In the suit, the company accuses the pop star of deliberately delaying the release of the Lady Gaga doll, pushing back a planned Christmas release until next year to coincide with an album release, according to the BBC. Lady Gaga's merchandising company calls the complaint "meritless," reports the BBC. You read more from both sides in their report here.

TJ filed the docs with the court before today's hearing -- and in the papers, TJ claims Katherine was being manipulated by family members who were hellbent on controlling Katherine. In fact, TJ claims one of his aunts -- either Janet or Rebbie -- arranged for a person to IMPERSONATE A DOCTOR to convince Katherine to blow off a concert series and instead fly with her conspiratorial children to Arizona. TJ claims he had been assisting with the care of MJ's children since MJ died ... and even before Katherine disappeared, she placed them in his care. According to the docs, TJ claims he finally spoke with Katherine on July 24 -- and during the conversation, she "indicated to me that she supported me in taking steps that I deemed appropriate to protect [MJ's children]." TJ was eventually awarded temporary guardianship over Paris, Prince and Blanket. After the hearing, Katherine contradicted TJ's story ... insisting she was "devastated" by the court's decision. more on this story

While Cowell was supportive of Mariah joining his new show, The X Factor, it seems he's had a change of heart. Claiming she might be a little too polite for reality TV. "I think she's going to find it difficult to say 'no' [to contestants]," Cowell said while doing press for his show. "She's sweet." But what about the new judges on his X Factor?
Following the firing of judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Sherzinger, and host Steve Jones, the producers brought in Britney Spears and Demi Lovato to try and help the show find an audience in the crowded music-contest-reality-series field. Fox have released new publicity photos of the judges, while a new host has yet to be confirmed. See the photos here.
This year's event will take place at the Ryman Auditorium and will feature Phil Vassar and Thompson Square. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks. Christmas 4 Kids is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence for over 25 years providing many children, each year, with their very own shopping spree. The funds generated by the concert, and the Tour Bus Show/Artist Meet and Greet event, are used to give over 400 children from 29 different schools a day-long shopping excursion. The special day consists of a chauffeured trip from their school aboard an entertainer's luxury tour bus, lunch and a party hosted by Santa and Mrs. Claus. To wrap up the day, the tour buses journey to the Hendersonville, Tenn., Walmart, where the kids receive a brand new winter coat and $150.00 to spend on anything they want!
"It's not a new album, it's more like an afterthought," Del Rey tells Nova FM while in Australia for a series of concert dates. "It's 'The Paradise Edition' of 'Born to Die.' It's like seven new songs that kind of put a period on the statement I was making when I was making the record just a final thought on that it's beautiful." The 'Paradise Edition' of "Born to Die" is scheduled for a November release. As for new music, Lana says, "I've just been writing really slowly for the last seven months." more on this story

A lawyer in court yesterday made reference to "an incident" Tuesday night -- this is the incident. Sources involved in the situation tell TMZ ... people in the house were "alarmed and nervous" after hearing Katherine sounding heavily drugged. In addition to attempting to 86 the security team, Katherine ordered Trent Jackson off the property. You may recall, Jackson's security -- and Trent in particular -- thwarted Monday's attempt by Randy, Jermaine and Janet to take the kids to Arizona. Our sources say the prevailing view is that Randy and company have drugged their mom. We're also told Jackie Jackson is furious at his conspiratorial siblings for what they've done and what they are trying to do. We were unable to get Randy for comment. Katherine's lawyer, Perry Sanders, tells TMZ ... "I'm waiting on Katherine to get back in town and I'm looking forward to getting a hold of her to ascertain what's been going on." more on this story
Lane -- along with his star QB Matt Barkley -- was leaving Pac-12 Media Day at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal CityWalk yesterday when we asked how he felt about the Penn State punishment. Here's why Lane's opinion matters ... the SC football team was hit with a 2-YEAR postseason ban in 2010 ... after the NCAA uncovered violations surrounding illegal compensation to USC running back Reggie Bush. SC was also stripped of its 2004 national championship victory, vacated all wins from the 2005 season and lost several scholarships. The Penn State football program -- which covered up a CHILD RAPE SCANDAL FOR A DECADE -- was only banned from postseason play for 4 YEARS ... plus, a $60 million fine, scholarship reductions ... and of course, the Nittany Lions had to vacate 111 wins. So, did SC get the harsher punishment ... considering its crimes were FAR less horrific than PSU? "The situations are different," Kiffin said ... noting, "It's impossible to compare the penalties in the situations." more on this story
Sources connected to the production tell TMZ ... 63 year old Noble has "not been sleeping well" and it's taken a toll on the production of the show. We're told ... earlier this week, producers decided to halt production on the show for 2 weeks so John could get treatment for his condition. Production is currently scheduled to resume on August 7. more on this story
As we reported, DC Comics forbade the release of its new issue of "Batman Inc." because it "contains content that may be perceived as insensitive" in the wake of the "Dark Knight" shooting in Colorado. Now, we know exactly what that "insensitive" content is. In addition to the teacher pointing a gun at her classroom, the issue contains several other references to gun violence -- including one moment when a character says, "Eyewitness spoke of a grisly bullet-ridden cadaver." The issue has been blocked from release until August 22. more on this story
Lena filed the docs last week in L.A. County Superior Court against husband Peter Loughran, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple was married in May 2007.
