Sources familiar with the meeting tell TMZ ... Charlie sat down last Thursday with Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment for FOX, David Hill, President of FOX Sports, and Peter Rice, Chariman of Entertainment for FOX Networks Group. During the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, the group brainstormed about various possible projects for Charlie, including a late night show. more on this story
TMZ has obtained a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that dancers were required to sign before working on her latest music video. It specifically states, "Contractor acknowledges that it is essential that [Britney] not be exposed to any alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances." The NDA even goes on to say that the dancers can be subjected to drug testing at any time and can be fired for failing a test or even refusing to take one. more on this story

We're told the guy was there for about two hours when the team finally said enough is enough ... and called the LAPD. Born in Philadelphia, Marcucci and songwriting partner Peter DeAngelis started Chancellor Records during the late 1950s. Things really took off when Marcucci discovered Avalon at a nightclub in 1957. He and Angelis even co-wrote the hit song that launched Avalon's career � "DeDe Dinah." "It was the worst song I ever heard in my life," said Marcucci in the 2006 book Great Pretenders: My Strange Love Affair with 50s Pop Music. A statement on his website reads, "Ferlin passed away today in the Critical Care unit of a Nashville-area hospital where he had been under intensive care for several days. Truly one of the greats of country music, and a great individual who helped foster the careers of many others, we will miss our friend greatly." Born in 1925 in rural Missouri, Husky got his start as a radio DJ and honky tonk singer, launching a seven-decade-long career as a country music star with a comic flair. Ferlin was one of the first country singers to earn a star along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and was inducted last year into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Knut passed away in his habitat this morning of still-to-be determined causes at the age of 4. A rep for PETA tells TMZ they contacted to Berlin Zoo months ago to alert them to the fact that Knut was being "terrorized" by three female polar bears -- including his own mother! The rep tells us, "PETA Germany repeatedly asked zoo authorities to move Knut away from the three females to a different location. His premature death could possibly have been avoided. Polar bears don't belong in captivity." more on this story
