New Adele Album and Tour Coming?
(Radio.com) The world could be hearing new music from Adele as early as this year. The UK singer, who rose to household name status after the release of her critically acclaimed album 21 in 2011, has been leaving cryptic messages on Twitter.

On Tuesday, (July 15) the World Music Awards Twitter account continued the mystery when they tweeted that the singer confirmed a 2015 tour after the release of her forthcoming album, allegedly titled 25. While their website had no article or further information on the release, it doesn't seem too unlikely that the singer has new music on the way.

Back in May, a day after her 25th birthday, Adele left a mysterious tweet of her own, no doubt sparking the new music rumors. "Bye bye 25," she Tweeted with a photo of herself. more on this story

Drake Pays $100,000 to Rapper for Stolen Lyrics
(Radio.com) Drake has reportedly paid a fellow rapper $100,000 for borrowing his lines in a recent rap. According to TMZ, Rappin' 4-Tay was paid a hefty sum from the Canadian rapper' label after the San Francisco native alleged that Drake has stolen lyrics from his 1994 song "Playaz Club."

The theft in question occurred on YG's song "Who Do You Love," on which Drake guests. While the lyrics may not match up completely, certain words and the general flow of Drake's verse are unmistakably similar or the same as Rappin' 4-Tay's original.

For his part, 4-Tay doesn't seem too upset; according to TMZ, he's not upset with Drake over the situation. He does, however, seem grateful for the decision, given his Twitter and Facebook posts on the matter since the original story went live. more on this story

Sia Scores Her First No. 1 Album
(Radio.com) Sia can no longer hide from the spotlight. The Australian singer has just scored a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with her sixth full-length release, 1000 Forms of Fear, which has sold 52,000 copies in its first week.

This news is especially exciting for those who've been rooting for the Australian singer, considering she's spent the past four years putting her energy into writing songs for others. Among them: Rihanna's "Diamonds," Beyonc's "Pretty Hurts" and Ne-Yo's "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself)."

Now she's finally receiving the recognition she deserves. This victory is all the more impressive since she bypassed a traditional promotional cycle behind 1000 Forms of Fear.

Leading up to the release, Sia didn't even show her face in promo photos, videos, or performances and instead opted for a rotating cast to play her while wearing a blonde wig in the video for the lead single "Chandelier" and on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live! more on this story

Chris Brown and Drake Team Up For ESPYs Sketch
(Radio.com) After being seen hanging out in a California studio last week, Chris Brown and Drake took their thawing relationship to the next level: by appearing in a sketch at the ESPYs together.

Drake hosted the 2014 ESPYs for ESPN Wednesday night (July 16) and, along with helping give out some of the evening's big awards, flexed his acting chops in content both live and pre-recorded, including one segment also starring basketball star Blake Griffin.

In the clip, the duo - Blake and Drake - fend for the distinction of having their name before the other in a movie title in which they're about to star. What follows is a series of pranks and one-upping the other, including one instance when Drake is found under the knife to remove his appendix and Griffin is revealed to be the doctor.

"Oh, my god, you're the surgeon?" the rapper asks when Griffin takes off his mask.

"Oh, I'm not the surgeon," Griffin responds, pointing to his right. "He is."

Turns out it's Brown, who along with Griffin puts Drake under anesthesia. more on this story

"I have accepted Joanie Faircloth's apology and retraction to clear my name," Oberst said in the statement. "This has been extremely difficult and stressful for me personally and for those I love. I'm appreciative of the family, friends, fans, and business partners who supported me throughout this and look forward to happier times as we all move forward with our lives."

Little Big Town Releasing New Album 'Pain Killer' This Fall
(Radio.com) Little Big Town have announced that they will release their sixth studio album Pain Killer on October 21st, the country four-piece has confirmed. The album, which follows the group's 2012 album Tornado, is produced by Jay Joyce, who worked with the band on their last release.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Country, Karen Fairchild explained that the band knew right away the album would be titled Pain Killer. "We knew the record was going to be called Pain Killer way on into the process because we love that song," Fairchild told Rolling Stone Country.

"That song is really kind of tongue-in-cheek - 'be the person that numbs my pain.' We started talking about tying that thread through the whole record, to ease your pain. Don't we want the whole record to do that for people, anyway? Whether it's a sad moment, or a song that's more thoughtful and has a lot more substance in the lyric, we want music to take us away. Pain Killer fits, that's the common thread through all the songs." More including track details.

RZA and Faulkner Release New York Yankees Theme Song Video
(Radio.com) Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA and Venice, Calif.-based rock band Faulkner have released a new music video for their collaborative effort, "NY Anthem."

The song is deeply rooted in the wide world of sports, being used as an anthem at all upcoming home games for the Major League Baseball New York Yankees franchise. The track will also serve as the theme for this year's U.S. Open tennis tournament during ESPN broadcasts (via Billboard).

