Blabbermouth reports: A 26-year-old German
heavy metal fan died over the weekend from injuries sustained at the Pressure
Festival in in Herne (near Dortmund/Bochum), Germany.
The accident occured Saturday when 26-year-old
whose named hasn't been released by the German media took part in the
"wall of death," a form of concert dancing where the crowd is split down
the middle and on the signal, both sides ram into each other.
The impact on the fan's liver was reportedly
so significant that he died the same night at a nearby hospital.[see full

liveDaily reports: Corey Clark, the "American
Idol" contestant best known for claiming to have had an affair with Paula
Abdul (a judge on the Fox-TV talent show), was cited Saturday (6/27) morning
in Sacramento on a misdemeanor battery charge.
Police said that Clark and Laura Kathleen
Troy, a record-company manager, got into an argument in a room at Sacramento's
Sheraton Grand Hotel, and were loud enough to prompt guests to call police.

contact music reports: The NOTORIOUS BIG wrongful-death
trial was halted in Los Angeles on Monday (27JUN05) after the rapper's
family received an important tip relating to his 1997 murder.
On Friday (24JUN05), the Wallaces' lawyer
PERRY SANDERS revealed the family had received new important information
from a Louisiana man, leading US District JUDGE FLORENCE-MARIE COOPER to
excuse jurors for the day.
Sanders says the informant claimed Mack
and another former cop RAFAEL PEREZ confessed to two prison inmates that
they had murdered Notorious as he sat outside a post-SOUL TRAIN MUSIC AWARDS

P2P Ruling |
siN's metal news reports: The US Supreme Court
has ruled that file-sharing companies are to blame for what users do with
their software. The surprise ruling could start a legal assault on the
creators of file-sharing networks such as Grokster and Morpheus.
The case was brought by 28 movie and music
makers who claimed that rampant piracy was denting profits. The Supreme
Court judges were expected to rule in favour of the file-sharers because
of legal precedents set when video recorders first appeared.
The unanimous ruling is a victory for recording
companies and film studios in what is widely seen as one of the most important

Fanscape reports: Chart-topping superstar
artists Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas and Toby Keith have joined the U.S.
lineup of artists that will play the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia on
July 2. Russell Simmons, chairman of the Hip Hop Summit Action Network,
met with Bono last week to discuss Live 8 and has been working closely
with producers on the Philadelphia show. In addition, a long list of A-list
celebrity presenters will participate in Philadelphia; they include Salma
Hayek, Natalie Portman, Chris Tucker, Jennifer Connolly, Jimmy Smits and

Capitol Records reports: The Dandy Warhols
will release their fifth album, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, on September
13th.
Named (at least partially) after the band's
infamous Portland studio headquarters, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars finds
the band venturing beyond the synthesized pop of 2003's Welcome to the
Monkey House into expansive new musical terrain, while frequently revisiting
the stripped-down sound of their earlier years.
The album was produced by frontman Courtney
Taylor-Taylor with longtime band collaborator Gregg Williams and mixed
by Tchad Blake (Elvis Costello, Latin Playboys, the Bad Plus) and Taylor-Taylor.

Jackson Breaks His Silence |
antiMusic reports: Michael Jackson has broken
his silence following his acquittal on child molestation charges two weeks
ago. On Sunday, Jackson posted a message on his official website thanking
his loyal fans and his family for their support which Jackson said "dried"
his tears and "carried" him through the trial.
"Without God, my children, my family and
you, my fans, I could not have made it through," Jackson wrote to his short
statement fans. "Your love, support and loyalty made it all possible. You

a new Deep Purple DVD, Deep Purple Live In Concert 72/73, on July 25th.
The disc will contain black and white footage
recorded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1972 (90 minutes) and color footage

- A Show Of Hands. Unofficially, R-30 is expected to be released Oct. 15th,
