Grohl Vs Linkin Park, Crue

07/11/05
.
(Blabbermouth) According to ContactMusic.com, FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl has derided bands, including LINKIN PARK and MΦTLEY CRάE, for using backing tracks when they perform live.

He explains, "We don't try to play perfect, like on the record. We don't use backing tracks. That's kind of a crutch other bands have up their sleeve.

"I'd rather sound awful and have the chance to change things at a whim than sound like LINKIN PARK or MΦTLEY CRάE because of today's technology.

without backing tracks, linkin park would be nothing, so whose gonna stop em usin em live.

I`m a huge fan of Linkin Park! I have seen them in concert & from what i remember, they didn`t use back-up tracks and if they did.. it reallly doesn`t matter to me because they are very talented and 3 out of 6 of them i completly adore their looks and style as well as i do for Dave Grohl. I would love to see Foo Fighters in concert because they also have amazing talent. I rlly think it`s just a he says ... he said type of thing but i am for both Foo And LP!!!

Chester, Mike S., Rob B. & Dave Grohl,I adore your gorgeous looks !!!!

its poeple like you that always cries about other bands becouse of their own abilities on sucking. and we all know you sucked with kurt and suck even now mr. drag queen. at least linkin park contribute their music for something and you can understand and relate and know what the lyrics say and mean , right down to the videos and concerts.

YEah! LP doesn't use backing tracks, they use a DJ that plays tracks along with the music. that's not backing tracks that the "skill" of a DJ. He studied for years on how to spin a record! Ha ha. Hey and Avril writes her own music. So does Kelly Osbourne. While we're at it, Gene Simmons is least greedy person in rock n roll.

Posted by Josh:
LP doesn't use a back track and he is an idiot for running his mouth without knowing facts. If the guitarist and bassist stopped playing, the singer stopped singing, and the drummer stopped drumming you may be left with some digital effects from the dj: but no beat, no guitar, and no vocals.

Posted by SPIM:
I dub thee Tard Of The Year.

Posted by MRERY:
Linkin Park dont use backing tracks, they have a DJ with DJ equiptment, they can and do change there songs at a whim. The DJ adds those effects and it is a skill. He is part of the band after all.

Posted by GTD:
What's the matter, Davey, are those crap bands outselling your latest generic release? while I applaud the sentiment, shouldn't you be more worried about elevating the Foo to what it once was instead of naming pure crap in an effort to make yourself seem superior? We all know you can rock harder than that pure pap, so give it to us, Mr. Grohl! Your whining sounds like that tool in Cinderella who had the nerve to rip on Kurt more than 10 years since he was offed. Grow up, Dave, and give us some real hard Foo, or just shut up and keep being a whore for any band who wants you.
