punkbands reports: Due to concerns over unpaid royalties, Green Day has pulled their catalog from Lookout!. The long-running Berkeley-based label played host to both "1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" and "Kerplunk!" for the past decade, and also reissued a remastered version of the former last year.

Impaled Drop Tour
siN's metal news reports: IMPALED have announced that they have been forced to drop off their previously announced "Re-Animate the States" tour featuring MORTICIAN and THINE EYES BLEED due to bad planning. The band's statement can be read here:

"Boo... did I say tour? I think I spoke too soon. Basically, the booker has put off giving us tour dates for about two months now. There has been zero mention of this tour other than on our own website. After many broken promises to give us a semi-finished list of dates, or at least addresses of clubs so we could promote a few of the shows, the band took a democratic vote, and we told the booker we're not doing the tour. Kaura Head East, Far East
press release reports: Benjamin Jones and Malcolm Guess, who make up the hard rock band KAURA, are taking "World Tour" to a whole another level. In the wake of the critical acclaim following their self-released, self-titled E.P., the two multi-talented musicians will be heading for India, Thailand, Bali, Laos, and Cambodia to prepare for their much-anticipated full-length album.

While most rock bands have no reason in visiting these far and away countries other than for a vacation, KAURA, however, is an exception. Their unique and dynamic sound, which has been called a cross between A Perfect Circle and U2, is based on the subtle fusion of ancient world instruments and modern hard rock. " We have been wanting to take this kind of trip for years now" says Malcolm Guess. " Both Ben and I had been to Thailand before, and that's what really opened both of our eyes up to the wealth of musical culture out there, so we are really looking to going back to Thailand again and exploring these other countries."
