Selena Gomez Threatens To Quit Instagram Over Justin Bieber Drama

(Radio.com) Selena Gomez has had it with Instagram. The singer is threatening to quit the social media platform after fans twisted what she meant as a fun post into something about her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Gomez filmed herself singing along to Lil Wayne's track "Single," and hilariously responding to all of the lyrics Wayne shares about his girl. When he raps, "She hate it when I do that s-," Gomez says in a no-nonsense voice, "I did!"

And when he raps, "And when I get home she goes through my s-," she exclaims, "I sure did go through that motherf--'s s-!" Gomez finishes off the video post by shouting at the end, "I'm single!"

When her fans started talking about the connection to Bieber, Gomez fired back. "Thats (sic) a joke. I was singing back to Lil Wayne. My life isn't about my ex," she wrote in a comment (via Seventeen Magazine). She followed up that retort with another: "I want to delete my Instagram. There's no drama. Everyone else creates drama. Including this post."

Although it looks like Gomez has since removed the video that led to the comments, @SelenaGomezNews captured the video before it disappeared forever, and shared it via Twitter on Thursday, February 25th. Check it out here.

Kelly Clarkson Makes Emotional Return To American Idol

(Radio.com) Kelly Clarkson made an emotional return to the American Idol stage last week (Feb. 25). The first winner of the show performed her new tune "Piece By Piece" which brought the crowd, including judge Keith Urban, to tears.

Clarkson herself stopped at several points near the end of the song, overcome with emotion. "I'm pregnant and nostalgic and it's the last season," Clarkson told host Ryan Seacrest after her performance. "I'm sorry I just bawled."

The tune is about a father who abandons his daughter and the daughter who in turn builds a family to whom she refuses to do the same. "It's touching for me because I wrote it when I was pregnant with my little girl, and now I'm pregnant with my little boy," Clarkson said, adding, "who I hope comes out soon." Watch it here.

(Radio.com) Dierks Bentley went to Puerto Morelos, Mexico, to film the music video for the lead single from his upcoming Black album. The "Somewhere on a Beach" video follows the story of the song, somewhat.

'It took three days to shoot this videowe got so much great stuff all over this tiny little Mexican village outside of Cancun," Bentley said in a press release. "It kills me to think about all the funny moments that we couldn't fit into this edit.

"Our lead character Josh is an old friend that some fans may recognize. He had us doubled over laughing on the set the whole time'.really funny dude and incredible actor. I hope everyone digs our take on this story, which may be a little unexpected."

The 1975 Release 'The Sound' Video

(Radio.com) British alt-rock band The 1975 released their lengthily-titled album today, and followed up that big drop with yet another: A music video for their song, "The Sound." The video returns the many jabs they've gotten from the mainstream press about their music.

Mirroring the pastel pink cover art for their new album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, the video begins with the band playing a boxed-in stage accentuated by flamingo pink lights. Even though they perform to an empty room at first, a crowd eventually gathers to watch. Lead singer Matthew Healy looks around nervously, because the crowd turns out to be full of critics.

In between the band's performance, title cards flash with criticisms about their music: "Is This a Joke?" reads one, while another asks, "Do People Really Still Make Music Like This?" It's 1975's way of taking control of their sound, their music and their image, all while having the last word about what they're doing.

I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it dropped today, February 26th. Watch the video here.

Justin Bieber Recorded A Rap Track Says Diplo

(Radio.com) Is Justin Bieber trading in his pop sound for rap? While he's not switching up his image anytime soon, that doesn't mean the Biebs can't have a little fun with the occasional song or two.

According to Diplo, Bieber recorded a rap track while working on other songs with the DJ/producer and Skrillex, but the song never made Purpose's final cut.

Speaking with Fuse at the Brit Awards, Diplo said, "We actually have a crazy track that we never put out with him, like a rap song, that you might see in the summertime." Read more here.

Mike Posner Talks 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza'

(Radio.com) Even in the digital age, some songs still require time to grow organically. Such is the case with Mike Posner's smash, "I Took a Pill in Ibiza." Posner wrote the track back in 2014 as an acoustic song but he didn't release it until a year later.

Then, in 2015, SeeB (a Norwegian duo specializing in remixes) reworked the track. Almost immediately it caught fire throughout Europe. "It's a little deja vu-y with my first single, 'Cooler Than Me,' Posner tells Radio.com. "The same kind of thing happened. I wrote the track. It was me and Big Sean I produced it. And then a guy named Gigamesh remixed it. That time it may have even been around longer. Maybe two or three years before the radio started playing it." Indeed, Posner's wait did pay off. "Cooler Than Me" charted in 19 countries reaching number 3 on Billboard Pop Chart.

The same thing is happening again. After more than two years, one of his tracks has caught fire thanks to the unexpected reception of a remix. Although Posner embraces remixes, having made dozens of them for A-list artists, SeeB's didn't stand out at first. "I was in a singer-songwriter phase. I was listening to a lot of Bob Dyland and Merle Haggard. They sent it over and I kind of just half listened to it," he admits.

At first the song blew up in Norway thanks to SeeB, then quickly spread throughout the Netherlands and Europe and hit stateside months later. But the irony oh the irony. There's a lot of it with "I Took A Pill in Ibiza." "The track is about being done with the scene. The writing of that song has thrust me back into the scene," says Posner through a chuckle. "That I think it's comical."

After "Cooler Than Me," Posner's former label was unable to get another single to connect and subsequent songs failed, leaving him in limbo for years. He sold his Porsche, his shoe collection and nearly everything he considered excessive and distracting, minus the house, and drove around the West Coast in a "creepy 1994 Dodge Ram conversation van" in search of himself. Staying with friends, attending Burning Man, even taking a pill in Ibiza, which resulted in him feeling ten years older. "Physically I felt terrible," he confessed. "I think I gained many life experiences in that three or four hours." But this wasn't the first time the singer/songwriter has taken a psychoactive substance. Read more here.
