Ozzy Sexually Abused As A Kid
Rockdirt.com reports: Ozzy Osbourne has revealed in an interview that he was sexually abused as a child by two boys who regularly waited for him as he walked home from school in Birmingham. "Two boys used to wait for me to come home after school. Then they would fu** around with me," Ozzy told The Mirror. "They didn't fu** me but they messed around with me. They would force me to drop my pants and all that sh**. They felt me and touched me and... it was terrible. The first time it happened was in front of my sister and that affected me even more. It became a regular thing on the way home from school. It seemed to go on forever."

iTunes Hacked
MuchMusic Reports: The execs at Apple must be loooking over their shoulders these days as it appears nothing is 100% safe. A 19-year-old Norwegian hacker John Lech Johansen has discovered a way to circumvent iTunes anti-copying program allowing him to open, play and ultimately download the music. Last week Johansen's iTunes' security-cracking program - along with a message reading, "So sue me" - was posted on a website he is linked to. Coldplay Wrote Song For Cash
Aversion reports: Coldplay wrote and recorded a song for Johnny Cash, although the singer died before he could record his vocals. 

The band revealed that it had written and recorded the instrumental parts for a song for the country icon, though he died a week before he was scheduled to record the vocals for the tune. 

"We recorded it with Rick Rubin and everything and all that was missing was his vocals," the band wrote on its web site. "He was going to fly out to LA the week after he died. It's really sad."-Click Here for the Full Story

Live DVD, Binge & Purge 
Digital Noise reports: Metallica are set to release a new live DVD box-set.

Released on January 12th, "Live ----, Binge and Purge" is spread over three CDs and two DVDs, and is a reissue of 1993's VHS box set.

The package features material up to and including 1991's self-titled "Black Album". Footage was filmed in a 1992 San Diego concert and a 1989 stop on the Damaged Justice tour in Seattle.

The set's original 72-page book is reproduced on DVD2, while other treats include a commemorative backstage pass and a "scary guy stencil".

The next single to be lifted from the band's current album "St Anger" will be "The Unnamed Feeling", out on January 7th.

Big Day Off
Chart Attack reports: MUSE, FLAMING LIPS, MARS VOLTA and THE STROKES are amongst the bands who have announced their own shows to coincide with the BIG DAY OUT festival in 2004.

This year's Big Day Out festival in Australia starts in January and features the likes of The Flaming Lips, The Dandy Warhols, The Mars Volta, Peaches, Basement Jaxx, Aphex Twin, The Datsuns and Jet.

The week of the festival, organisers have put together a week of side shows, where bands playing the event do their own gigs. The details are:

Hanks, Monty Python and Harrison
Undercover reports: The Concert for George, the George Harrison tribute concert that took place on November 29, 2002, featured a famous star in the Monty Python crew it has been revealed.

Tom Hanks was fairly well disguised as one of the Mounties for performance of the Python comedy classic 'The Lumberjack Song'. He was honored to be a member of Monty Python for one night only. "If The Beatles came along in 1964 thank God Monty Python came along in 1973 in my consciousness" he says. "To take part in any kind of Monty Pythonesque bit would truly be a dream come true. There would be no further feather in the cap I think than to sing 'I'm a Limberjack and I'm okay'."

Python's Terry Gilliam says Harrison saw Monty Python as an extension of The Beatles. "He was a huge Python fans" Gilliam says. "He was always convinced that the spirit of The Beatles went into Python because we started the year they quit. Stars Rock For AIDS
AP reports: Bono, Peter Gabriel and other musicians from around the world took to the stage for an AIDS benefit concert hosted by former South African President Nelson Mandela. 

More than 30,000 people, among them Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities, filled Cape Town's Greenpoint Stadium on Saturday for the show, part of Mandela's 46664 campaign to fight AIDS, named after his number when he was imprisoned for his fight against apartheid. 

The concert � broadcast live by the South African Broadcasting Corporation's Africa channel and on the internet � is part of an appeal to governments to declare a global AIDS emergency. 

Between 34 million and 46 million people around the world are infected with HIV, including 5.3 million South Africans � more than in any other country. The pandemic killed more than 3 million people this year, according to U.N. figures. . Click Here for the Full Story 

Jane's Wedding
AP reports: Guitarist Dave Navarro married TV vixen Carmen Electra last weekend at a hotel in Las Vegas, according to People magazine. 
Sharon Osbourne was one of the bridesmaids. About 200 guests were greeted by men in black wearing red masks, a nod to one of the couple's favorite films "Eyes Wide Shut." 

The wedding took place in a Garden of Eden, with walls of water, flowered metal vines and a white python, People reported.

Free Queen 
Reuters reports: Music label EMI is making all British rock group Queen's albums available for download over the Internet in the UK and Europe to mark World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, the company said Friday. 

Surviving members of the band, whose opera-loving singer Freddie Mercury (news) died from AIDS in 1991, will donate their royalties from the first week of online sales to AIDS charity the Mercury Phoenix Trust, with EMI matching the donation. 

Queen are one of Britain's most successful rock bands, with a recent three-CD compilation of the band's hits, "The Platinum Collection," selling a million copies in the UK. 

Fans will be able to download separate tracks or entire albums from the 18 titles online, including "The Game," "A Night at the Opera" and "News of the World."

siN's metal news: ROLLING STONES frontman Mick Jagger is to be knighted by the Queen next month, Buckingham Palace has said. Jagger will be given a knighthood on December 10th for services to music, almost 18 months after it was announced. 

It was delayed due to the ROLLING STONES' 40th anniversary world tour, which began last September in Boston and ended in Zurich last month. Jagger will receive his honour on the same day as rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson gets his MBE.
