Justin Bieber Surprises Club With Impromptu Set

(Radio.com) Justin Bieber's Purpose has three hit singles and counting, and the singer treated club-goers to a pop-up performance at the 1 OAK club in West Hollywood. His set included "Sorry" and "What Do You Mean?" the biggest successes (so far) from his fourth studio album.

He even had a sense of humor about the situation, giving the audience a hard time for, well, listening to Justin Bieber. 'Come on. If you're not feeling this right now, get the f- out of here," he teased. 'How many people thought that you would like Justin Bieber?"

Interestingly, that question has been on millions of American minds since the release of "What Do You Mean?" in August 2015. The singer's sturdiest album yet has sprung him from the teen-pop mold into legitimate mainstream stardom. Watch clips from the impromptu live set here.

Timbaland Camp Denies Charity Event Champagne Claims

(Radio.com) Timbaland's camp has denied a report from NY Daily News that he refused to perform at a charity event because his favorite champagne wasn't served. The Empire producer was scheduled to perform at a charity event for Flint, Michigan to raise money for the current water crisis.

After being hired to perform several songs at Detroit's Club Bleu last Thursday, the venue's promoter, Mitchell Jaworski, claimed that Timbaland refused to perform because he asked to have Armand de Brignac ("Ace of Spades") champagne and was, instead, served Dom Perignon.

"They had about 15 bottles of liquor and champagne, which is extremely excessive especially for a charity event," Jaworski told the Daily News. "They seemed more concerned about getting every drop of liquor."

After the contract calling for a performance was shown to management, Timbaland took a position behind the DJ booth and bobbed his head to the music for thirty minutes. He "just stood there in defiance," reports the NY Daily News.

But, according to Timbaland's camp, that was not the case. "Unfortunately, the statement made by the promoter in Detroit is simply not true," Timbaland's rep tells Billboard. Read more here.

Charlie Puth Talks Nine Track Mind

(Radio.com) As he prepares to tour for his first major release, Nine Track Mind, Charlie Puth discussed the album release, his collaboration with Selena Gomez, and using some of his relationship issues for song inspiration with Teen Vogue.

"I'm really looking forward to people hearing this body of work that I've poured my heart into." He also gives a hint of what to anticipate on the album. "I think with me and the type of music that I'm trying to make, it's always going be soulful, because I grew up listening to different types and variations of soulful melodies and jazz, but experimenting with different types of stylistic souls.

"'We Don't Talk Anymore' has a Brazilian vibe. There's a guitar. I have an idea to do a Spanish version of it, like, learn all the lyrics in Spanish and sing it like that. And 'Losing My Mind' has almost like a Travis Scott, Drake kinda vibe to it, but also has some very soulful, Luther Vandross melodies on it. I don't know, maybe soulful hip-hop with a side of jazz kinda thing?"

The album is currently out and check out the tour dates here.

Tyler, the Creator May Appear on Kanye West's 'Waves'

(Radio.com) If a picture is worth a thousand words then Tyler, the Creator just dropped some knowledge regarding his possible collaboration with Kanye West. Based on a photo Tyler's friend Tracey Mills shared on Instagram, it looks like the California rapper could be featured on Kanye's upcoming album Waves.

Late Sunday night (Jan. 31), Mills posted a photo showing Tyler reading over what looks to be Kanye's Waves crib sheet. The caption reads "Wolf gang in the building" followed by several wave emojis and "#Waves 2|11|16."

Thanks to Kanye's ever-expanding tracklist sheet, it looks like he's already tapped Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, T Mills, Big Boy and A$AP Rocky to participate. With the album dropping on Feb. 11, though, he doesn't have much time left before he has to stop tinkering. See the post here.

Blake hasn't been shy about this being a prolific creative period. In the past year, Shelton divorced Miranda Lambert and began a relationship with Gwen Stefani. Will that new love make its way onto the album alongside songs about his painful split? Only time will tell. Read more here.

Video Of 8-Year-Old Drake Rapping 'Killing Me Softly' Goes Online

(Radio.com) The Fugees' "Killing Me Softly" was a seminal track for fans of hip-hop with crossover appeal in the 1990s. New video proves that Drake was among the legions of fans who knew the deep cut by heart.

The 15-second clip uncovered by Montreality shows an 8-year-old Drake serving equal parts nerd and hip-hop cred in glasses and a polo shirt. His flow might be a few octaves higher than the Drake we're used to, but his skill and precision are on display as he tears it up with a friend.

Most of all, the video proves what we already knew--Even when Drake started from the bottom, he was a student of the game. "If I ruled the world," he raps as the video cuts out. Read more here.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Recruit Olivia Wilde For Video

(Radio.com) Actress Olivia Wilde is currently in New Orleans scouting locations and dancers for the new Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros music video. Wilde will be directing the video for "No Love Like Yours," off the band's upcoming studio album, PersonA, due out Apr. 15.

