(AP) Multiplatinum-selling singer Clay Aiken will talk about his own experiences with bullying with Dr. Phil McGraw on the syndicated "Dr. Phil" show Tuesday.
"He talks about his own experiences being bullied," says RCA Records publicist Roger Widynowski, who said Aiken isn't doing any press interviews at this time. Widynowski says the bullying occurred "verbally ... throughout his whole school career. Mostly through elementary and junior high."

I think the title is a poor choice of words on a topic that is as important as this one.

I'm just a bit confused. There's nothing in the article to suggest anything degrogatory about Clay Aken's appearance on Dr. Phil - the only negative would be the headline - is there a reason to call the appearance "sniveling?" I thought he was articulate and as always upbeat, even when talking about difficult times. I'm continually amazed by his ability to "take the high road." He rarely dwells on what others did - rather he focuses on what he learned and how he managed to deal with those actions. He's a great talent and a great role model.

I think it takes a very big man to admit on TV in front of millions of people that he was treated like a loser....but, wait, to many journalists, including this one,he is. They don't realize yet the difference between a loser and a winner...Clay will always be a winner...his heart is so caring and he is so intelligent.

Watching Clay on Dr. Phil was so heartwarming. He sat there and spoke to the children so sincerely and eloquently from his personal life experience. Dr. Phil also correctly made sure that each person there got a copy of Clay's book which so concisely and clearly describes exactly what Dr. Phil's show was trying to explain. I think Clay Aiken is a true humanitarian.

I think Clay Aiken is the best role model for young people today. He's a great singer, and I love seeing him, in concert, or anywhere he may appear. What impresses me the most about this fine young man is his desire to give back to the community. Too bad there aren't more stars like him. Nothing will hold him back. ^Clay.

All I can say is he's one of the best role models there is. He rocks and can't wait to go to one of his summer concerts.
Posted by Sandy:
Yes, he was bullied, he dealt with it in his own way..so did Eminem..he wrote in song(s) about being choked, and being beat up when he was a kid...it's time to bring the bullies out of the shadows and show people what tyrants they are.

Well, you would think it is sniveling because it appears that you are one of the bullys.

Whether he's 'sniveling', singing, or standing up for special children's rights, Clay Aiken is one sweet supahstah!
