Maiden Strike Back: Ozzfest Refund?
siN's metal news reports: IRON MAIDEN manager Rod Smallwood has left the following message on the band's official website: ....I find it staggering that this ambush would take place in front of any audience, let alone in San Bernardino, the biggest audience of the tour. Didn't that audience merit any consideration? They pay an awful lot to be there in terms of prices for tickets, parking, food, beer etc. Surely if they spend this sort of money they deserve to watch the bands they paid to see be able to put in a full unhindered performance. Free of danger and intimidation. If I had paid I would ask for my money back!

And this audience really were outstanding, giving the band incredible support and many voting with their feet in disgust after the set and the speech, which to many was the final insult.

... We will have no more to say on this matter except that l do think the band deserve an apology from a number of people, and you know who you are. [we only printed a small part here, click the full story link for the full statement]- Click Here for the Full Story

Tremolo TV!
press release reports: Oakland, CA-based Tremolo is confirmed to be featured on this week's "What's Next!" show, which is produced by A&E Networks. The show is scheduled to air on Thursday, August 25th, on The Biography Channel at 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. eastern time, and 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. pacific time. "What's Next!" is a half-hour-long, weekly magazine style show, shot in A&E's studio in New York for The Biography Channel. Every Thursday evening, the show's host, Kelly Deadmon, introduces viewers to the latest releases in entertainment. Tremolo's album, "Love Is The Greatest Revenge," will be featured this week.

"Love Is The Greatest Revenge" was released on August 9th by Flagship Recordings with national distribution via Fontana. The concept of praxis (what happens when people extend themselves to do good and how their capacity to do good increases because of it) prompted Dillon to do something radical with Tremolo's first full-length album release. Fifty percent of all of the record royalties due to Tremolo will be funneled into a benevolence trust fund. It will be called the Love>Revenge Fund. Says Dillon, "The people who buy the record will control this fund. They will, in fact, be the Board of Trustees. They will decide where the money goes based on how they would like to see the world change for the better." Through online voting and forums, fans will be able to decide where the trust fund money they contributed via record purchase will go - be it cancer research, tsunami relief, AIDS hospice, anti-slavery operations, or the charity of their choice. [It really is a great CD, we'll have a review on anti shortly but for now click the full story link to check out more Tremolo]
