Dropkick Murphys Tour
Punkbands reports: As if headlining the 2005 Warped Tour 2005 wasn’t enough to promote their acclaimed Warriors Code CD release, the Dropkick Murphys are set to embark on their very own fall headline tour with a bunch of their hometown compatriots. Dubbed the Boston Invasion Tour, dates kick off at the Marquee in Tempe, Arizona on October 10th and continue across the U.S. and into Canada through late November. M83 Fall Tour
Mute reports: M83 announces a fall U.S. tour which includes the prestigious Austin City Limits Festival and M83 will headline the KEXP benefit show (John in the Morning at Night) on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Neumos in Seattle.

M83's self-titled and self-produced debut album is available in stores now. Originally released by the French label, Gooom in 2001, M83 introduces the group as the original 2 piece: Anthony Gonzalez and Nicolas Fromageau who later left M83 after the 2nd recording, Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts (Gooom 2003, Mute 2004).

Mando Diao Tour
Mute reports: Mando Diao returns to the U.S. after their successful North American spring tour supporting their current album, Hurricane Bar. Kicking off these dates, Mando Diao will play the two-day Across the Narrows festival at Keyspan Park in Coney Island which also features The Pixies, Gang of Four, and Built to Spill among others. For more information, log on to www.acrossthenarrows.com. The video for the current single, "You Can't Steal My Love," is being played on MTV's Subterranean and The Fuse's Daily Download. Mando Diao will perform live on Los Angeles's alternative commercial station, KDLD (AKA Indie 103.1) on Monday, October 3 when they are in town for their show at the Troubadour.

ALO LA
Press Release reports: ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) will be bringing their road-tested grooves through Los Angeles twice on their fall tour, kicking if off with a supporting slot for LA-based “funktronic” band Particle at the House of Blues on October 8, 2005. They will return for a headlining gig at the Natural History Museum on November 4, 2005 (insert animal joke here!). 

The funky quartet has spent the last two months on the road with Jack Johnson, playing to packed houses at some of the largest venues in the country. Augustana
Sony reports: Up and coming Epic rock band Augustana's debut album All The Stars and Boulevards landed the group at the #20 spot on Soundscan's Heatseekers chart this week. The album, produced by Brendan O'Brien (Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Wallflowers), also became one of the most downloaded albums on iTunes as well as a top requested band on the popular online community site www.myspace.com.

Father Calling

Fanscape reports: “We were looking for tracks with an edge-of-your-seat intensity to reflect the mood of ‘SAW II,’” explains Jonathan Platt, president of Treadstone Records, which will release the SAW II Soundtrack Oct. 25, 2005. “But we didn’t want to rely on aggressive vocals and volume. We didn’t want to make a heavy metal record, which would have been the obvious choice.”
