Sexual Assault Claim |
Blabbermouth reports: Singer Amy Lee of EVANESCENCE
has sued her former manager, Dennis Rider of Rider Management, for breach
of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, conversion, sexual assault
and battery, and other claims.
Lee claims in her complaint that "Rider
has made repeated overt, unwelcome sexual advances to Lee (his client).
On one occasion he put his head in Lee's lap and ran his hand up her leg,
when she sat next to him on a couch to listen to a demo of songs for her
next album. On a different occasion, Rider put his hand on Lee's leg while
he sat next to her on an airplane where she was captive to his advances.
On a third occasion, Rider told Lee that he wanted to perform a gynecological
examination on her."[see full story for more]- Click

McCARTNEY were talking about working together on a RINGO STARR solo album.

Stapp
Attacked, He Says |
MTV reports: For almost a week, Scott Stapp
has suffered a public-relations beatdown stemming from reports of a Thanksgiving-night
fracas in a Baltimore hotel between him and members of 311. Now he's firing
back.
"This is a very unfortunate situation;
however, there are two sides to every story. I was at the hotel celebrating
Thanksgiving and my engagement with my new fiancee when the fight started,"
the statement read. "As The Associated Press reported and confirmed, I
did not instigate this altercation." [see full story for more including

Dimebag's
Family Sues |
Blabbermouth reports: A night of heavy metal
music turned into a night of terror when Nathan Gale got onto the stage
with a loaded gun and began firing.
Four people were killed, including Darrell
"Dimebag" Abbott of the band DAMAGEPLAN. Abbott's family, along with two
other people injured by flying bullets, are suing the bar's owner.
Details of the lawsuit, obtained by 10TV,
blame a lack of security for the bloodshed. Among the allegations: security
at the bar was inept. Security guards identified Gale as a trespasser hours
before the concert and failed to intervene. Overall, security was lacking
according to the lawsuit, which also noted the bar had no metal detectors.[see

RIP in 06 |
siN's metal news reports: Famed club CBGB
is set to close it's doors by the end of 2006. An official statement by
the birthplace to punk rock, and much more, is below:
"We are closing. Our landlord had neither
the obligation nor the interest to give us a new lease when our old lease
expired in August. Since then, we have been fighting a losing battle, trying
to buy time, against our eviction."
"CBGB is officially closing by October
2006. No postponements, no court dates, no appeals... that's it." [see

Fiddy,
Green Day Rule Billboard |
antiMusic reports: Yet another awards ceremony
is over (this time for Billboard) and 50 Cent and Green Day ruled the day
with six awards each, beating out the queen of oversinging Mariah Carey
who only snagged five awards.
The funniest award of the night went to
Gwen Stefoni (that's not a typo) who actually earned a best new artist
award. Maybe they were thinking of her new ghetto personality and solo
career and no doubt forgot that's she's been around the block a bit?
50 Cent won the artist and album of the
year honors as well as the most important award of the night for best ringtone
but was too busy pimpin' to attend. Green Day snagged rock artist and best
pop group awards as well as best rock song honors for "Boulevard of Broken
Dreams".
Tom Petty was honored with the Century
Award recognizing his 30 year career. Kanye West won something called The
Artist Achievement Award. Exactly what that achievement is we do not know.

archive that Dime has left us with," Dimebag's brother and bandmate Vinnie
Paul told MTV News. Speaking on-camera for the first time since his brother's
tragic death, Paul said that in addition to the oft-discussed collaboration
that he and Dime recorded with controversial country singer David Allan
