Ozzy
Retiring |
siN's metal news reports: It's been rumored
for months that this summer's OZZFEST would be its namesake's last and
on Friday, OZZY OSBOURNE announced that he is retiring as the headliner
of the annual heavy metal festival. However, the singer is expected to
finish this summer's tour and plans to make occasional appearances at future
OZZFESTS.
"After 10 years, the OZZFEST's name and
reputation have been established," he said in a statement. "It's time for
me to move on and do other things." His publicist noted in a statement,
"OZZFEST will carry on in 2006, however OZZY will limit his performances

Bizkit
Death Suit |
Gigwise reports: Limp Bizkit are being sued
by their own insurance company, United National, over the death of a teenager
at their Big Day Out concert in Sydney in 2000.
United National have pleaded to a Los Angeles
court to absolve them from paying the bands legal fees, which have apparently
escalated to hundreds of thousands of smackers.
A Sydney court found Limp Bizkit not guilty
of the death of teenager Jessica Michalik, who was crushed to death at
the concert. But despite the innocent verdict, United National are insisting
that the band were responsible for Jessicas death and should therefore
also be responsible for their court costs, undercover.com report. [see
