AC/DC Release Preview Video For U.S. Tour With Axl Rose

(hennemusic) AC/DC have released a video preview of their fall US tour with Axl Rose. The ten show run on the Rock Or Bust tour, originally set for spring, was postponed in March when singer Brian Johnson was advised by doctors to stop performing immediately or risk total hearing loss.

Rose stepped in to assist the band and the pairing launched AC/DC's European tour in Lisbon on May 7 to rave reviews worldwide. The fall US dates start August 27 in Greensboro, NC and will wrap up in Philadelphia, PA on September 20.

"We're all looking forward to getting out there and playing," says guitarist Angus Young. "It's part of the whole tour; we're going to have a real blast. We'll probably have a few surprises, a few different songs when we do tour through America.

"The best thing about being in the band is the challenge of doing it again, getting out there and playing in front of people. Each show gets more and more exciting" Watch the video here.

Meek Mill's House Arrest Reportedly Extended

(Radio.com) Meek Mill isn't through with his house arrest just yet. The rapper was originally supposed to be released from his lockdown sentence Wednesday (June 1), but sources close to him are reporting that his sentence has been extended an additional eight days, according to TMZ.

In addition to remaining under house arrest, Meek needed to perform 90 days of community service and to do so with specific groups. The judge required Meek to volunteer with the homeless, veterans, senior citizens or the organization Habitat for Humanity.

Meek did do volunteer work, but it didn't involve the specific groups listed on his case's documentation. He gave motivational speeches, visited schools and, along with many other celebrities, helped out with Flint's water crisis. Read more here.

Axl Rose Explains Why He Has Stopped Signing Autographs

(hennemusic) Axl Rose says he won't be signing autographs for a while after being hounded on AC/DC's European tour by professionals who resell the pieces on auction sites like eBay.

"Can't take da ebayers so un42nutzly I's won'tz b signing things 4 awhile," tweeted Rose. "Much Love 2 the real fans!!" Professional autograph sellers frequently harass celebrities for signatures purely as a profit source at the literal and figurative expense of real fans, which causes artists like Rose and others to take the position that no signings will happen at all.

Rose made his AC/DC debut in Lisbon on May 7 and will play 13 dates on a spring run that has seen the band extend their Rock Or Bust setlist from 20 to 24 songs with the rotation of new additions representing classic tracks from Bon Scott-era: "Dog Eat Dog" from 1977's "Let There Be Rock", "Rock 'n' Roll Damnation" and "Riff Raff" from 1978's "Powerage", and "If You Want Want Blood (You've Got It)" and "Touch Too Much" from 1979's "Highway To Hell."

"With Axl, we've been able to mix up quite a few songs, do a few older ones and put them, which we haven't done in a number of years," guitarist Angus Young tells Planet Rock . "We always used to kind of get a setlist, and that would be it for a tour. So now we've got a lot more adding and putting in different tracks, and the fun part is when we get there on the stage, and seeing it come to life in front of the audience and seeing the reaction." Fetty Wap's 'Wake Up' Video Causes Trouble For High School Principal

(Radio.com) The principal at Fetty Wap's high school has been suspended for allowing the artist to shoot his "Wake Up" video at the school. School administrators there deemed the content of the song inappropriate.

The video was shot at East Side High School in Paterson, New Jersey, the school that Fetty Wap attended, and dropped out of. The clip is framed as a dropout-made-good story, and title cards encourage students to "find their own path."

Nevertheless, parents and school board members are unhappy with the video, which depicts a stripper pole shot in a classroom and numerous drug references.

"I went back to my old high school because I love my city," Wap said in a statement. "I wanted to show the students of Paterson that someone who walked those same hallways they walk every day and sat in the same classrooms shown in the video has become successful. If I can do it they can do it too." Read more here.

Beck Releases New Single Called 'Wow'

(Radio.com) Beck has a new single titled "Wow." Although Beck has appeared recently on tracks with Flume and The Chemical Brothers, this marks his first new music as a solo artist since 2015's "Dreams."

When asked about the lyrics of his new song "Wow," Beck told KROQ's Kevin & Bean, "Most of this song was completely off the top of my head. I didn't write any of it. It was just us fooling around in the studio.

"I didn't even mean to release it. I was working on another song and came up with the riff and then I just started freestyling." "Wow" is the first single off Beck's forthcoming album, which is set to be released on October 21st.

"'Wow' is a little bit of an outlier," continued Beck. "I did most of the record with my old keyboard player Greg Kurstin who's now a pretty well-known producer. We've been working on this for about 3 years. Most of the record is stuff I did with him. We did the song 'Dreams' which came out last year. A lot of the record is in that vein I'd say. We're thinking a lot about the live show and playing festivals. It'd been quite a few years since I'd done a record like that." Check out the song here.

Singled Out: Jake Clayton

Multi-instrumentalist Jake Clayton tells us about his new single "By The Light of the Moon" which is the title song from his latest album and he also tells us about the song "Unwound". Here are the stories:

"By The Light of the Moon": Hey everyone! I'm gonna give ya a lil backstory on my song, "By the Light of the Moon". I've heard songs my whole life about partying in the sunshine hours, but rarely about the opposite. When you're from the country, parties happen at night on dirt roads, open fields, or most anywhere there is mud. So, for this song, I just set out to write a soundtrack to that night-time, outdoor party in the country. Let's be real, that's when the fun stuff happens! The drums on this song were played by Troy Luccketta from the rock band 'Tesla'. Chris Havron played bass and Rob Daniels added some guitar work. I played all of the other Instruments, and performed all of the vocals on this song.

"Unwound": The other track I'd like to talk about is called "Unwound". I grew up on Country Music, but my guitar player and producer, Rob Daniels grew up listening to and playing a lot of rock and metal. After years of working together, the 'rock' sound has been growing on me. So on this song, I went for an aggressive rock sound with heavy guitars and heavy drums, but then mixed it with some of the country "twangy" instruments that I love. Usually when people put a Fiddle, Mandolin, or Banjo on a rock song, you can barely hear them, but we put those instruments front and center and in your face! Plus, this also gave me an outlet to sing about some of the more unpleasant things I've experienced and what better format of music to do that in? Funniest thing about this song is, most people would think Rob came up with the main riff, but it was me! I was having a bad day. My current touring drummer, Chris Broome played the drums on this one, Rob layered in more aggressive guitars and added some vocals, and I played everything else on this track. It has become one of my favorites on the album!

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album right here!
