"She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," says an unnamed source, who adds that the diva's glam squad will join her in the shuttle. The gift in question is a limited-edition Shawn Carter Classic Fusion watch by Swedish watchmaker Hublot and co-designed by Jay Z that the five-time MLB All-Star received for his 31st birthday at a party in Belgium on Oct. 22. Cano showed off the extravagant timepiece that retails for $33,900 on his Instagram account. According to Page Six, Cano and Jay Z partied at Belgium nightclub Magic where "they plowed through dozens of bottles of Ace of Spades Champagne," referencing the boutique wine brand that the rapper has been pivotal in making popular with his very public support, where Cano received the watch. The trouble arises in that such a gift is in direct conflict with Section 5(B)(5)(a) of the Players Association regulations, which states in no uncertain terms: "No Player Agent or Applicant shall provide, cause to be provided or promise to provide, any money or any other thing of value to any player, or any person related to or associated with such player, the purpose of which is to induce or encourage such player to use or continue to use any person's or firm's services as a Player Agent, Representative, or Draft Advisor." According to Players Association officials, the gifting rules are in place to prevent athletes from choosing representation based on "improper inducements." more on this story
Yes, Miley, who recently teamed up with Future for his track "Real and Honest," shows off her mic skills to talk about poppin' molly and getting on the floor to twerk. With a refrain of "The mirror be like baby you the s***" it's clear," Will is feeling pretty damn good about himself. The bragging just continues from there on the club ready track where Will talks about how his profile has elevated over the years. He even nods to Drake with the line, "I came from the bottom, the suicide/ I made it to the top doing fly." The track is featured on the re-release of will.i.am's album, #willpower, out December 9. This is the second track Miley and will.i.am have recorded together, after "Fall Down," also off #willpower. Listen to it here.
The beleaguered tour featuring Kendrick Lamar hit a wall after two successful L.A. shows, when West's elaborate stage set-up was damaged in a truck accident. The crash caused West to postpone a string of Yeezus tour dates in cities like Denver and Minneapolis, along with a pair of shows in his hometown of Chicago. Yesterday (Nov. 6), concert promoter AEG Live announced that West's tour will now resume on Saturday, November 16 in Philadelphia, PA. The Chicago shows, as well as dates in Toronto and Detroit, have also been rescheduled for later in the year. Now for the bad news: previously scheduled shows in Denver, Columbus, Montreal, Minneapolis, St. Louis and Vancouver, which weathered two postponements, have all been effectively canceled. Check out the new itinerary for Kanye here.
Sampling Black Moon's 1993-cut "I Got Cha Opin," the MMPL2 B-side, "Don't Front," has the rapper bragging like it's 1996: "I'm in a zone/ In a whole different leagueNo opponents can compete/ Never been known to retreat from beef, be beat, follow trends or wallow in defeat. While Eminem talks about his past foe Moby, signing with Dr. Dre and the legacy he's set for himself, Buckshot adds his own two cents, letting his pal know, "You know I got cha opin, kid/Don't front." The song is available as a exclusive bonus track for those who purchased The Marshall Mathers LP 2/Call of Duty: Ghosts bundle pack. Earlier this year, Em previewed his track "Survival" in a commercial for the video game and announced the release of his latest album in a press conference held by the game series. The clip combines black and white shots of Hayley Williams and the guys playing Wembley Stadium with the story of two girls who pack their bags and head to London to see Paramore in concert. Blink and you'll miss shots of Paramore hanging out backstage, banging drums and warming up for their show later that night. But this video isn't really about the band, no, it's about these two ladies who make it all way to the show and manage to catch a glimpse of their favorite frontwoman, who gives them a friendly wave before they nearly get escorted from the premises. In an interview with Radio.com, Williams said she was looking forward to hitting the road once again and changing things up for all their die-hard fans. "We're trying to make it feel like an adventure, like a journey," she explained. "A roller coaster ride." Watch the video and read more.
"It's one of the coolest sad songs I've ever heard," Bryan told Radio.com about the song. "Drink a Beer" is a song about losing someone close. The lyrics focus on a character who, stunned by a loss that is both surprising and very fresh, chooses to honor that person by sitting "on the edge of this pier" and having a beeran experience they would normally be sharing. It's a song that hits you, yes, but it does so quietly and with care. "I just thought it was an amazingly written song," Bryan said. The subject "was something that everybody can connect with, because so many people out there have lost somebody. And their connection with them was, they used to have a beer in a bar with them, or have a beer anywhere with them. Drinking a beer with a friend is a huge connection, and that song [brings] all those emotions together." more on this story
His debut instead ended up spawning a little international hit called "You're Beautiful." Perhaps you've heard it? Speaking with Blunt todaynearly ten years after the release of that songhe'll openly talk about the sad sack balladeer reputation he earned because of "You're Beautiful," admitting that his most well-known song isn't even the best track off that album. That honor goes to "Goodbye My Lover," the second single off Back to Bedlam that helped amusingly soundtrack one of Michael Scott's break-ups on The Office. Well, the 30-second snippet that Amazon allows you to hear if you're too cheap to actually purchase the song, which, no surprise, Scott was. "I think I knew that 'You're Beautiful' was a radio friendly song," Blunt admitted to Radio.com. "It's not my most favorite song on the album, and it's not the most deeply meaningful on the album." It's just a song he wrote after catching the eye of a woman he didn't know, but imagined her as an ex-girlfriend with a new man. "I did know 'You're Beautiful' would work on radio," Blunt reiterated. "But I didn't have an idea of what it would do. I don't think I was ever supposed to. I was an independent artist. I'm a singer/songwriter, I'm not a pop starso all of a sudden the music being called pop was a big transition." The transition was a learning experience for the singer, who admits some missteps along the way. "My first album Back to Bedlam was a very innocent album, without