Kayne Vs Bush

09/06/05
.
(andPOP) Kanye West, never one to shy away from expressing his opinions, has accused the U.S. government of forsaking its black population at Friday’s “A Concert for Hurricane Relief.”

The rapper declared that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” during a 90-second segment he did with comedian Mike Myers on the celebrity telethon for Hurricane Katrina survivors. West surprised everyone when he went off script on the special, which aired live on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, and Pax. [see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story

They call you
What do you think ?:

Kayne is a racist

You are wrong dipset. State of Emergency was declared by Gov Blanco on 8/26; it is public record (gov.state.la.us). On 9/3 White House says State of Emergency never declared, but was forced to issue correction hours later.

Kanye's an idiot.
The people who didn't "care about black people" enough are New Orlean's mayor and and Lousiana's governor who needed Bush's prompting to declare a state of emergency and let Fema do anything in the first place, or even declare a mandatory evacuation on time. Hell, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who cares less about people regardless of race than those running around NOLA looting, raping, and shooting at rescue helicopters.

When you want to look at the idiot list, start from the bottom and work your way up. Good job following that ole evacuation plan eh mayor?

There are those who probably think that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a loudmouth too. I respect Kanye not only for his opinion, but for his willingness to share it in a time when FAR too many people are too cowardly to admit, or worse, are intimidated into withholding, their opinions.

Posted by hikingartist:
In the face of chaos and stench of death, Bush promised to rebuild Trent Lotts house. Now that's an idiot. Kanyes frustration is understandable.

Posted by GTD:
Hail Kanye!

Posted by daedae:
or on the other hand, good for him for taking advantage of showing what a loudmouth he is. Either way.

Posted by daedae:
It may or may not be a racist thing, but even so... good for him for taking advantage of his opportunity to call out the Pres. on live national TV, and shame on the networks for cutting it on the later feed.

Posted by GREENMUSE:
i saw it and laughed my ass off at mike meyer's expression.kanye is the man.

Posted by amelia:
I think he's an idiot. I'm sick too death of him and his idiotic opinions. He needs an education so he can talk intelligently.
What is going on in New Orleans is not a racist item and that card that is ALWAYS played is BORING!

He's an idiot!!
