The "Party in the USA" singer performed her version of the 1975 hit "Landslide" while in Brisbane, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. "Landslide" is not the only well-known song Cyrus has trotted out lately. The former Hannah Montana actress has made headlines for singing Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Poison's "Every Rose Has its Thorn." She even recorded a version of the latter with Poison frontman Bret Michaels. Check out the video

According to NME.com, the actor-turned-singer sang tracks from his recent movie Crazy Heart as well as "Slow Boat" from the new record, as well as a version of Bob Dylan's "The Man in Me" which he dedicated to his wife. The Dylan song has a famous connection to Bridges, because it appeared in The Big Lebowski, which starred Bridges as The Dude. Celebrities looking on included Pierce Brosnan, Ryan Reynolds and Olivia Wilde. more on this story
The hacker group behind the e-vandalism -- who call themselves SwagSec -- took to Twitter this morning to gloat, posting a link to Amy's website ... showcasing their online dirty work. SwagSec -- which took over Amy's website with a bizarre expletive-filled hacker-speak rant -- claims the goal is to "take back the Internet from the white devil" ... adding, "DEATH 2 THE WHITE DEVIL." As of this posting, the site still hasn't been fixed. So far, no word back from Winehouse's camp. more on this story
According to the medical examiner, Savage suffered from cardiovascular disease -- and the deadly "cardiac event" resulted from the condition. According to the toxicology report, Savage tested positive for alcohol and hydrocodone (an opiate) during the time of his death ... but neither played a role in his death. As we previously reported, the wrestler's brother said Savage experienced a heart attack before the accident -- and that's what caused him to lose control of his vehicle on a Florida highway and slam into a tree. more on this story
"I think labels, for the most part, want to sign new discoveries so that that label alone is seen to be responsible for the rise of the artist," the singer said, speaking to Pitchfork. "Not many labels want bands who have already made their mark, because their success is usually attributed to some other label somewhere else at another time." Morrissey added that it's not just record labels who fixate on an artist's early work. Journalists, he says, are guilty as well. "The press only writes about me in terms of The Smiths story," he said. "The fact that I've had three solo number one albums or even 25 years of eventful solo activity is never mentioned anywhere. Odd." more on this story
According to Music-news.com, Britain's "Peter Pan of Pop" was recently in Memphis working on a soul album (Soulicious) with producer David Gest and singers Freda Payne and Candi Staton. While visiting Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis, Gest bet Richard that he couldn't cook Southern food. Sir Cliff, however, cooked up a feast and Staton said she had, "never seen a white man cook Cajun fried rice and southern potato salad like Cliff; he's obviously got a lot of soul in that rather lean body of his." more on this story
The guitarist and singer-songwriter's distinct style pushes the boundaries of rock and blues, and this 11-song powerhouse of his trademark slide playing could very well be the vehicle to drive his inspiration from the roadhouse in to mainstream music.
The band will play several festivals along the way, with several big club dates rounding out the tour.
The free show will start at 8 p.m. with the singing of the National Anthem and an F-15 fighter jet fly over at McConnell-Talbert Stadium and will conclude with a celebratory fireworks show. This year marks the 29th year of the annual partnership concert and it is expected to draw an upwards of 30,000 people. The show will be taped and broadcast on the Fourth of July on American Forces Network, a television broadcast network that serves American service men and women and their families stationed at bases overseas. more on this story

The Death of Andy Kaufman takes on the many mysteries and theories surrounding Andy Kaufman's death, and through exclusive interviews with family and friends, rare performances by Kaufman, and the filmmakers own personal investigation, we are brought closer to understanding mind and myth of one of the most celebrated and mysterious performance artists all time, often with unexpected results. Matthew Nestel of Boxoffice Magazine writes: "Filmmaker Christopher Maloney used good 'ol reportage to make The Death of Andy Kaufman. The documentary is a lo-fi whodunit that would make heyday Woodward and Bernstein doff their hats. Playing the intermediary, Maloney follows the leads and does so with a spirit that goes beyond entertainment shtick-he truly wants to put to rest whether or not self-described "song and dance man" Andy Kaufman faked his own death and is still ticking somewhere on a New Mexican mountaintop or skirting his cares as a derelict along the Venice Beach Boardwalk. The young Sherlock is searching for the soul rather than the spectacle of a talented individual who left the stage a legend. Scraping the marrow in terms of budget, the film's foundation is stitched with dental floss and tied to a splintered toothpick. With only beans and a will to work with, the movie makes magic sans a big crew and stockades of equipment. Tragic that the picture will only show on a few screens-robbing the potential masses of a treat." Trailer is here
Celebrating the track, and as part of their regularly occurring "Island Wednesdays," they are asking fans to get creative and turn the lyrics for the song "You Could Be My Girl" into a MAD LIB contest.
