Day in Pop Report for 05/16/2012
Law enforcement officials confirm ... Stahl's wife filed a missing person's report with the L.A.P.D. on Monday ... saying she last saw the 32-year-old actor on May 9. Sources tell TMZ ... it is believed Stahl had been frequenting the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles recently ... and there are concerns he may have gotten himself involved in some bad stuff. Back in February, Nick's wife had filed court papers, expressing serious concerns that Nick may be using drugs ... and sources say she fears drugs may have something to do with his disappearance. Stahl's rep declined to comment on the situation. more on this story
TMZ has learned ... Edward Ray Fisher was booked for destruction of private property, disturbing the peace and assault. The details surrounding his arrest are unclear. According to his booking sheet, the 38-year-old rocker -- who lives in Denver -- is 5'8" and weighs 155 pounds. Fisher is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court this afternoon. FYI -- OneRepublic was nominated for a Grammy in 2009 for their smash hit, "Apologize." TMZ has his mug shot here.

Norah will appearing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (June 13) and The Today Show (June 15) before kicking off her 2012 North American tour on June 20 in Indianapolis. Jones also recently taped an episode of VH1 Storytellers that will air on June 8, as well as an episode of PBS Live From The Artists Den that will air late summer. Her performance of "Happy Pills" will also air this Friday, May 18 on The Rachael Ray Show. more on this story

The Mothership Returns marks this new lineup's recording debut and it is one major league blockbuster. Eagle Rock Entertainment will release The Mothership Returns as a mammoth three-disc set in an 8-panel digipak format housing two CDs, one DVD and a substantial booklet. The song is best known from being featured in Citibank's "rock-climber" commercial and is the title track from LP's debut EP for Warner Bros. Records, a CD + DVD package titled Into The Wild: Live At EastWest Studios, which was released on April 24th. The EP, which was produced by Cavallo and co-produced by Mike Elizondo and Julian Raymond, contains audio and video of LP performing five songs live at Hollywood's EastWest recording studio, which was transformed into an intimate club setting for the occasion.
Banks, the 20-year-old rapper/singer from Harlem, topped NME's Cool List and ranked in the Top 3 of the BBC Sounds of 2012 poll. Banks' video for "212 (featuring Lazy Jay)" already has more than 15 million views. You can check it out here.
The EP features the trio's new single - the Glyn and Ethan Johns co-production "The Motherlode" - a companion video for which can be viewed now at The Staves' official YouTube channel here. The man behind the promise is Glenn Guist -- Mitchell's bearded brother and best friend -- who is often featured hunting critters with Mitchell on "Swamp People." Glenn's manager tells TMZ ... he's pretty broken up about the sudden unexpected death of his brother ... but he's doing better then they all expected, considering how close they were. We're told Glenn knew how passionate Mitchell was about the houseboat project ... and believes completing the project will be the best way to honor his brother's memory. As we previously reported, Mitchell passed away Monday after apparently suffering a seizure while on the bayou in Louisiana. A funeral service is set for this week at a local church -- and Glenn's rep say he will begin work on the boat "after everything is taken care of with Mitchell." more on this story
After the Kris Humphries debacle, Kim had said she would never put her relationships on screen again ... but then gave an interview saying Kanye would be a part of her show. But according to our sources, Kanye's personal interactions with Kim will not be aired. We're told if Kanye happens to be at an event with Kim ... and the cameras are rolling ... then so be it. Suge has been on a media blitz recently ... telling multiple radio stations 2pac ended his professional relationship with a famous hip hop star because Suge believed the rapper was a gay man. But sources close to the Tupac estate tell TMZ .... the Shakur family feels very strongly that Suge's claims are "totally false" ... and point to his friendship with the famous designer Gianni Versace, who was an openly gay man. In fact, Tupac reportedly participated in a Versace fashion show in Italy back in 1996 ... and even rocked a Versace suit on the catwalk. more on this story
The "Hunger Games" star was out in Beverly Hills ... sans nose bandages ... when we asked about the mystery surrounding his messed up honker. In case you haven't been following ... earlier this month, Josh said he underwent surgery for a "broken nose" -- but he wouldn't explain how it happened. Leroy -- real name Taimak -- tells TMZ, he met Maia during a recent training session in New York ... and they immediately hit it off. According to Taimak -- an accomplished martial artist in his own right -- Maia approached him in the gym, claiming he was a big "Last Dragon" fan (who isn't?) and the two kept in touch. Now, Taimak says he and Maia have started to train together -- prepping Maia for his upcoming UFC 148 bout against Korean badass Kim Dong-Hyun, who's lost only ONE fight in his pro career. But according to docs filed today, Nadya didn't file all the necessary paperwork in time -- and never asked the court for an extension -- so her bankruptcy case was dismissed. The estate sits on 2.87 acres -- for Bev Hills, that's huge. It basically covers an entire block. Our sources say Ryan is paying within a couple of million dollars of the asking price.