Wilde and her crew, which include the band's lead singer Alex Ebert, have been in New Orleans since Friday scouting locations. "This is going to be a beautiful, trippy, awesome adventure," she wrote on Instagram. Wilde stopped by the rusted half moon bridge to Crescent Park and the St. Roch Market, among other popular local spots.

Must be pretty happy with today. I'm doing this pose in every single picture. #neworleans #locationscout @babsbrayton πŸŽ₯🎼🎬 A photo posted by Olivia Wilde (@oliviawilde) on Jan 29, 2016 at 7:03pm PST

It looks as though Ebert is showing her around while they figure out where to shoot the video. In 2014, Ebert purchased Piety St. Studios, where such legends as Allen Toussaint once recorded (via The Times-Picayune). Over on the band's Instagram, he shared a video of a crawfish boil they held at the studios this weekend. You can almost smell the spices from here.

Harry Styles Tweets Taylor Swift Lyrics For His Birthday

(Radio.com) One Direction star Harry Styles chose a curious way to tweet about his birthday on Monday (Feb. 1). He went with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's lyrics.

Styles tweeted the first line of the chorus from Swift's song "22": "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22." The song appeared off her 2012 album Red, which Styles may be overly familiar with since it was released the year he and Swift began seeing each other.

What he means by the tweet remains to be seen. Given the song's opening lyrics, "It feels like a perfect night/ To dress up like hipsters/ And make fun of our exes," is the tweet an olive branch or a tongue-in-cheek jab at his former flame? Read more here.

Chris Martin Reveals Springsteen's Super Bowl Advice

(Radio.com) Coldplay has been putting in a great deal of rehearsal time to make sure their Super Bowl performance is a memorable one. Frontman Chris Martin took a break from rehearsing with the band to talk to Anthony Mason of CBS Sunday Morning.

During the interview, Martin revealed the advice he got from Bruce Springsteen about performing at the big game. "I love the whole concept of trying to present your entire musical life in twelve and a half minutes, it's a great challenge, said Martin. "After fifteen years of the band we've possibly got eleven good minutes, he laughs, "so we have some special guests, and they'll cover the rest."

The advice from the Boss? "It's gotta be muscle memory," Martin relates, doing his best Springsteen impression. "You gotta know every note man, 12 minutes, it ain't not long, but it's long enough." Read more here.

Dierks Bentley Talks Hosting the ACM Awards

(Radio.com) On Monday, Dierks Bentley went on CBS This Morning to announce the nominees for some of the categories for the ACM Awards. He was there in his role as the show's newest co-host; he'll be hosting along with Luke Bryan. It's new territory for Bentley, but he tells Radio.com that he's looking forward to it.

"There's one thing to be a singer or songwriter, but to be entertainers is a whole different category. That's why I love some of the legends of country music, they can entertain with or without a guitar, they're just funny people. So it's definitely a challenge; taking it on [isn't] something I could just step into. I gotta put a little time into it, but I'm going to have a great time."

He notes that he's been friends with Luke Bryan for a long time, and feels that they'll have a great rapport. "You know Luke, he just has this kind of 'pass,' I guess: he can just say whatever he wants to say, whenever he wants to say it, and for some reason it's always funny. I don't know why, but he's got that thing. Having him as a co-host is a huge help. He's done it before, so he's got some experience. We've got some stuff to work out, but at the same time we don't want it to be too fixed, we want it to be loose and fun and kind of represent the vibe of the ACMs in Las Vegas, which is a good time. So I think some of those screw ups can work in your favor as well."

"I've known Luke since before he's had a record deal with Capitol," he continues. "I've always been a big fan, we've toured together a lot in the past, he's opened for me and now recently I've been opening for him. And to watch him become one of the biggest superstars in all of music has been a lot of fun because I love the guy, so yeah, we're good friends. And it should be something we'll have a lot of fun doing together and hopefully we'll pull it off. Either way it's going to be a big party in Vegas. " Read more here.

Kim Kardashian Reveals Possible Kanye Album Titles

(Radio.com) Kim Kardashian is so ride-or-die for her husband Kanye West, she did a little bit of market research concerning the title of his album. The reality star and businesswoman polled her 39 million Twitter followers to see which of Kanye West's proposed album titles they liked best.

West is set to release and album currently called Waves on February 11th. However, knowing how fickle Kanye is that name could change right before it sees release.

Kim first posed the question, "which album title do you like better?" She gave them an option between Swish and Waves. A few minutes later, Kardashian added a third choice to the poll So Help Me God.

Of course, this being the internet, fans responded with all kinds of answers. Some actually took the poll seriously and chose from one of the pre-selected choices. Other folks took the opportunity to take shots at the couple and certainly many were NSFW in light of Kanye's recent entanglement with Amber Rose.

Check out a few of the best responses here.