Recorded in Rick Rubin's Shangri La Studio in Malibu, the song was debuted back in April of this year on ESPN show, Draft Academy. "I like these guys a lot it turned out to be a great energy," RZA told Billboard earlier this year about the collaboration with Faulkner.

"It's never hard to find something new to say about New York. They gave me a demo of the song, and it sounded very interesting. So I said, 'OK, let me come on in and see what kind of energy we have.' And it turned out to be a great energy."

Weird Al Parodies Lorde's 'Royals' With 'Foil'
(Radio.com) Be honest: sure, when you're too stuffed to finish your food at a restaurant, you'll take it home in whatever container the restaurant will give you, but half of the time, it gets deposited into your refrigerator and sits there for days before you remember it was even there, by which point it's, well, not looking too great.

Should that be the case, Weird Al Yankovic has the solution in his new parody of Lorde's "Royals," posted Wednesday (July 16). "Foil," the third video from Yankovic's brand new Mandatory Fun, tackles what happens to food after it's taken home, often being left to rot because of improper storage. Instead, he claims, wrap it up in aluminum foil, and suddenly your problems are solved.

"I just like / to keep all my flavors sealed in tight / with aluminum foil," he sings, tearing off a piece to prove his point. But unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on who you ask), the song takes a dark turn as Al starts singing about the Illuminati taking over, furrowing his brow and staring at the camera menacingly as the director, played by Patton Oswalt, desperately attempts to get him to stop.

But it all comes back to foil - only this time, it's covering his head, not a sandwich. Watch it here.

Willow Smith and SZA Team Up For Domino
(Radio.com) In the time since Willow Smith captured hearts and imaginations with "Whip My Hair," the youngest child of the Will Smith-Jada Pinkett Smith power union has become a teenager, released some less successful singles, and is still yet to offer up a full-length album. But, she's only 14, so it isn't like she is behind on the curve.

And, in a very positive sign, she is hanging out with some interesting friends, as was seen when she hopped on stage last night with SZA to perform their unreleased collaborative track, "Domino."

Sonically, it is more SZA than Smith, and is the most mature we have seen young Smith yet. Which makes sense, as she is more mature now than ever, technically. Still, this could be possibly pointing to a new direction for the still forming career and a step to becoming an artist beyond her childhood.

SZA also hinted that more music from the pair could be on the way. Check out "Domino" from Rough Trade here.

Nicki Minaj and Cam'ron Release 'So Bad' Video
(Radio.com) What would Nicki Minaj be like as a landlord? That question and more is answered in the video for "So Bad," Cam'ron's new take on his 2012 Yummy Bingham track, this time featuring Minaj.

The music video, directed by Antwan Smith and premiered via Complex, opens with Cam checking out a $20,000-a-month apartment owned by Minaj. Cam spends the rest of the video appealing to her, when he's not sipping on Clique Vodka, and wooing her with lines like "I was dealing, ma / Introduced you to dealing, ma / You ain't even know a fan could go up on the ceiling, ma."

Minaj however, rocking a new blonde 'do and Barbie heels, isn't easily wooed. The MC delivers a hard-hitting verse and pokes fun at Cam: "Now you running round fronting like you paid in full / My n-a, you ain't Rico, this ain't Paid in Full."

But their love is shared for their hometown, New York. The video shows shots of the city's bridges, subway, Times Square and The Apollo in Harlem, while Minaj goes back to her roots with the verse: "You was telling my mother you loved me all the time /Pink Range you was pushing, that was sorta mine / Late night New York fried chicken spots and all / 125 and Lenox outside the mall."

Alt-J Release 'Hunger of the Pine' Video
(Radio.com) There's somewhat of a Hunger Games quality to alt-J's new music video. No, kids aren't killing each other, and Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson aren't ogling each other for two hours. But the video for "Hunger of the Pine" immediately veers into wilderness territory as its focal character has arrows shot at him.

"Hunger of the Pine" isn't exactly for the faint of heart; as the man in the video attempts to escape the airborne arrows, he's shot right through the chest by one. Determined to get knocked down but get up again, he continues to stagger through the forest, attempting to avoid more arrows - though his plight is unsuccessful.

The three-minute, 46-second video includes the song's surging, throbbing undertones as a soundtrack, a fairly formidable complement to the video's stark visuals.

New Pornographers Unleash War On the East Coast Video
(Radio.com) Things go terribly wrong in the New Pornographers latest video - but it's only fitting since the song is titled "War On the East Coast." The band's new music video was directed by Thom Glunt and taken in one shot. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the New Pornographers' Carl Newman said this was the sole reason he chose to be in it.

"We were going for some mid-Nineties second-tier Britpop attitude," Newman told Rolling Stone. "In the past, I've never really wanted to be in the video. But with this, we wanted to have fun and fully be in the video."

Newman and Dan Bejar star in the four-minute clip as the world is in disarray. In the opening scene, the duo leave their car as it starts to smoke up, alluding to how things will quickly go south. While the streets aren't completely deserted, things are iffy. Smoke fills the air and an animated man is jumping around, starting a riot. "It's war on the East Coast / It's war out West / Though I don't care," frontman Newman sings.

