Day in Pop Report for 12/04/2012
We spoke to the guy in the jersey ... who tells us Lachey and his buddies -- all die-hard Bengals fans -- had been talking trash to him about the jersey for most of the 2nd half of the game. The Chargers fan says Lachey made one particularly offensive comment about Olshansky that crossed the line ... and that's when the fan's wife shot back to Nick, "Well, he lasted longer than your boy band." We're told Lachey flipped out and called the wife a profanity ... along with "a host of other profanities." Tensions exploded ... and the Chargers fan says Nick lunged towards him ... grabbed him by the throat and shoved him to the ground. The fight can be seen in the footage obtained by TMZ. As we previously reported, stadium security quickly responded and ejected Nick and his buddies. The Chargers fans were NOT asked to leave. After the incident, Nick went to Twitter and BRAGGED about the situation -- saying, "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals." He later acknowledged the altercation ... tweeting, "i simply don't appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction." We're told the Chargers fan plans to file a police report against Lachey. Nick's rep tells TMZ, "This is a gross misrepresentation of what happened. It was nothing but a spirited debate between fans of opposing teams. At no point did Nick say anything derogatory to the man's wife and anything to suggest the contrary is simply untrue." Auctioned at Julien's in Los Angeles, Jackson's gear sold for more than $5 million, with some proceeds to benefit Guide Dogs of America and Nathan Adelson Hospice of Las Vegas. The Mirror reports Gaga's purchases included Jackson's studded leather "Bad" jacket and his spangly white glove. more on this story
As TMZ first reported, Lindsay has become so stressed out by her impending probation violation, she's reportedly been hitting the bottle hard ... drinking as much as two liters of vodka per day. According to our sources, close friends of Lindsay have been urging her to go to rehab BEFORE she goes to court ... hoping the move might win her favor with the judge. But we're told Lindsay is having none of it ... telling friends she does not think she has a problem with alcohol. Our sources say Lindsay points to the fact that she recently completed three movies as proof she does not need rehab. We're told Lindsay is worried about the upcoming hearing, but maintains she will not check into rehab as a way to try and avoid jail time. more on this story
The tour kicks off on March 14 in Dallas and currently runs through April 3 in Denver and will feature support from Sharon Van Etten. The band will be touring in support of their forthcoming album, Push the Sky Away, which will be released on February 19, 2013 on CD, vinyl, digital download and as a deluxe edition. more on this story
Fans will be able to stream the album in its entirety starting today. Due December 11, the project was produced by Mars along with his songwriting/production team the Smeezingtons. Jeff Bhasker, Mark Ronson and Diplo also worked on the album. "This is me locking myself in the studio and being free recording whatever it is I want to record," Mars told VH1 about the record. "Just being inspired by all different styles of music, and isn't that what music should be?" Listen to the new song here.
The track is the third single to be taken from their album Elysium which was released in September this year and produced by Grammy-winning producer Andrew Dawson. The first will include a brand new mix of "Memory of the future" by ace dance-pop producer Stuart Price (Madonna, Kylie Minogue, The Killers), and three brand new Pet Shop Boys bonus tracks. On Friday, Shawn Holley, Gabriel's lawyer, told the judge her client no longer needed to keep Olivier away from him. As TMZ first reported ... the parties struck an agreement Thursday to end their mega-dispute, which revolves around 4-year-old Nahla. The remaining issue ... Olivier made a citizen's arrest after the fight and the case is going to the L.A. City Attorney for review. We're told it's "highly unlikely" Gabriel will be prosecuted. more on this story

The crash occurred on November 14th in Nashville -- where Hayden films her show "Nashville" -- and according to the crash report, the accident occurred for two reasons ... 1) Hayden ran a red light ... and 2) the other driver turned into Hayden's lane. According to the report, Hayden was driving in the right lane through an intersection when the other driver made a left turn into her lane -- instead of into the left lane. A witness reported Hayden had a red light at the time of the accident. According to the report, both vehicles were towed from the scene -- but thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. The man behind the lawsuit is Doug Gotterba -- who claims he served as Travolta's pilot from 1981 to 1987. Gotterba made headlines recently when he reportedly spoke to the National Enquirer about his "steamy affair" with the actor. Gotterba does not go into detail about his personal relationship with Travolta in the lawsuit ... but says after the media tidal wave that ensued, he received a threatening letter from Travolta's attorney Marty Singer. In the suit, Gotterba claims Singer threatened to sue him for violating a confidentiality agreement he signed when he stopped working for Travolta. Gotterba claims he DID sign a termination agreement ... but it didn't include anything about confidentiality. Therefore, Gotterba says he did nothing wrong ... and should be allowed to talk about Travolta without fear of a lawsuit. But Singer tells TMZ Gotterba's lawsuit is "ridiculous" ... because he DID sign a contract that contains a confidentiality agreement ... and he even included the document in his lawsuit. Singer adds, "Mr. Gotterba obviously filed this lawsuit to get his 15 minutes of fame. We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed." more on this story
