Plant, 56, is so busy with his current musical projects he decided against flying to Los Angeles for the award ceremony, preferring to rehearse with his new band in England.
He says, "Jimmy had a bit of a go at me for not being there, but what can you do? What I'm doing now is more important to me.
"It's great to look back and smile. But middle-aged self-congratulation is very dangerous." [see full story for more]