Pretty soon debris is flying everywhere and the riot comes to fruition as rioters attack a street fair, vandalize parked cars and start fires throughout the streets.

The-Dream Releases iPhone Video for 'Culture'
(Radio.com) You've probably seen a music video shot with an iPhone before - LeAnn Rimes, Rob Thomas and Jeff Beck's "Gasoline and Matches" comes to mind - but have you seen a music video taken from footage of an iPhone showing pictures or video?

The-Dream is taking the idea of shooting a video with a iPhone to an entirely new level in the visual clip for "Culture," from his Royalty: the Prequel EP, which he surprise-released last week.

The meta video consists solely of Terius Nash flipping through his iPhone's photostream. It shows photos from a trip to France, where we see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and beach. The outing was likely Nash's honeymoon with his new wife, who he secretly married in San Francisco at the beginning of the month. Watch it here.

Adrienne Bailon 'Excited' to Remove Rob Kardashian Tattoo
(Extra) "Extra" was with "The Real" co-host Adrienne Bailon as she began the process of removing a tattoo of ex-boyfriend Rob Kardashian's name. Bailon dated the reality star over 6 years ago and is looking forward to finally removing the ink. "I'm excited, anxious, excited more than anything. I think I've waited a long time, long enough, to have this officially gone."

The talk show co-host said living with the tat has been the most painful part. "I thinking living the last six years with somebody's name on your body is a little weird and that's more painful, like, you know, to have to explain it to my kids."

She also has had to explain it to her current boyfriend, Roc Nation's Lenny S, who has been completely supportive. "It's great that he's somebody that wants it gone, but not in a selfish way. He wants it to be done right, and it won't be something that will damage my skin and I'll be scarred for life."

Adrienne admitted she has had two unsuccessful attempts to remove the tattoo, but is now turning to Dr. Jeremy Brauer of New York, and his latest removal tool, the PicoSure Laser.

Bailon explained, "What I love about the PiscoSure Laser is that it can work on people who already attempted to remove their tattoos and it hasn't worked before I'm excited to see how this works. I know it won't be completely gone in one session, but that there will be a drastic change."

Dr. Brauer predicted Adrienne might only need five treatments and told "Extra" the PicoSure Laser actually shatters the tattoo particle and is the first major breakthrough in tattoo removal in 20 years. "All other devices that exist are nanosecond lasers, so this is a thousand times shorter pulse duration."

After the first treatment, Bailon said, "I'm not going lie to you I was so nervous. I had really painful experiences before doing laser tattoo removal before, like smelling my flesh burning. With this, I literally didn't get to the chorus of a song and it was done. I love the fact [Dr. Brauer] used an ice pack and numbing cream. This was painless." Check out the before and after video.

Cheryl Burke Slams Skinny And Plastic Surgery Headlines
(Extra) "Dancing with the Stars" pro Cheryl Burke joined "Extra's" Mario Lopez at Universal Studios Hollywood as guest co-host, where she spoke candidly about headlines saying she's lost too much weight and has had plastic surgery.

Burke recently celebrated her 30th birthday in Mexico and posted pics from her vacation, which sparked the backlash. She told Mario, "For me, like any woman, my weight fluctuates. Either I'm too fat for some people, and now I'm too skinny, but honestly I feel great. I'm healthy, exercising and eating right. I mean there's no secret."

Cheryl slammed rumors she has had surgery and lip injections. "I've never done anything to my face. I've always had naturally big lips... I actually got bullied for my lips when I was a little girl. This is just natural. I have to say my mom has great genes, and I'm Asian. I have good skin."

As for next season of "DWTS," Burke revealed there may be some more changes. "We might go back to two nights, that's the rumor on the streets, maybe for a few weeks, or maybe a fourth judge. I know Len Goodman is traveling back and forth, so he may miss a few weeks." more on this story

Singled Out: STL GLD's PNYBOY The Hustler
Rapper Moe Pope and producer The Arcitype have teamed up in STL GLD and today they tell us about "PNYBOY The Hustler", from their forthcoming album "My Monday Morning Music (MMMM)", which comes out August 12 ". Here is the story:

The Arcitype: Moe and I went back and forth a bunch on the beat for this song. It was one of the last songs we made for the album and it needed to be right because the album was missing something. I tried a number different things in the studio on my own and sent them to him, but nothing was quite right. It wasn't until we could get into the studio together that we were able to come up with the right combination of sounds to achieve the feel we were both looking for, the result was PNY BOY the Hustler

Moe Pope: Ultimately, PNY BOY is about eyeing the gab between the haves and the have-nots, and knowing that to get from one side to the other, you have to be at the top of your game, and hustle constantly. In hip-hop, we're Ponyboy, and we'll hustle however hard we need to

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself as you watch the video here and you can preorder the album right here!
