Joe Jonas Rushed To The Emergency Room
(TMZ) Joe Jonas checked into an emergency room in L.A. while doctors inspected his abs -- for severe stomach pains -- 48 hours after Joe did some late night partying in Chicago.

A rep for Joe confirms he went to the emergency room at Children's Hospital L.A. on Sunday. We're told Joe was only at the hospital briefly ... and it's not clear what was wrong with him.

One potential hint -- on Friday night (into Saturday morning) Joe was out at a Chicago hot spot Board Room Nightclub partying after his concert.

Whatever the problem was ... Joe felt good enough to eat out Sunday night -- we spotted him and his bro Nick leaving Katsuya Sunday night. Sushi after stomach troubles? Risky, Joe. more on this story

India.Arie Sabotaged Her Own Career?
(TMZ) India.Arie's former manager isn't just suing her for money she claims she's owed ... she also believes India sabotaged her own career, which cost her even more money ... this according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

According to a lawsuit filed earlier this year in federal court in Tennessee, Noreen Nalli served as India.Arie's manager from 2005-2009, when she claims Arie dumped her without notice.

The two are now involved in a she-said-she-said battle. Nalli claims India.Arie still owes her money from when they worked together and India.Arie counter-sued ... claiming she overpaid Nalli.

But here's the interesting part ... Nalli claims India.Arie constantly canceled shows, rejected offers to perform, and would be unavailable for weeks at a time ... which hurt record sales and therefore cost Nalli additional money.

A rep for India.Arie tells TMZ that "she remains hopeful that the matter will be resolved amicably." more on this story

Someone Else Claims Avatar Idea Was Stolen
(TMZ) Turns out every sci-fi nerd on the planet had the idea for "Avatar" before James Cameron -- because the director is now being sued AGAIN for allegedly stealing the concept for the movie ... this time for more than $2 bil.

Bryant Moore -- a science fiction writer not-famous for his screenplays "Aquatica" and "Descendants: The Pollination" -- claims Cameron used the two screenplays as the basis for "Avatar."

In his lawsuit, Moore points out various similarities, including bioluminescent flora/plant life, unbreathable atmospheres, matriarch support of hero vs. heroine, spiritual connections to environment and reincarnation, appearance of mist in scene, sunlight to moonlight, crackling from gargantuan foliage, blue skin/green skin and battle scene on limbs/branches.

Moore is also going after 20th Century Fox and Cameron's production company. He wants more than $1.5 billion in actual damages and more than $1 bil in punitives.

"Avatar" raked in more than $2.78 billion worldwide. more on this story

(popmusiclife) Following their appearance on last week's US version of The X Factor, Florence And The Machine continue to make the rounds in America.

Monday, the band stopped by The View to perform "Shake It Out" from their new album, "Ceremonials."

Given the huge critical and fan reaction to the record, Florence was asked what keeps her grounded. "I think the fact that it hasn't really stopped," she said. "Since the last album, it's been ongoing, and you almost don't quite have time to take stock. But, then when I do go home, I live with my family, and get to go home and be with my mother…and kind of do normal stuff like shout at my little brother." Check out the performance here.

Cameron Diaz Goes Full Throttle
(TMZ) Cameron Diaz spent her weekend going full throttle ... or at least as much as one can behind the wheel of a go-kart.

Diaz was spotted in Carson, CA at a place called Go Kart World. We're told Cameron was there serving as a chaperone to a group of about seven boys and girls.

According to our spies, Cam picked up the tab for everyone ($25 a piece) and was quite the skilled racer. She seemed to take it quite seriously ... winning the first race and finishing second in the next.

Perhaps something good came out of those "Charlie's Angels" movies after all. more on this story

Step Father Slams Kobe Bryant's Soon To Be Ex-Wife
(TMZ) Kobe Bryant should have known his soon-to-be ex-wife would take him to the cleaners in their divorce ... because she learned the wallet-raiding playbook from her mother ... so says Vanessa's ex-step dad.

TMZ spoke with Stephen Laine -- an inventory manager for a food company who was married to Vanessa's mother from 1990 to 2003 ... and helped raise Vanessa from a child into adulthood.

Laine tells us, "Her mother taught her well to wait for the ten-year mark [before divorcing]."

He explains, "In California ... it's considered a long term marriage and then she gets paid for life or until she remarries ... just like her mother is doing to me."

Laine continues, "I have to pay her mom $1,800 every month and clearly they don't need it."

Sources close to Vanessa tell us ... Kobe's soon-to-be ex-mother-in-law is currently living in one of the BBaller's mansions ... and we're told Vanessa is very good to her.

Laine gripes, "I have a six-year-old daughter and that money could be used toward her college fund or something ... you'd think she'd care .. but no, she's spiteful." more on this story

Cops Respond To Home of Director of Michael Jackson's This Is It
(TMZ) LAPD officers raced to the home of Michael Jackson's "This Is It" director Kenny Ortega last week ... after an alarm went off in his home ... and TMZ has learned cops called in a chopper to help search for a possible bad guy.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... there was a breach in the garage that triggered the alarm ... and the alarm company notified police.

We're told when cops arrived, they didn't see any signs of a crime -- but just to be safe, they called for the eye in the sky to search for a possible crook ... who may have been scared off when the alarm was triggered.

FYI -- people in the area are on high alert because of a rash of burglaries ... but in this case, cops believe it was probably a false alarm. more on this story
