Lindsay Lohan Facing Jail Time For Lying To Police Charge

We broke the story ... Lohan told cops she was NOT behind the wheel of her Porsche when it slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler. Fact is she was -- according to multiple witnesses.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... the case will be filed as a misdemeanor by the Santa Monica City Attorney ... possibly this week.

The charge could spell huge trouble for Lindsay, because she's currently on probation for the jewelry heist. The criminal filing could trigger a probation violation, and Judge Stephanie Sautner -- the jewelry judge -- could send her to the slammer for a long, long time.

And law enforcement sources tell us ... cops found prescription pills in her purse after the crash. Witnesses tell us pills were also scattered in her trunk. Our sources say authorities were prepared to charge LiLo with drug crimes, but Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Holley, gave cops documentations from Lindsay's doctor, saying the pills were properly prescribed. Authorities then backed off that charge.

As for the charge of lying to cops, Lindsay almost dodged that bullet. You may recall, after the accident, Lindsay went to the hospital where she was interviewed by cops, and that's when she told them she wasn't behind the wheel. Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, made a mad dash for the hospital to muzzle her client, but she was a few minutes too late. more on this story

The jury ordered Lil Wayne to pay Quincy $2,195,000. Quincy's countersuit alleged Lil Wayne wrongfully jock blocked the release of the film, messing up its profit potential.

We broke the story ... Lil Wayne never showed up in court for his trial. The day he was supposed to testify he was a no-show because he had suffered several seizure-like episodes and was prohibited from flying. As a result, his lawyer was left to show the jury Wayne's deposition, in which he refuses to answer questions and mocks the proceeding. more on this story

America's Got Talent Want Shannen Doherty Or LeAnn Rimes?

According to our sources, producers have their eyes on Shannen Doherty, Carly Simon and Leann Rimes. We're told the show is looking for a strong and opinionated woman -- and they're thinkin' any one of them would fit the bill.

The judge's spot became available over the summer after Sharon Osbourne decided to quit the show after she claimed NBC dropped her son Jack from a reality show due to his MS diagnosis.

It's possible the producers could have other seats to fill -- we're told Howard Stern and Howie Mandel are not under contract for next season ... so it's conceivable the show could have an all-new judge's table.

As for Doherty, Simon and Rimes, we're told no offers have been made ... yet.

NBC spokesperson Sharon Pannozzo claims no such list of prospective judges exists -- but our sources, and they're good, say it does. more on this story

Christina Aguilera Premieres New Song Blank Page

Lady Gaga Shares Demo Song In Tribute To Hurricane Victims

Brintey Spears To Become A Novelist?

Following reports that the "Oops...I Did It Again!" singer was in the works on a reality-based novel, Hollyscoop did some digging and it turns out this project currently has forward momentum.

While the book is very much in its infancy, her rep tells us that it is very much a possibility. "To my knowledge there are discussions but nothing confirmed," the rep said.

Britney's book would apparently play out like a tell-all of her life, and incorporate fictionalized versions of certain experiences. The format is similar to that used by Lauren Conrad of "The Hills" in her 2009 bestseller L.A. Candy. more on this story

Ludacris To Premiere Video at MTV Event

MTV also announced today that Ludacris will make a special appearance during the main show, and that reality star Kim Kardashian, Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, Brett Davern of MTV's popular scripted show "Awkward", the cast of "Geordie Shore" (MTV UK's #1 show of all time), and supermodels Anne V and Isabeli Fontana are all confirmed to present.

Hosted by international presenters Tim Kash, Louise Roe and Sway, the "2012 MTV EMA Red Carpet Show" will premiere Sunday, 11th November at 8PM CET* more on this story

Miley Cyrus Wants Permanent Protection From Scissor-Wielding Intruder

Miley filed the request for a restraining order on October 30th against Jason Luis Rivera, who was arrested on Miley's property for trespassing and resisting arrest. The order was signed by the court the same day.

Rivera was sentenced to a year-and-a-half in jail last month, but Miley is still seeking a permanent stay away order in case he gets out early.

According to the temporary order, Rivera must stay at least 1,000 yards away from Miley at all times ... that's nearly a mile.

A hearing has been scheduled for later this month to decide whether to make the temporary order permanent. more on this story

Avatar Star Arrested After Being Subdued With Pepper Spray

Cops say the "Avatar" star was at Vortex, a restaurant in Atlanta, when he was refused entrance because people at the door felt he was too intoxicated ... this after he got into an argument because he didn't have the ID required to get inside the club.

According to the police report, a witness told cops Worthington became disorderly. He allegedly pushed the doorman twice and the doorman responded by pepper spraying him and putting him in cuffs until the cops arrived.

We're told the entire incident is on surveillance video.

Worthington was charged with disorderly conduct -- fighting.

Kardashians Face Another Khroma Challenge

As we previously reported ... Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are about to launch a new makeup line which they're calling Khroma (they love the "K" thing).

Problem is ... they've already received legal threats from a Bev Hills makeup company called Chroma over alleged name-stealing ... and now ANOTHER company has entered the mix.

The new company is called Kroma (no "H") ... and according to documents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, it already locked down the legal rights to that name back in January.

So when Kroma (no H") found out about the Kardashian line ... sources say the honchos were angry ... and immediately fired off a cease and desist letter to stop Khroma (with "H").

