, regional and Japanese artists, the staging of MTV Video Music Aid Japan will be the culmination of MTV Japan's Music Of Hope campaign, the channel's multiplatform response to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. more on this story
