Murder At Rick Ross Home

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Ross was NOT home at the time of the shooting and at this point in the investigation, he's not considered a suspect.

We're told cops found the victim laying inside a gate at the home. Sources tell us ... investigators don't know if the victim has any connection to Ross, but since he is listed as the owner of the property, cops want to ask him a few questions about the situation.

Brawl at Young Jeezy Concert

Jeezy was on stage rapping at the BB King Blues Club on Sunday ... when security asked some of the fans to move back from the stage. Sources at the scene tell TMZ ... a bunch of rowdy fans resisted ... and started talkin' smack to the security personnel.

Tensions grew ... until someone in the crowd fired a drink at the stage ... and that's when the place went nuts. Suddenly, everyone started fighting and throwing things ... including a mic stand.

Jeezy went on the loudspeaker and tried to calm everyone down ... but the crowd refused to yield ... so Jeezy and his entourage decided to exit through the back before someone got hurt.

Eventually, the violence died down. It's unclear if anyone suffered any major injuries in the ruckus.

Sources close to Jeezy tell us the rapper was "very upset" with the venue ... because he felt they should have done a better job controlling the crowd.

We called the venue for comment -- but so far, radio silence. see the video here.

Steven Tyler Pokes Fun at Jennifer Lopez' Oscar Wardrobe Malfunction

In the meantime, fellow American Idol judge Steven Tyler had some fun with the whole thing on Tuesday's Idol show, the first live broadcast of the season.

When host Ryan Seacrest stopped by the judges table to chat, Tyler said, "I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar," before pulling back his shirt to expose his chest and asking, "Wait, wait� Who am I?"

Target Pull Insulting Whitney Houston Greeting Card

The card -- available long before Whitney died -- pokes fun at the singer's downward spiral in recent years ... "Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston."

The card was kinda funny before she died -- but now that Whitney's gone, Target has decided it's a tad too offensive ... at least for now ... and is currently in the process of yanking it from its stores.

A rep for the store tells TMZ, "The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston's death. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores." more on this story

The tour will rely solely on fan interaction and requests to determine the set list played in each city. Specific guidelines and instructions coming soon on www.sugarlandmusic.com.

The 25+ dates will feature openers Lauren Alaina and Canaan Smith (in select cities). "This year's tour is based around the concept of putting the show into the hands of the fans," said Nettles. "THEY will make the requests that will help form the set list and guide the show. Through texts, handwritten signs, the Internet (Twitter, Facebook, etc) phone calls made during the show and selections directly from the stage, the fans will become the conductors as well as the audience. Back in November, we asked Francis about the then-rumor that Madge titled one of her songs, "Girls Gone Wild" ... and Francis happily replied, "I'm excited about that!"

We asked if he was cool with the situation, legally ... to which he explained, "I'm REALLY cool with that actually ... I'm not going to sue you Madonna ... I love you, I love Madonna."

Fast forward to Tuesday night ... when Joe once again made it clear he wasn't going to back down from his new demand that Madge PAY HIM for using the name ... because he owns the rights to everything GGW-related, including Girl Gone Wild.

Sugar Sugar Singer Shocked at Davy Jones Death

66-year-old Ron Dante -- whose group released several hits around the same time as The Monkees -- tells us, he was great friends with Davy ... and even spoke to him a few months ago, when Davy appeared to be doing just fine.

Dante tells us, he and Davy had been in discussions to do a show together not too long ago ... and possibly even cut a few records -- but those plans never materialized.

Lane Garrison Vs Playmate Girlfriend Over Funeral Invite

As we first reported, Beverly Hills police went to Lane's house Monday night after someone in the apartment reported the incident. No one was arrested, but Lane was taken to the hosopital for an unrelated medical issue.

We've now learned ... Lane's girlfriend, Ashley Mattingly, was upset that Lane was invited to her ex-boyfriend's funeral earlier in the day but she was not. It is unclear why the family of Craig Rogers made Ashley persona non grata, but we're told it triggered a heated argument between Ashley and Lane.

Ashley -- who is up for Playmate of the Year -- felt Lane should not have gone to the funeral because it showed disrespect for her.

As for the hospital visit ... sources tell us when cops arrived, Lane had a panic attack, so he was taken to the emergency room and released shortly after.

As for why he had the panic attack, we're told Lane has been vigilant about keeping his nose clean after getting released from prison in a manslaughter case. He was driving under the influence when his car crashed and killed a 17-year-old high school student who was a passenger in the car.

We're told no one was injured during the argument. If cops would have seen any trace of injury, an arrest would have been made. more on this story

DeBarge Settles Michael Jackson Beef With Conrad Murray

TMZ broke the story ... James -- Janet Jackson's ex-husband -- held a serious grudge with Murray because he blamed the doc for killing his friend Michael Jackson.

But now we've learned ... the two managed to have a confrontation behind bars at the Men's Central Jail facility in L.A. in the past few days ... and "squashed the beef."

TMZ spoke with James' wife ... who says the singer was very impressed with Murray and that James "has made peace with what happened to Michael."

We're told James no longer believes Murray is an "evil" man or a murderer ... instead he told his wife Conrad is a "kind man." more on this story

Brooke Mueller's Alleged Assault Victim Speaks Out

TMZ broke the story ... Brooke's not looking at any jail time whatsoever after her Aspen arrest -- because the issue of confinement has not been part of plea bargain negotiations between her lawyer and the prosecutor.

But Llana Little -- the woman Mueller allegedly assaulted the night of her arrest -- is furious about the situation ... insisting, Brooke "should go to jail" for hitting her.

Little tells us, she was coming off the dance floor inside a nightclub on December 2nd -- and accidentally bumped into Brooke. Words were exchanged, and when she turned around, Little says Brooke punched her in the back.

Brooke then left that club and went to another one -- where police eventually dragged her back outside and arrested her for cocaine possession and 3rd degree assault.

The woman -- a key witness in the Aspen case -- adds, "She needs to learn her lesson that what she did was not okay." more on this story

Halle Berry Plans Legal War?

Here's the lowdown. Our sources tell us Halle wants to go after her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry with nuclear weapons -- metaphorically speaking -- and she thinks Hersh is too much of a gentleman to wage that kind of legal war, even though he has guided Halle through 2 divorces, a custody war and various other legal skirmishes.

So we've learned Halle has hired Stephen Kolodny, who is legendary in L.A. legal circles for the level of legal warfare she so wants.

Kolodny has already gone to court with Halle. We've learned last Thursday the new duo went to dependency court to have more restrictions placed on Aubry. The dependency judge has already ordered that Gabriel can only have contact with Nahla in the presence of a monitor. On Thursday, we're told the judge voiced additional concerns and ordered Gabriel to return the child to Halle earlier than the 6 PM deadline on days he has custody.

Kolodny will have his hands full trying to convince the family law judge that Halle should be able to move to France with the child because she's concerned about paparazzi and safety. more on this story