We've obtained official docs which show the U.S. Patent and Trademark office had already REJECTED a trademark request by the Khroma people (with "H") back in September ... because the name was too similar too Kroma (no "H").

We're told Kroma (no "h") recently met with Kardashian reps regarding the trademark -- but were unable to come to an agreement -- so Kroma is now exploring its legal options. more on this story

Octomom Permitted To Cyber Fight While In Rehab

As we previously reported, Octo is making serious money as a featured arguer on a debate website called Deeyoon.com -- where people (like Michael Lohan) often go to war with Nadya over explosive issues like child care.

So when Nadya decided to check herself into rehab for a Xanax addiction this weekend, she made it clear to the center that she couldn't go 30 days without a paycheck ... and got permission to work from the facility.

In fact, we're told the center has agreed to design Nadya's treatment schedule around her work schedule ... which consists of several 90 minute video chat sessions from a computer at the facility.

Sources tell us ... the facility will monitor all of Nadya's chats ... just to make sure she's staying on track and doing anything stupid ... like asking people for Xanax. more on this story

Paulina Rubio Wants Judge To Order Her Estranged Husband To Work

Paulina's husband Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera filed for divorce earlier this year and requested alimony -- but Rubio now says that's not true, claiming Nick is "perfectly capable of self-support" and should be forced to find a job to pay his own bills.

Paulina -- who was just sued this week for allegedly beating her assistant -- insists there's no excuse for Nicolas' laziness, claiming he is "a young, bi-lingual, highly intelligent and educated man, with degrees in business, and is physically active and healthy."

She adds, "He has had his own businesses in the past; however, he has not sought gainful employment since he began living with his wife."

Paulina wants a judge to order Nicolas to find a job, as well as pay Paulina's attorneys' fees. more on this story

Mario Lopez Was Reading Khloe's Lines on X Factor

Sources connected with the show tell us Khloe got "really upset" because Mario took her lines several times, reading his lines and then reading some of hers ... and messing up her timing in the process.

Khloe forced the issue with producers after Thursday's show, wondering aloud if he was doing it on purpose. After a short discussion, it became clear to Khloe that Mario was on the up and up -- there were glitches in the production that confused everyone and things got a little out of control during the live broadcast.

Now here's what's really interesting. Khloe has heard what we've been saying -- that producers were insane to make her read a teleprompter, because it robs her of her personality. Fact is ... it's hard for a novice to read a prompter.

Shaq -- who is reportedly worth around $250 million -- currently lives in an 11-bedroom, 13-bath PALACE outside Orlando, FL ... which includes a 20,000-square-foot basketball court and garage filled with dozens of sports cars.

In July the former NBA superstar laid down $235k on a very normal 3,900-square-foot abode ... in a place called Mount Dora, FL.

Plaxico Burress Beats 125 MPH Speeding Ticket

Plaxico was cited for going 125 MPH in Broward County, FL -- 70 miles over the speed limit in his 2012 Ferrari.

So how, you ask, does someone beat the rap? You hire Bradford Cohen, who showed the judge the ticket, which cited the wrong law. The cop amended his copy of the ticket after the fact, but it didn't match up with Plaxico's copy.

Call it a technicality, but it did the trick. Plaxico is now free to do anything but take a gun into a nightclub. more on this story

Kelsey Grammer Dropped From Ponzi Scheme Case

According to new legal docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the "Cheers" actor has been dropped from a $100 million lawsuit -- in which he was accused of receiving dirty money in connection with a website called Staropoly.com.

The lawsuit against Kelsey was filed by TV actress Lydia Cornell, who claimed the website -- billed as a new social network -- was nothing more than a Ponzi scheme that bilked her out of tons of money ... and Kelsey was somehow involved.

Kelsey fired back, claiming he has no place in Lydia's lawsuit -- and lost tons of money on the website himself -- and the judge in the case has agreed ... dismissing Kelsey from Lydia's lawsuit.

Brian Williams and Richard Lewis -- who Lydia sued as well -- were also let off the hook. more on this story

Terry Bradshaw Chicken Comment Explained

We just spoke to FOX NFL analysts Johnson and Bradshaw ... who said he was unaware there was any controversy until friends started calling him this morning.

Bradshaw explained it's a Sunday tradition for JJ to order a bucket of KFC after they wrap the pregame show -- and yesterday was no exception. Bradshaw says Johnson "won't share it with anybody" ... and everyone on set rips him for it.

Johnson backed up the bucket tale ... telling us, "Every Sunday I get 4 pieces of fried chicken, dark meat, and I eat it right there on the set."

Bradshaw tells us yesterday's chicken comment was an innocent shot at one of his co-stars ... something he commonly does during highlights.

TB says, "I'm having a hard time with this ... because that's not me. I never put those two things together because I don't think like that."

But Bradshaw adds, "I understand why people are upset because they don't know the inside story."

For his part, Johnson is sure there was no racist intent -- and tells us, "I love fried chicken. A lot of people love fried chicken, so what's the big deal?" more on this story

Bristol Palin Wins Case Against Heckler

As TMZ previously reported, Stephen Hanks filed a lawsuit against Palin and A&E (parent company of Lifetime) following his encounter with Palin in a Hollywood bar that aired as part of her show, "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp."

During the confrontation, Hanks called Bristol's mom Sarah "evil" and a "whore" and Bristol said the man was gay ... saying she could "tell" by the way he looked. more on this story
