Russell's lawyer filed final divorce papers Tuesday ... although the judge will make the divorce official on June 30, because there's a 6 month waiting period. Informed sources tell TMZ ... Russell and Katy did NOT have a prenup. As a result, everything they earned during their 14-month marriage is community property -- which means they're each entitled to 50% of the pot. Katy made $44 million between May, 2010 and May, 2011 -- according to Forbes. The couple Married in October, 2010, so Russell could have scored a fortune if he exercised his community property rights. But here's the deal. As one source put it, "This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)." He doesn't want Katy's money. He's happy to walk away with the money he earned -- which is far less than what Katy raked in. more on this story
Billboard says widespread media reports that Del Rey had scrapped a planned, as-yet-unannounced spring tour to hone her live show are false since a spring tour was never in the works to begin with. The New York Post reported Lana had postponed a string of spring tour dates to distance herself from her panned "Saturday Night Live" performance last month. more on this story

Cops investigated the situation ... and now the City Attorney has decided there is not enough evidence to prove Kobe did anything wrong. Case closed. more on this story
Underwater Sunshine (or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation) is a collection of songs, both familiar and obscure, interpreted by one of the most soulful and recognizable bands of the past two decades. Underwater Sunshine is a testament of a band geek-obsessed with music. "There's a million great songs written every day that you discover, and wish your friends could appreciate as much as you do," says singer/songwriter Adam Duritz. "These songs come from bands young and old, stretching from the early 60s to last year. They're all great and will hopefully be heard by a few more people now." more on this story

Sources close to Brooke tell TMZ ... Brooke checked in to C.L. on December 12. We published a photo of Brooke boarding a plane bound for the Utah facility. Sources say Brooke is confident this stint will be successful because she made the decision to check into Cirque on her own ... because she wants to get clean ... and not because of pressure from other people. We're told Brooke's current stint is the longest she's ever stayed in rehab ... and she plans to continue the program for another 30-45 days. Brooke spent two months in an in-patient program at the Lodge ... but we're told she recently began renting a home in the area and has been moved to an out-patient program so she can begin her transition back to normal life. We're told Brooke is grateful for the support she's been receiving from her ex-husband Charlie Sheen ... who is helping to care for their twin boys while she gets help. more on this story
Bonds is appealing his sentence for felony obstruction of justice -- but for now he's free on a few conditions ... one of which is he cannot possess any "firearm, ammunition, destructive device, or other dangerous weapon." Barry must want to take some batting practice -- because according to docs filed yesterday ... a federal judge has approved his request to make an exception for baseball bats. Anyone who saw Bonds slug one of his 762 home runs knows ... a bat (with or without a syringe) should be considered a dangerous weapon in his hands. more on this story

The caller -- who owns one of the cars Loney hit in his silver Maserati -- describes the entire incident in suspenseful detail ... WHILE IT'S HAPPENING. When the person on the phone makes the call, she says Loney is "'completely passed out in the front seat" after colliding with several cars -- but Loney wakes up before she ends the call, and tries to take off. The caller freaks out -- screaming, "Oh my god! Oh my god! He tried to leave the scene ... He woke up, and he slammed on the gas and took off across all the lanes on the freeway." The caller says Loney quickly hit another car and ended up on the other side of the highway with a broken axle. You gotta hear the clip. As we first reported, cops handcuffed Loney on the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital for evaluation, where he was later arrested on suspicion of DUI. Cops say they obtained a blood sample to test for drugs -- but it came back negative. The L.A. City Attorney has since rejected the case due to insufficient evidence. Loney's rep had no comment. more on this story
TMZ broke the story ... some woman named Mahogany Miller filed a lawsuit against Flo Rida, claiming the rapper worked her to the bone last summer for a paltry $3.08 an hour. Miller claims she confronted Flo over the low wages, and he fired her. But Flo's lawyer Sandy Becher claims she's delusional -- telling us, the girl was never officially hired as an employee in Flo's office ... she was an unpaid volunteer, who begged to work for him as a first step in the music biz. According to the lawyer, she was unqualified for an official position, so Flo took her under his wing as an intern-type worker -- occasionally paying for her lunches or gas money, but nothing was ever guaranteed. What's more -- Flo's lawyer says the rapper didn't fire Miller because she asked for money ... he fired her because her "behavior was inappropriate for the workplace environment." He wouldn't specify why. Flo tells us, "This is ridiculous that I gave someone an opportunity out of the goodness of my heart and now sadly I am being falsely targeted." more on this story
The band's first show will be on February 25th at Chicago, IL's Beat Kitchen. The headlining show will celebrate the release of the EP and copies will be available at the show.

Amar'e -- who has already missed one game over the tragedy -- tells us, "I am going to take a few days to be with my family and grieve the loss of my big brother, Hazell Stoudemire." He adds, "I am humbled by all of the thoughts and prayers I have received. Sources close to the basketball star tell us, the bereavement leave will cost the Knicks three additional games without their star forward. We're told Amar'e is expected to return when the Knicks face off against the Raptors on February 14th -- all depending on how he feels. It's a crushing blow to the team -- especially after Carmelo Anthony strained his groin this week against the Jazz -- but with former benchwarmer Jeremy Lin shocking the world with massive scoring runs ... it might not be so bad. more on this story
TMZ broke the story ... Merriman was charged with two counts of DUI last month after his boozy November arrest in Newport Beach -- and today, the actor pled no contest. Showing no mercy, the judge sentenced Merriman to an accelerated alcohol program -- and 3 years informal, unsupervised probation.
"We're like cocaine and a paycheck, like a rope and a lonely neck, a strong drug in a weak vein, mascara in the rain, yeah when you're with me, we're like razor blades and whiskey." Two years ago, Angaleena Presley and I were set up on a writing appointment. We are both staff writers in town that are notoriously known for being dark! When we got together we were joking around about what we should write about... we talked about "it snowed in hell on Christmas day" and "my dog died on my birthday", being silly, and then I said "Razor Blades and Whiskey." We both looked up and said "Thats it!!!" Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you check out the video right here!