the concern of a music industry, without the concerns of an audience and that was its charm, maybe," Blunt explained. "And then I went on these world tours. I took my touring band into record my second album and they brought kind of great depth and musicality to it and the third album I wrote for an audience and wrote for arena shows. It was the kind of frontman of a band playing the electric guitar that I always wanted to be when I first started doing music. And those were all great fun." But as Blunt explained, fun doesn't always equal good music or in this case, fulfilling music. "I don't know how personally rewarding they were," he said about his last two albums. "In a way perhaps more shallow. And [Moon Landing] wasn't as much fun in a way, to strip things way, and lay yourself bare. It's an amazing kind of moment to find honesty and innocence again." Nearly a decade after the release of his debut, Blunt is working once again with Rothrock and after years of trying to write another hit song, Blunt is only worried about making music he likes. "['You're Beautiful'] took me on an amazing journey, three world tours, and fantastic experience and I kind of started writing songs for the size of audience that I was playing for, these arenas," Blunt said. "But eventually I just kind of felt there's only so much you can write songs for other people, you kind of get more writing songs for yourself. Rather than trying to do something for you, I've written for me and I think weirdly other people feel there's more for them as well because there's more honesty and it's more genuine." Blunt says Moon Landing is perhaps the personal album he would have written if Back to Bedlam hadn't hit the way that it did. Blunt says the record sounds old school. "It sounds nostalgic and raw and lonely," he said. The record also touches on celebrity and the tragedy that can sometimes go along with it. He specifically addresses this topic on "Miss America," a piano ballad which he wrote with Whitney Houston in mind. "As far as I'm concerned it's her song. It's about her amazing talent and her tragic story behind it, and really our part in that," Blunt said. "In so many ways we had a role to play in that and the tragedy in her story is that it happens so often." more on this story
In a new teaser, Del Rey is shown in a veil while desperately praying for her life. "Dear John forgive us our sins," Lana Del Rey says, as John Wayne lookalike is shown holding a rifle. While no release date for the film has been announced, the trailer description simply reads "Tropico Coming Soon." In an interview earlier this year with Radio.com, Del Rey opened up on her demos being leaked. "I do feel discouraged," she said. "I don't really know what to put on the record. But I guess I could just put them [the demos] on and see what happens. Each time I write I'll never write a song if I don't think it's going to be perfect for the record." Check out the video here.
His new 90-minute TV special, David Blaine: Real or Magic, will air as a 90-minute special in November and will feature Blaine performing for a grip of celebrities including Kanye West, Katy Perry, as well as Ricky Gervais, Woody Allen, Robert De Niro, Stephen Hawking and former President George W. Bush. "I went after all of the people that I loved the most and surprised them and did magic in places that I knew people would understand that I couldn't have staged or set up or had people pretending," Blaine told The Hollywood Reporter. "I wanted it to all be believable and went after people you never could get to pretend. I combined that with going into the streets and encountering all different people to do magic nonstop." The show will reportedly take place inside the home (or kitchen) of Kanye West, and be more magic-focused and less endurance-focused than his recent televised stunts. more on this story
"You have certain songs that grow on you and certain songs that you kinda fall off of after a while. And this was one that, after listening to it for a year, I'm still into it. And that's usually the sign of a good song." "When She Says Baby" was written by Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, two-thirds of the hit songwriting trio the Peach Pickers (Akins is also the father of singer Thomas Rhett). "When we're looking for songs for a record, I mean, you have certain songs that come in that are like 'no brainers'[as in] 'this is huge, it's gonna be a monster song.'" In a previous Radio.com interview, Aldean brought up Night Train's "Take a Little Ride" as an example of one of those 'no brainers.' Other songs, however, "kinda grow on you as time goes on," Aldean explained. "And 'Baby' for me was one of those songs." "I mean, I love the song," he continued. "Rhett Akins, one of the writers on it, pitched it to me. [And] as time went on I liked it enough to put it in the show. And the reaction we got there was great." "When She Says Baby" also made the song list during Aldean's show last spring at the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadiuma set that is now showcased on his brand-new live DVD, Night Train To Georgia. So obviously heand his fanswere already digging the song months ago. more on this story
"I got the opportunity to write, perform and record new end credits song for the new Hobbit film 'The Desolation Of Smaug'," explains Sheeran. "its called 'I see fire'. This is the first time i've produced something and played all the instruments on it (apart from the cello, but dont judge me)." "I hope you dig it, big up to Peter Jackson and his team for having me involved in this," he continued. "I am a massive Jackson man, a massive Hobbit and LOTR fan, and I also look like a hobbit. so it's a good fit." Watch the video here.
Cibrian told Terri, "It's just ludicrousThey say we're going through a 50 million dollar divorce, it's 100 million dollarsThey just have no fact checking what so ever." Eddie went on to say that he and LeAnn just laugh of the rumors, "Most of the time all you can do is laugh because it's so out there and outrageous." Cibrian explained that the couple decided to do a reality show in order to dispel rumors. "There were a lot of things going on, reasons why we made this decision. One of them was that people have misconceptions. The tabloid fodder is just out of control. People think they know us, and they don't, so we wanted to give them a glimpse into who we really are."
"I have a lot of brothers, eventually down the road yes, I want a brood, I want a team." Taylor went on to say, "I can't imagine not having a big family." When AJ asked how Taylor thinks he and Gaga will be as parents Taylor said, "Oh geez, I don't knowSome day, some day." As for the possibility of Lady Gaga making a guest appearance on "Chicago Fire" Taylor not ruling it out, "If it did happen I still wouldn't tell you, it would have to be a surprise, just watch and see." more on this story
