TMZ has learned ... Bieber agreed to be one of 4 celebrity mentors assigned to one of the 4 judges ... Simon, L.A., Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. Bieber agreed to help out L.A.'s squad ... and yesterday, Justin went to a home in the Hollywood Hills to dish out some advice to the contestants. It's unclear which celebrities have been tapped to help out the other judges -- but good luck doing better than Bieber. more on this story
The actress will play Missi, an old family friend of Ashton Kutcher's character, Walden, who comes to visit his house for a week. Since it's a comedy, we all know it can't be that simple so it seems Miley will develop a relationship with Jake (Angus T. Jones). more on this story
Law enforcement sources tell us ... Santa Monica police detectives have been trying to get in touch with Lindsay to ask her questions about a car crash last June, when she slammed into a big rig on Pacific Coast Highway. Sources say Linsday's lawyer, Shawn Holley, called the station and complained that cops should not be calling Lindsay directly because she has an attorney. We broke the story ... Lindsay lied to cops when she told them she was NOT the driver, but a passenger. Cops are convinced Lindsay was indeed behind the wheel and are now investigating. Sources tell us the follow-up questions relate to Lindsay's alleged lying to cops -- which is a crime punishable by 1 year in jail. We're told the case will be referred to prosecutors. It will also be sent to the L.A. City Attorney for a possible probation violation in her necklace conviction. more on this story

The transient in question -- a man named Jonathan Kirby -- is still sporting two black eyes ... presumably from the nose-breaking punch LL delivered on the night Kirby broke into his home last week. During the hearing, Kirby pled "not guilty" to 1st degree burglary with a person present. As we reported, the L.A. County District Attorney charged Kirby as a 3rd strike offender, which means Kirby now faces life in prison if convicted. Kirby's bail was set at $1.1 million. You know Michael's famous words -- "oooh baby give me one more chance" ... but that's about all Reinhart remembered when she sang the Motown classic at the W Hotel in Hollywood last weekend. In the video ... Reinhart forgets the lyrics in the VERY FIRST verse, momentarily gets back on track, and then flubs again -- all while peeking at the lyrics on her phone. Not that it helped. Haley weathered a few hecklers -- like a man yelling, "You don't know the words!" more on this story

Parker had sued the club for $20 mil ... claiming it should pay for the damage he sustained when he took a shard of glass to the eye in the bottle-throwing melee back in June. In his lawsuit, Parker claimed W.i.P. should have been aware of the "bad blood" between the two stars ... and never should have let them inside the establishment on that fateful night. But now the nightclub is firing back, claiming Parker's got it all wrong ... because it's not the club's job to keep tabs on its patrons' personal lives -- so it can't be held responsible for not knowing about the beef. Parker also claims the nightclub supplied booze to extremely intoxicated patrons, which helped fuel the brawl that led to the basketball player's injuries -- but the club says Parker's got no case ... so he can pound sand. W.i.P. wants the lawsuit dismissed in its entirety. A judge has yet to rule. more on this story
Sources tell us ... Evelyn agreed to sit down with Robin on "Good Morning America" to discuss the Aug. 11 domestic violence incident -- because she feels Roberts has tremendous integrity as a reporter. The interview was set for this week, but hit a snag when Lozada asked Robin to tape the segment at her hotel ... since Evelyn wanted a private setting for such a serious conversation. We're told Roberts couldn't make that happen because she would have to miss a treatment session for her blood disorder ... myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). As we reported, Roberts is scheduled to start a leave of absence this Friday to receive a bone marrow transplant. We're told Amy Robach is stepping in for Robin, but Evelyn's more than happy with the replacement. more on this story
Kelly was fighting to bring her kids back to the U.S. Her ex, Daniel Giersch, lives in France and can't come back to the U.S. because his visa has been revoked. The judge ruled Kelly has a flexible schedule and can go back and forth to France to spend time with her kids. The court gave Kelly the right to have the children -- ages 5 and 3 -- 50% of the time. But Kelly doesn't see it that way. Sources tell us she believes it's virtually impossible now for her to spend meaningful time with the kids, given the enormous travel commitments that would be involved. We're told Kelly plans to appeal the ruling. more on this story
Nassif just released an emotional statement to TMZ ... saying, "Adrienne and I have tried very hard to make our marriage work, but this is the best course for both of us." "This is a difficult time for our family and my prime focus is to ensure our boys are well and happy." He continues ... "In addition, sadly I just lost my father yesterday -- a man who taught me how to be a man. I deeply appreciate the outpouring of support from family, friends and patients. We will get through this." Maloof was expected to file her own set of divorce papers earlier today at the same time as Paul ... but backed out at the last minute. It's possible she changed her plans out of respect for the Nassif family. more on this story
According to the doc, the Murphy Police Dept. claims officers were dispatched to McMillen High School around 9:30 AM on Monday ... to check out a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. When cops arrived to the scene, they discovered Rhonda Aikman in the driver's seat ... with the engine turned off. Officers claim Rhonda "fumbled" to open the door ... but once she did, cops say they could immediately "smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle." In the report, cops say Rhonda was slurring her words when she talked and had little control over her body movement. Still, cops say Rhonda denied being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Cops asked her to step out of the vehicle, but she allegedly refused ... so two cops "forcefully removed" her from the car. Cops then determined she was a danger to herself and others and was arrested for public intoxication. According to the report, cops went through Rhonda's vehicle and found 2 water bottles half filled with a yellow liquid that was cold and smelled like alcohol. They also allegedly found a bottle of Colozapam ... a prescription drug commonly used to treat seizures and panic disorders. Cops say they also found a small dog in the car. The dog was transported to a police animal shelter. The dog has since been recovered. Aikman was reportedly cooperative once she arrived to the police station. She has been released from custody. It's unclear why Aikman was at the high school to begin with ... but a male friend who claims to be "sort of dating" her told police she was trying to drive to her mother's home and "must have gotten lost." more on this story
Furlong was out in L.A. yesterday -- wearing what appears to be the same shirt he wore during the robbery -- when we asked how the Skid Row wallet-snatching panned out ... and Furlong said he got his stuff back!!! TMZ broke the story ... Furlong flagged a police officer last Thursday, claiming he asked a stranger for directions ... and the guy jacked his wallet. Furlong tells us, he was coming from a friend's art studio at the time and had no idea where he was. more on this story
The 8,000 square foot house -- which has a detached nightclub -- was listed for $12.9 million and sold for $11 million. Sounds great, except Ryan paid $11.5 million when he bought it back in 2006. Blame the housing market ... but we're guessing it's not going to make a dent in Ryan's wallet. The sale became official yesterday morning. The new buyers are some rich English folk. By the way, Ryan bought the house from Kevin Costner. Kevin purchased it from Richard Dreyfuss. Ryan and Julianne Hough are now living in Ellen's former mega-mansion, which he purchased for a cool $37.5 million. The big winner in all of this ... Kurt Rappaport, who represented Ryan in the sale of his old home and the purchase of Ellen's estate. Rappaport also repped Ellen in the sale. So Kurt got a nice chunk of $50 million worth of real estate. Not bad. more on this story
