(Gigwise) Pop diva Gwen Stefani is refusing to attend MTV's Video Music Awards, after bosses at the channel were unable to offer her a performing slot.
Stefani was said to be "deeply offended" by the supposed snub and has declared that she is staying away in protest, despite being up for several nominations.[She should change her name to Madonna. see full story for more]

Now THERE'S a girl with a deep set of principles. Imagine--- an instance where an artist boycotts MTV for the same superficial and transparent reasons which make MTV itself beneath contempt. Bravo.

MTV already made arrangements for enough cheese to be on stage, gwen performing woulda made all the lactose intolerant people in the crowd hafta give away their seats
