The Westampton Township Police Department in New Jersey confirms ... Doherty -- who lives in L.A. -- contacted officers late Sunday night and told police she had been receiving several disturbing tweets from a fan who threatened to kill herself unless she got a phone call from the actress. Sources close to Shannen tell TMZ ... the actress had reason to believe the fan was in possession of a gun. Once police arrived, the officers met with family members who said the person of interest was a 27-year-old woman who was at home in her room. Cops spoke with the woman ... who insisted she did not wish to harm herself. Cops also say they found nothing that would lead them to believe she was a danger to herself. The woman was offered medical attention -- which she declined -- and cops left the scene after determining she was safe in the care of her family. Shannen later posted a message on Twitter, "Thank you to the Westampton police department for being diligent and so reassuring." more on this story
"I'm not trying to sound like anyone. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment. If you were to say, 'I definitely heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound' I would take that as a compliment, but saying that you thought it was Justin Timberlake" he said. So, then it comes as a complete surprise when the Biebs decided to cover Timberlake's "Cry Me A River" over the weekend. Check it out here.

MSO sent over word that the trio will wrap their final One Last Tour at both weekends of the 15th annual Ultra Music Festival, set for March 15, 16 and 17 and March 22, 23 and 24, 2013 at Bayfront Park in Miami, FL. They will bookend the festival with sets on the opening and closing nights on Friday, March 15 and Sunday, March 24, respectively. This marks a significant milestone in their incredible career together as Ultra Music Festival was where Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso made their Swedish House Mafia North American debut in March 2010. ''Ultra was the first place we really built a show for a main stage," says Swedish House Mafia. "We filmed the whole thing and we played 'ONE' for the first time on that stage. It was a moment we would never forget and became the closing scene in our film, 'Take One.' The energy of the crowd was unbelievable and the fact that it's part of Miami Music Week where so much new music is born made it even more special. It just felt right that we finished where so much was started and we're honored to open and close the festival.'' More info about the festival here.
The core of Overmountain Men is Bob Crawford, bass player for The Avett Brothers on bass and vocals; the Charlotte-based singer/songwriter, David Childers on guitar and vocals; guitarist Randy Saxon, who also contributes banjo and mandolin; and drummer/percussionist Robert Childers. The players include a plethora of great players from the Carolinas, including Scott Daley on piano; Geoffrey White on fiddle; Joe Kwon on cello; Charlie Lowry on vocals; Wiley Buck on vocals and banjo; and Andy The Doorbum on vocals. The new CD features twelve original songs. Most of the songs were written by the core group. Additional songwriters include Curtis Collins, Eric Anderson, and Bill Noonan. Once again, listeners will find great eclectic songwriting with tunes rooted in American history ("Alexander Hamilton"), exploring relationships ("All Out Of Diamonds") or just having fun ("Death Is So Romantic"), all driven by David Childers soothing baritone over a rootsy back-drop of instrumentation. more on this story
Producer Dave Sitek, from the band TV On The Radio, has previously worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Jane's Addiction, to mention just a few. Since the split of Oasis the Gallagher brothers have been busy with their respective bands, Liam with Beady Eye and Noel with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Recently former Oasis bassist Andy Bell spoke to Drowned In Sound about his thoughts on a possible Oasis reunion sometime in the future: "I'd love it to happen. I think that life's too short for it not to happen. But, in reality, do I see it happening? At this point, no I don't. The matter rests entirely with the two brothers. It probably should happen at some point but if they can't make it happen, no one should force them to." more on this story
"I wouldn't feel right making any money off of tonight's show," Underwood said from the stage at Boardwalk Hall, as reported by the Press of Atlantic City. The question ... was Adrienne Maloof lying when she told Children Services Paul abused the kid? TMZ obtained the report, filed by two carnival workers moments after Christian injured himself on November 11. According to the report, the carnival workers ... Christian "jumped off steps of ride exiting, fell on his hands." And that's how he was injured. The report adds, "[Christian] wiped his hands off and didn't seem very concerned." According to the report, the injuries to Christian's hands were nothing but a "slight scrape." The account flies in the face of the story Adrienne told to the L.A. Dept. of Children and Family Services -- that the child was injured when Paul kicked him. Adrienne was concerned Christian suffered broken fingers -- but the report says he was so unfazed, "he continued to ride other rides." DCFS is currently investigating. more on this story
Wesley Jonathan -- who played Amanda's BFF on the show -- was out in L.A. yesterday when we asked if he had anything to say to his old TV buddy, and he replied, "The only thing I would say to her is 'You got enough money. Get a chauffeur to take you everywhere.'" And just like Jennie Garth -- who was also on the show -- Jonathan says he's tried to reach out Amanda to see how she's doing ... and all he's gotten was radio silence. But despite her silence, Jonathan's got nothing but love for Amanda, saying, "Everybody makes mistakes. We're all human." more on this story
Before the court heard Chrystal Workman's side, the judge heard exactly what we reported this morning ... that Ariel's mom, Chrystal was "a terror on the set of 'Modern Family' and that the producer and others there have expressed grave concern ..." this according to the lawyer for Ariel's sister. The transcript chronicles the court hearing last month, at which the judge removed Ariel from the care of her mother and created a temporary guardianship. According to the lawyer for Shanelle Workman, "The child [Ariel] is, apparently, struck repeatedly, slapped, hit, pushed, not so as to leave marks. Mother is smart enough not to do that." But Chrystal fired back, "She is an actress so I'm sure she can cry at the drop of a hat." In other words, Chrystal was warning the judge that her daughter was making up her story. The lawyer for Shanelle also claimed Chrystal "sexualizes the child," and showed the judge a pic of Ariel "dressed up to show off her breasts and otherwise." The lawyer also mentions what we said this morning ... that people on the set of "Modern Family" were "having to sneak this child food because the mother deprives the child of food." Shanelle, who was in court, told the judge her mom physically abused her 20 years ago. But Chrystal said the allegation was false, and what really went down was that Shanelle ran off with a gang member wannabe and they found her at a crack house -- i.e., she has no credibility. more on this story
Usher bought the 12,544 square-foot pad in 2007 -- while still married to Tameka -- for $3 million. He officially listed the digs last week. TMZ broke the story ... Usher's ex has continued to live in the house as part of their 2009 divorce agreement -- but in September, Usher made it clear he was planning to sell ... and Tameka would be kicked to the curb. As for the house, it's pretty huge ... 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, 10-foot ceilings, massive pool, in-home gym, 4 fireplaces, a library, and a NASA launch pad. Kidding ... NASA doesn't have funding for this place. Sources close to Tameka tell TMZ ... she is completely unfazed -- adding, she runs her own small business and doesn't need any handouts. more on this story
