Tito says, "I completely retract my signature from the July 17th letter sent to the Executors of my brother Michael's estate and repudiate all the claims made against them." He adds, "I don't want any part of that letter whatsoever." The letter Tito is referencing was signed by Jermaine, Janet, Rebbie and Randy ... and accused the executors of failing at their job and stressing out their mother, Katherine Jackson, so badly that she suffered a "mini-stroke." We broke the story ... Tito's son, TJ, is preparing legal docs so he can ask a judge to become the temporary guardian of Michael's 3 kids. No, we're not talking about the FAKE Jepsen pics floating around the Internet ... sources tell us the photos in question are the real deal and have not seen the light of day ... and the Canadian-born singer is desperately trying to keep it that way. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Jepsen's camp received an anonymous tip about the pics back in March ... and immediately called the Vancouver Police Department to report the cyber crime. Cops jumped on the case ... and confirmed the tip was legit, Jepsen HAD been hacked. A rep for the Vancouver PD tells us an active investigation is underway "in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen." In fact, we're told cops already have a potential suspect lined up. Sources tell us ... whoever hacked the pics stands to face some serious charges, including criminal harassment and unauthorized access of a computer ... and could spend some serious time in prison. We reached out to Jepsen's rep for comment -- so far, no word back. more on this story
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the Orleans Parish District Attorney's office has finally decided to go forward and prosecute the actor ... and will file one charge of misdemeanor criminal damage to property against Brand sometime today. TMZ broke the story ... Russell was initially named in a police report on March 12 after snatching a cell phone away from a photog ... and firing it through the window of a nearby building. Russell turned himself in to police on March 15 ... and explained his actions on Twitter -- "Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory." Brand has already prepared himself for a legal battle -- as we reported, the actor has preemptively hired a high-powered New Orleans attorney to fight any possible charges in the case. Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas. Hemsley, who was 74, became famous during his appearances on "All in the Family." The spin-off, "The Jeffersons" was a monster hit. He also starred in the TV show, "Amen." He was also a professional singer and even released the single in 1989, "Ain't that A Kick in the Head." Hemsley had no wife and no kids. TMZ obtained an email DC sent comic book retailers last night asking them to HOLD the new issue of "Batman Inc." -- a fairly new comic book line featuring the Caped Crusader. In the email, DC explains ... "Out of respect for the victims and families in Aurora, Colorado DC Entertainment has made the decision to postpone the release of BATMAN INCORPORATED #3 for one month because the comic contains content that may be perceived as insensitive in light of recent events." The issue was originally scheduled to go on sale tomorrow, July 25 -- now DC is asking retailers to hold the issue until August 22. more on this story
Sources tell TMZ, Mariah -- who made her mentor cameo on "Idol" Season 7 -- was incredibly late for her shoot at the Beverly Hills Hotel," not very nice at all," and ridiculously nitpicky about tiny details. In contrast, the same sources agree J.Lo was a pleasure -- "night and day" compared to Mariah. We're told J.Lo was all about business, in and out, no mess, no fuss. As we reported, Mariah has been tapped as the newest judge for "Idol" next season. The singer reportedly signed a $12 million deal for her first year on the show. more on this story
Justin Williams has filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court .. claiming he took his 10 month old son for a hair follicle drug test earlier this month after he began to suspect Kari Ann had fallen off the wagon and was using drugs around the kid. Justin says the tests came back POSITIVE for meth. In the docs, filed by his attorney Marlo Van Oorschot, Williams says he was initially concerned because the baby "has a habit of sucking on Kari Ann's hair and clothes and I became concerned that he could be affected by drug residue." Justin also claims he found evidence that Kari -- who's struggled with addiction in the past -- had been using drugs in the past 2 months. Now, Justin believes the baby is in danger when he is with Kari Ann .. explaining, "I do not want him to continue to be exposed to smoke from meth or to accidentally ingest illegal drugs while with Kari Ann." Justin is demanding sole legal and physical custody -- and wants to BAN Kari Ann from any sort of unsupervised contact with the kid. He also wants Kari Ann to submit to weekly drug tests .. and if she tests positive, he wants the judge to revoke her visitation entirely. Sunny Mabrey -- a model who once starred in Limp Bizkit's "Nookie" video -- filed documents in L.A. County Superior Court ... asking a judge to end her 7 year marriage to 34-year-old Embry. 36-year-old Sunny -- who filed the documents without a lawyer -- blamed the split on irreconcilable differences. Jepsen continues to ride the wave built on her single, "Call Me Maybe," while Owl City is gearing up for the August 21st release of their new album, "The Midsummer Station." The song is the lead single from Owl City's record and will also appear on Jepsen's debut release, due this fall. "So often the final product, the final result sometimes never exceeds the expectation," Owl City's Adam Young told MTV. "For me, this has happened, and here I am with Carly Rae and it turned out so, so good. So for me, it's a total dream come true." Watch the video here.
On Monday, Bieber tweeted: "Should we show a minute snip of #ALAYLM short film on America's Got Talent this wed then release the video friday or next monday? should we?" he wrote, adding, "And yes Michael Madsen is in the #AsLongAsYouLoveMe short film." We're told 72-year-old Trebek is in "good health" ... in fact, a rep for the show tells us he's already planning to start a couple of new home improvement projects. In probate documents filed Monday in L.A. County Superior Court ... Nate's home in Pomona, CA is valued at $350,000 -- but he still owed $150,000. The documents also list his six children -- 4 daughters, 2 boys -- who will inherit his estate ... which may include much more cash than the $200k. Nate's earnings from his music catalog will ultimately be added to the pot. According to the docs, attorney Alex Borden has been nominated -- by one of Nate's daughters and the mother of one of his boys -- to handle his affairs. more on this story
