(Gigwise) 70s punk relics John Lydon and Jimmy Pursey kicked off when they bumped into each other in the US Embassy in London.
Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten when he fronted the Sex Pistols, threw a cup of coffee over former Sham 69 member Pursey, when they met in the queue for US visas. [see full story for more]

Interestingly enough, Sham69 never really got a square deal from their fellow Brit punkers--- largely do to their relatively "ordinary" looks. Much of their impact was made on the blueprint of what became American hardcore punk--- a swing against the arty glam parade that much of the punk scene had become by the early 80's.
