Scotty McCreery To Sing This Season's American Idol Goodbye Song
American Idol have selected season 10 winner Scotty McCreery to perform the "goodbye" song for season 11 of the hit show. They sent over these details:

Scotty selected the Tim McGraw hit "Please Remember Me" as the "goodbye" song that will be played after a contestant is eliminated and video highlights of the contestant's experiences on Idol are shown. The song will debut on American Idol on Thursday.

"It's always a sad time whenever this song is played, but it's definitely a really big part of the show," Scotty says. "I never had to experience that feeling personally, but I always felt the pain because we became such a close family on the show. We were such a tight-knit group of people, so it was always sad to see people go. The send-off song was always a way to stay connected to the show. I'm glad they chose me to do it." more on this story

Alcatraz Producers Come To Stroke Victim's Rescue
(TMZ) Several producers behind the show "Alcatraz" rushed to help save a stroke victim's life yesterday in San Francisco -- but sources tell TMZ, the rescue effort wouldn't have been possible ... if not for a poorly parked car.

According to sources, the car was parked on a street where the crew needed to film -- so producers tried to locate the car's owner ... and traced it back to a house on the block.

When producers knocked on the door, we're told a young woman answered, and informed producers her mother had just suffered a stroke and she didn't know what to do.

According to sources, producers notified several on-set SF police officers -- who then rushed into the house, where the woman's mother was located. Soon after, an ambulance arrived and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No word yet on the woman's current condition. We're told production has since resumed on set. more on this story

Adam Lambert Russian Concert Con?
(TMZ) Adam Lambert would NEVER perform in Russia for less than $500,000 -- this according to a new lawsuit, in which a promotional company claims it was conned into thinking it could book him for a fraction of that price.

UK-based Madison Universal filed the lawsuit against a talent agency in Santa Monica named Family Productions -- claiming FP promised to broker a deal in which Adam would perform two concerts for $80,000 ... one in Ukraine and one in Russia.

Madison claims it paid FP a 10% deposit of $8,000 -- but FP didn't do squat to line-up the concerts ... so Madison tried to get its money back ... to no avail.

According to the complaint, Madison grew suspicious -- so it contacted Adam's agent Randy Salcedo at CAA -- who informed Madison that an $80,000 fee wouldn't cover a Lambert concert in Russia ... let alone an additional one in Ukraine.

According to the suit, the cost for flying Lambert out to Eastern Europe to perform is more accurately $500,000 ... or more.

Madison is suing FP for unspecified damages in excess of $25,000. Calls to FP were not returned. more on this story

We're told the snake has only been at the zoo for a week -- but once it gets settled in, zookeepers plan to give it a special sign indicating its Bieberific claim to fame. more on this story

Teen Mom Facing Five Years in Prison Over Drug Test
(TMZ) "Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood failed to take a required drug test ... and could face the 5-year prison sentence she narrowly dodged in January, TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Amber was sentenced to 5 years in prison after her December drug arrest -- but the judge promised to dismiss the entire case if she completes a drug program ... a stipulation that includes daily drug testing.

Amber's been doing great -- but on Monday, she torpedoed all her progress ... by failing to provide a urine sample during a routine drug test while she serves time on home detention.

Sources tell TMZ, Amber failed to provide a urine sample because she simply couldn't go at the time -- but life's not fair ... and no pee counts as a failed test ... no matter what.

Amber's due in court Thursday for a weekly check-up with the judge -- and she'll have to answer for the failed test. If he wants, the judge is within his power to throw the book at her ... locking her up for her original 5-year sentence. more on this story

Little Willie John, The Ad Libs, And Eddie Rabbitt Reissues This Spring
(Conqueroo) Real Gone Music will issue Little Willie John's Complete Hit Singles A's and B's, a definitive compilation of the influential R&B singer's King Records sides as well as King-Starday label mate Cowboy Copas' Complete Hit Singles A's & B's, featuring 30 of the country legends' sides from 1946-63, both slated for April 17, 2012 street date.

On May 1, doo-woppers the Ab Libs will be celebrated on The Complete Blue Cat Recordings. And two country hit-makers from the '70s and '70s, Mel McDaniel and Eddie Rabbit, will be reissued McDaniel with Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On His Original Capitol Hits, and Rabbitt with 13 Original #1 Hits. Finally, Real Gone continues its acclaimed Grateful Dead Dick's Picks reissues with Volume 30 and Volume 31.

Little Willie John was a genuine architect of soul. Along with Clyde McPhatter, Ray Charles and Sam Cooke, the visionary singer stood at the forefront of fusing gospel intensity to rhythm and blues tradition. And had he not died inside a Walla Walla prison at the age of 30, his name would likely be etched in the same soul pantheon as his peers. In his short career, Willie cut a string of seminal sides for Cincinnati-based King Records from 1955-61 that rank among the finest R&B ever waxed. As Motown legend Lamont Dozier says in Bill Dahl's notes to this collection, "Willie John was just an extraordinary talent. He knew how to touch you with a song, and he knew how to raise the hairs on the back of your neck." Real Gone Music will offer the most comprehensive collection of this overlooked soul superstar ever assembled: two CDs, 32 tracks that include every chart hit plus its accompanying, seldom-compiled B-side. And the B-sides are where some of the real fun is: joining such landmark R&B recordings as "Fever," "All Around the World," "Need Your Love So Bad" and "Home at Last" on this collection are such crackling tunes as "Spasms," "Let's Rock While the Rockin's Good" and "Do You Love Me" (recorded with Little Richard's band the Upsetters). more on this story

Remembering Adam Faith
(Gibson) On this day in 2003, Adam Faith, British teen idol and actor, died at the age of 62, the result of a heart attack. Gibson takes a look back: Faith had been staying at a hotel in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, where he was starring in the Regent Theatre's Love and Marriage. He was taken ill at the hotel after his Friday evening performance and suffered a heart attack. He was admitted to the hospital but failed to recover.

Adam Faith was just a stage name. He was born Terry Nelhams and grew up in Shepherd's Bush, West London, and worked in various lowly film and TV jobs when he left school. Inspired by the skiffle boom, he stared his on combo, The Worried Men, and booked the band as many gigs as he could find. Playing in Soho one night, Nelhams was seen by music TV legend Jack Good producer of the hit BBC pop music show 6-5 Special. Good helped him come up with a new name and had Faith on TV twice before EMI came calling and offered him a record deal. Two failed singles later, however, it was back to the day job.

Musician John Barry (who would go on to become a composer for the James Bond films) asked him to appear on a BBC pop music show, Drumbeat, and on the back of that he released another low-charting single. Finally, Barry brought Nelhams the song that would become his breakthrough and first #1 single "What Do You Want?"

Hits continued with tracks like "Poor Me," "Someone Else's Baby" and "Don't That Beat All," quickly establishing him as one of Britain's top three homegrown pop stars alongside Cliff Richard and Billy Fury. more on this story

As for the whole gun thing ... Anthony claimed Jennifer is a bad mom, and his arsenal of evidence includes a trip to the desert with her 11-year-old son where she let him shoot TV sets with a rifle.
