Ashlee
Not Gay |
Ananova reports: Ashlee Simpson's manager
and father Joe Simpson has changed the gay plot in her movie debut, because
he's uncomfortable with her playing a lesbian.
The former Baptist minister fears the star's
chances of breaking into Hollywood would be hampered if she played a homosexual
in Wannabe, so he ordered movie producers to alter the romantic comedy's
script, reports American gossip site Pagesix.Com. [see full story for more]-

Osbourne
Vs Cowell |
siN's metal news reports: Jack Osbourne has
branded Simon Cowell a "slimeball" for the way he has treated his family.
The reality TV star is furious with the music guru after he labelled father
OZZY's quad bike crash last December a "publicity stunt", and is angry
over his recent comments about the break-in that occurred at the Osbournes'
UK home.
Jack, 18, claims he begged Mum Sharon not
to appear as a judge on TV talent show 'The X-Factor' alongside Cowell
because of his hurtful remarks. He is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper
as saying: "Simon Cowell is a slimeball. I didn't want my mom to do the
show. It was pretty yellow-bellied to go on a programme with a guy who
has said so many nasty things about her family and kids. But she went on."

Johnny
Ramone Book |
Blabbermouth reports: Former RAMONES drummer
Marky Ramone has posted the following message on the group's official web
site:
"I'm getting letters from fans about Johnny's
[Ramone] book (that he didn't finish), I want to say a few words about
that. Johnny was writing his book, but unfourtunately it wasn't finished.
His writer called me for an interview, about four months ago, and was very
professional. I just hope that there isn't going to be someone else completing
Johnny's book, it wouldn't be accurate, and we definitely don't need another
book of quotes. He did tell me that he was going to make a book that included
posters, backstage passes, old photos and other interesting things to look
at. I'd like to see that, it sounds cool!"[see full story for more]-

The
Kennefit |
press release reports: Solace, one of the
premier doom bands, were dealt a near-fatal blow when their drummer, Kenny
Lund, was diagnosed with cancer this past spring. The band had every intention
of following up on the success of last year's "13" (MeteorCity), having
played to unanimous raves at 2004's Emissions from the Monolith and Stoner
Hands of Doom festivals and releasing a split CD with Albany's Greatdayforup.
But with Kenny going in for treatment, the band's plans were put on hold.
While it's fortunate that Kenny's recovering
quicker than expected, there are still a considerable amount of medical
bills involved. As such, friends of Solace are getting together to help
raise money. The StonerRock.com sponsored 'Kennefit' is an all day show
in New York City, taking place at both the Pyramid and at the legendary
CBGBs on Saturday, December 18, 2004. [see full story for more]-
