Nirvana Joins Congress

(CBC) Nirvana's seminal album Nevermind, Neil Armstrong's first words from the moon and Al Jolson singing Swanee are among the 50 sound recordings joining the U.S. Library of Congress collection.

The library is making its third addition to the U.S. National Recording Registry, which collects "culturally, historically or aesthetically important" recordings that "inform or reflect life in the United States."
