Master P Charged
AP reports: Rapper Master P and his brother were charged Monday with carrying unregistered loaded guns after police stopped their car near the University of California, Los Angeles. 

The 37-year-old rapper, whose real name is Percy Robert Miller, was arrested Jan. 27, along with his brother, after campus police stopped them because their car did not have license plates. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story 
 

McRap
Guardian Unlimited reports: Rap artists are accustomed to name-checking prestige car, clothing and jewellery brands in their lyrics. But if McDonald's has its way Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and 50 Cent may soon be giving it up for the humble beefburger. 

The fast-food giant is reported to be launching a campaign that will offer financial incentives to rap artists who mention its Big Mac burger in their lyrics. McDonald's will not pay an upfront fee, but intends to pay the artist between $1 and $5 (53p-£2.68) each time a track is played on the radio. Blabbermouth reports: According to the U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine, Carl-Michael "Aggressor" Eide (AURA NOIR, INFERNÖ, VIRUS, VED BUENS ENDE, ex-CADAVER, ex-DHG) fell from (or jumped off, depending on whose story you believe) a five-story building in Oslo, Norway on Saturday (March 26). In a statement, Marky stated, "As you know, I have been playing with Jerry Only from the MISFITS and Dez from BLACK FLAG, but I've decided that four years is enough. The last shows I will be doing with them will be in Mexico. I will be doing other things on my own, mainly RAMONES-related business; I will finish my book, and I will be a DJ on Sirius Radio. Blabbermouth reports: According to a post at AudioAggression.com, it appears that EARSHOT are no longer continuing as a band. The Los Angeles quintet, who reportedly left the MEGADETH-headlined "Blackmail the Universe" tour late last year due to a less than favorable crowd response, are said to have been dropped by Warner Bros. Catholics Vs Madonna
MTV reports: Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were spotted on the streets of London Thursday night dressed as a nun and the pope for a kabbalah party to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim, which commemorates the day Queen Esther saved the Jewish people living in ancient Persia from extermination. "Yes, she was dressed as a nun and Guy was dressed as the pope," Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, said. "Some Catholic groups are saying stuff, but Purim is a joyous holiday occasion. Smiths 101
BBC reports: Iconic 1980s indie group The Smiths are to be studied at an academic conference in Manchester, their home town. 

The four-piece band, led by famously miserable singer Morrissey, will be analysed by scholars from around the world for two days next week.

Deadbeat KISS Dad
BW&BK reports: The city's worst deadbeat dad stubbornly refuses to pay up, preferring to rot in jail rather than settle a nearly $400,000 tab to his kids that's piled up for 17 years. 

Jesse Hilsen, a former Upper East Side shrink and ex-manager of the band KISS, once owned millions in real estate but has done his all to duck his debt to his three kids and about $2 million more he owes his wife, Rita.

Radiohead Debut Music
NME reports: Members of RADIOHEAD have debuted new material on stage in LONDON Sunday night (March 27). 

Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke played two tracks together at the Royal Festival Hall with the London Sinfonietta. 

The duo debuted the delicate-sounding �Arpeggi', which featured ocean-themed lyrics, plus played �Where Bluebirds Fly', a b-side of �There There'. Both tracks were specially arranged for orchestra by Greenwood. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

dB's Reunite
conqueroo reports: The original lineup of the dB's (Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey, Will Rigby, Gene Holder) recorded new tracks at Water Music Recorders in Hoboken, NJ, in the first week of January, their first sessions together in two and a half decades. George Cowan (Iggy Pop, Natalie Merchant, The Band) engineered the sessions. 

Seven new originals by Holsapple and Stamey are now being completed. The band also recorded a Spectoresque version of Motown classic "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" in reaction to the tsunami catastrophe, and had some fun with dB's and other oldies while the tape was rolling.
