According to an updated statement (an early statement did not contain the drug charge), a Deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the car. "Christopher Breaux, aka Frank Ocean, age 25, of Beverly Hills, CA, had a small bag of marijuana on his person," the statement said. "Mr. Breaux was cited for possession of marijuana and released." According to gossip site Mediatakeout, Frank Ocean and a male companion were detained by police after authorities noticed "suspicious behavior." While many sites insinuated the "suspicious behavior" included sexual acts, the California Highway Patrol issued a statement to CBS Local that explains a traffic stop for speeding. "On 12/31/2012 at approximately 1630 hours, Officer E. Moore, #20190, was in full CHP winter uniform, and driving a black and white departmental sedan (Class E)," the statement read. "Officer Moore was stopped facing northbound in the center median of US-395, north of Tom's Place monitoring traffic. Officer Moore observed a black BMW driving southbound on US-395 exceeding the 65 MPH maximum speed limit. Officer Moore accelerated his patrol vehicle in order to follow the BMW, and then observed a marked patrol unit from the Mono County Sheriff's Department making an enforcement stop on the BMW. After the Mono County Sheriff's Department unit stopped the BMW, Officer Moore stopped to provide any necessary assistance." more on this story

He will now have to pay an extra 180K for the interest the money would have accumulated since the laptop has been returned, according to reports. In 2010, singer/songwriter Ryan Leslie posted a $20,000 reward for his lost laptop that was left behind on a trip to Germany. When he found no takers, he later increased the bounty to $1 million. Leslie particularly was interested in recovering several unreleased tracks he was sure would be turned into hits, which he says were not returned or accessible when the computer was returned. more on this story

The American Idol alum tweeted his critique of the film, which had the actors sing live instead of lip synching on camera, explaining the score suffered because the actors are just "pretending to be singers." He believes they should have used some studio magic to make everyone sound as good as they possibly could. It turns out Russell Crowe, who stars at Javert in the movie, doesn't totally disagree with Adam's assessment that the vocals could have been sweetened. The actor, who was the frontman of 30 Odd Foot of Grunts until 2005 and now sings with his band The Ordinary Fear of God, said that the film's director, Tom Hooper, wanted it "raw and real, that's how it is." But Adam had more to say on the matter.

"The song 'Troublemaker' isn't really what I'm like," he told CBS Local. "The song is about what a girl is like in my life. I could probably be a bit of a troublemaker when I want to be. I'm a bit cheeky. I've never really gotten into too much trouble with the police or anything so I'm quite a good boy." The self-proclaimed "good boy" reveals that the song is about wanting to be with someone who is always playing games. For Nick, the song hits close to home.
One of the more somber records on the album, "Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst," rips a dramatic moment from Kendrick's real life.