Kat just filed her request for the stay-away order in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming a man named Michael Nunn has been contacting her relentlessly on Twitter -- talking about her personal business and even posting her home phone number on the web. Kat says she's had multiple close encounters with Nunn over the last seven months -- first in April, when he showed up at her house and called her phone ... and again in June at a public event. Kat says the scary messages have continued on Twitter non-stop -- and she believes Nunn exhibits "delusional and paranoid tendencies, including the belief that the FBI is watching him." The temporary restraining order required Nunn to stay 100 yards away from Kat at all times -- and stop contacting her on the Internet. A hearing has been scheduled for later this month to decide whether to make it permanent. more on this story
Iverson purchased the home back in 2010 for $4.5 million -- but according to official records, he defaulted on his mortgage and the bank foreclosed. Now, the home is set to be sold at auction on December 4th ... along with all the crap inside. Iverson's currently going through a nasty divorce with his estranged wife, and he's famously been dealing with money problems ... including a nearly-million-dollar debt to a Georgia jeweler. Members of Kasandra's family tell TMZ ... Jovan and Kasandra always seemed to be in love. In fact, we're told when Kasandra got pregnant, she and Jovan were "ecstatic." The family says ever since the baby was born in September, the two couldn't have seemed happier together. The 22-year-old's family says they have NO IDEA why the relationship took a tragic turn -- when Jovan allegedly shot and killed Kasandra before taking his own life -- and news of their deaths was both devastating and unexpected. Jovan started playing with the Chiefs in 2009 -- and Kasandra, who is originally from Texas moved to Missouri to be with him. more on this story
Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... Nash's ex-wife Alejandra wants to move the former couple's three children from AZ to L.A. We're told Nash has objected and is waging a legal war to prevent it from happening. Our sources say Alejandra hired one of the biggest divorce lawyers in L.A., Lance Spiegel, to fight Nash in both AZ and California courts. As for why Nash doesn't want his kids moving closer to him, we called his rep but haven't heard back. Based on our research, one thing's for sure ... Nash will get socked for WAYYY more child support in CA than AZ. We're told there is a gag order in place ... so no one can talk about the case. Spiegel told TMZ, "I can't comment on the information you attribute to sources connected with TMZ." He adds, "I confirm that I have been retained by Alejandra, that I cannot comment because of the reasons described and that Alejandra is not available for comment." more on this story
We broke the story ... a police report was filed against Brown for "robbery by sudden snatching" after he allegedly grabbed an iPhone from a woman outside Cameo nightclub and said, "Bitch, you ain't going to put that on no website." But after a thorough investigation, the Miami-Dade State Attorney tells TMZ ... "The Miami Beach Police Department and my prosecutors have reviewed all of the evidence and taken the statements of numerous witnesses, many of whom were interviewed in California, and have determined we are not taking any type of criminal action regarding the incident." "We have forwarded our findings to Los Angeles for the probation case review after conducting the same process that every criminal case in Miami-Dade County undergoes." Officials say the rapper Tyga was interviewed as a witness in the case -- because the phone ultimately ended up in the hands of Devon Blanche -- the head of Tyga's head of security team. According to police, Blanche told investigators, "Brown may have taken [the phone] because Brown is known to be especially concerned that if photographs of himself with two females got out, it might cause him problems with Rihanna." Blanche's statement was made in February -- when Brown was still dating Karrueche Tran. Tyga also spoke with police ... but according to the report, he told investigators Brown DID snatch the phone from the woman. Tran also issued a statement to police during the investigation -- in which she said the woman who owned the cell phone had stuck the phone into Brown's car ... and struck Karrueche in the front of the head. During the incident, Tran claims the woman dropped the phone in the car ... and it was eventually tossed out the window. more on this story
