There's a report Ariel is seeking legal emancipation from her mom so she can be with her boyfriend, but that report is false. Court sources tell us ... on October 3rd, after a guardianship hearing, a judge determined the allegations that Ariel was being physically and emotionally abused by her mother Crystal Workman were serious enough that the judge placed Ariel in a temporary guardianship with her older sister Shanelle Workman. Our sources tell us ... mama Crystal was ordered to stay 100 yards away from Ariel. Ironically, we've learned Shanelle suffered the same alleged abuse as Ariel. Nearly two decades ago, the Department of Children and Family Services removed her from Crystal's home based on similar abuse allegations. Law enforcement sources tell us ... D.C.F.S. placed Shanelle in foster care for more than 2 years. She never went back to her mother. According to court records, the judge has set another hearing for November 20. more on this story

The album was recorded at the famed Monnow Valley Studio in Rockfield, South Wales with producer Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, David Byrne, Grace Jones). Commenting on the new album, singer Scott Hutchison says "The title is taken from a lyric in 'State Hospital.' I felt it was a nicely faceted title, with enough layered meaning to remain open to interpretation. Above all though, it was a gauntlet I threw down for myself. If you call your album 'Pedestrian Verse,' you can't settle for any old lyric. It forced me to better myself. In fact, I think we all stepped up on this album and I believe that our producer Leo Abrahams had a major role in that step. He threw our music into areas we had not previously imagined. More than any other record we've done this has been a genuine journey of discovery into new ways of working in order to develop and fully realize each of the songs. As a result, I think 'Pedestrian Verse' the strongest and most interesting record we've made to date." more on this story
J.Lo is angry over a story that originated in a German tabloid ... in which the maid says she tried to approach the singer's assistants while they were staying at a fancy German hotel last month and asked for Jennifer's signature. We're told the maid had "barged" into the room unannounced ... and the singer's security immediately removed the maid from the room out of concern for the singer's safety. We're told hotel management has since assured Lopez's people that no one was fired -- but the maid company the hotel uses has relocated the maid in question to a different property. A rep for J.Lo tells TMZ ... "Jennifer always goes out of her way to meet and greet fans as evidenced by her recent tweet 2 meet engagements backstage, as well as stopping to sign autographs and say hello to hotel staff." more on this story
