Sony Problems Go Beyond Music

(andPOP) [not music related but interesting when viewed against the recent payola settlement.]BBC News reports that Sony Pictures Entertainment will pay $1.5 million to filmgoers, settling a lawsuit begun in 2001.

The movie studio reached an out-of-court settlement last year, according to a court notice, but has only just been approved by the Los Angeles Superior Court. The lawsuit was brought by angry moviegoers who accused Sony's Columbia Tristar unit of using a fake critic to trick them into seeing its movies.
