GNR
Scam |
AP reports: Guns N' Roses fans nationwide
started buzzing recently when Atlanta radio station 96Rock began advertising
that the reclusive Axl Rose would be performing at a club in Cartersville,
Ga., on Friday.
Even more exciting: Rose was said to be
teaming up with former bandmate and songwriting partner Izzy Stradlin.
The promo on the rock station's website promised a "three-hour set," with
the $20 tickets limited to one per customer.
But it appears there will be no show. "Axl
will not be there," GNR manager Merck Mercuriadis told The Associated Press.

Idol
Sex |
MSNBC reports: Has Paula Abdul been judging
more than the singing talents of the hopefuls on American Idol?
Corey Clark, a 24-year-old former contestant,
is claiming that he had a secret affair with the 42-year-old judge from
the hit show, according to the new issue of Globe magazine. Clarke reportedly
is claiming that he had sex with Abdul in the guest room of her house,
that she paid some of his expenses and promised to fund his career to the
tune of $2 million, and that she made him vow to keep their relationship
a secret. The allegations are reportedly from a book proposal that Clark
has been shopping to publishers. [Clark isn't the only one Paula supposedly
judged in bed, see full story for more]- Click

Beatle? |
Aversion reports: An upcoming book alleges
Beatles manager Brian Epstein had a homosexual affair with one of the Fab
Four.
The book, There's a Beatle in My Closet,
is being written by Epstein's former assistant, Joanne Peterson. In a stroke
of marketing genius, which is sure to be shattered once advance copies
are sent out, Peterson won't reveal exactly which Beatle the manager "went
backstage with" outside the book's pages. [see full story for more]-

Police said 18-year-old Ahman Elatab and

watched pornographic DVDs together in the basement of her house earlier
this month, while her parents were asleep.
Elatab, who is listed as a potential defense
witness for Jackson's child molestation trial, has described visiting the
singer's Neverland ranch in California. He met the singer through a friend

Motley
CD Plans |
BW&BK reports: Drummer Lee, who has been
working on another solo album, recently said he's unsure of the future
of Crue. But Neil says that songwriter Sixx has been cobbling together
more tunes.
"We are going to put out another studio
album," Neil says. "Then we'll take a little time off, and then we'll probably
tour in support of that album."
Neil suggests Crue might keep going out
of a sense of duty to rock 'n' roll. He can't find anything good on the
radio anymore.
"I don't listen to anything (recorded)
today," he says. "There's nothing today that inspires me. There's no true
rock 'n' roll bands anymore. There's all pre-fab boy bands and girl bands."
