Real Reason Frank Ocean Was Detained By Police
(CBS Local) The latest rumor that Frank Ocean was pulled over by Mammoth Lake, California officers for suspicious behavior was tinged with a sexual bent. CBS Local has learned that his detainment was a result of a routine traffic stop and a bag of Marijuana.

According to an updated statement (an early statement did not contain the drug charge), a Deputy detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside the car. "Christopher Breaux, aka Frank Ocean, age 25, of Beverly Hills, CA, had a small bag of marijuana on his person," the statement said. "Mr. Breaux was cited for possession of marijuana and released."

According to gossip site Mediatakeout, Frank Ocean and a male companion were detained by police after authorities noticed "suspicious behavior." While many sites insinuated the "suspicious behavior" included sexual acts, the California Highway Patrol issued a statement to CBS Local that explains a traffic stop for speeding.

"On 12/31/2012 at approximately 1630 hours, Officer E. Moore, #20190, was in full CHP winter uniform, and driving a black and white departmental sedan (Class E)," the statement read. "Officer Moore was stopped facing northbound in the center median of US-395, north of Tom's Place monitoring traffic. Officer Moore observed a black BMW driving southbound on US-395 exceeding the 65 MPH maximum speed limit. Officer Moore accelerated his patrol vehicle in order to follow the BMW, and then observed a marked patrol unit from the Mono County Sheriff's Department making an enforcement stop on the BMW. After the Mono County Sheriff's Department unit stopped the BMW, Officer Moore stopped to provide any necessary assistance." more on this story

Gangnam Style Makes Jeff Dunham Long For Vanilla Ice
(CBS Local) Just because PSY decided to retire "Gangnam Style" during his New Year's Eve performance doesn't mean the world will stop talking about it. After becoming the first video to reach over 1 billion views on YouTube, comedian Jeff Dunham and his friend Walter had a lot to say about the song.

"Oh, that is fantastic. I had no idea that the dictator from North Korea was that talented. Kim Jong Eun, who knew? Kim Jong- Il would be proud," Walter said before Jeff informed him that it's not the same guy. "Oh, well whatever. It looks similar."

So what does Walter really think about the dancing? "I just think it's sad when you see something like that and you actually long for Vanilla Ice," he remarked. He didn't hold anything back.

Fantasia Barrino Says Comments Were Taken Out Of Context
(CBS Local) What was presumably an inspirational message to Fantasia Barrino's Instagram followers turned out to offend the sensibilities of gay marriage proponents. On December 31, Fantasia sent a picture of herself in a meditative pose, with the following message:

"I Rise ABOVE IT ALL!!! THE WORLD IS GONE MAD. KIDS, THE GOVERNMENT THE church House Everybody Trying!!!!!!! Its a lot that going on that the Bible speaks about we should Not be doing. Weed legal in some places, Gay Marriage Legal BUT YET IM JUDGED!!! I'm not doing Nothing for you My Life!!!!"

After some pushback from the social media circles, Fantasia's reps attempted to mute the criticism with a statement. "Comments made by Ms. Barrino through her Intragram account were recently taken far out of context, and the purpose of this release is to set the record straight. Ms. Barrino is not now, nor has she ever been an opponent of the LGBT community. She has supported and performed at numerous events that are sponsored by the LGBT community. Whether it's through a live performance or placement on social media, Ms. Barrino uses every opportunity to reach out and connect with her fans, all of her fans."

When that statement did not cool the heat she received, Fantasia released another statement Read that here.

Russell Crowe Comments On Les Miserables Singing Controversy
(CBS Local) When Adam Lambert saw Les Miserables in theaters over the holiday he had a lot to say about it.

The American Idol alum tweeted his critique of the film, which had the actors sing live instead of lip synching on camera, explaining the score suffered because the actors are just "pretending to be singers."

He believes they should have used some studio magic to make everyone sound as good as they possibly could.

It turns out Russell Crowe, who stars at Javert in the movie, doesn't totally disagree with Adam's assessment that the vocals could have been sweetened.

The actor, who was the frontman of 30 Odd Foot of Grunts until 2005 and now sings with his band The Ordinary Fear of God, said that the film's director, Tom Hooper, wanted it "raw and real, that's how it is." But Adam had more to say on the matter.
