Cattle Decapitation Benefits

Metal Blade reports: Cattle Decapitation will be appearing on 2 different benefit compilations from Koi Records next month... The first being the Friend In Need double 12" vinyl/DVD compilation aiming to increase awareness about cancer and treatments for cancer patients. Featured track is "Reduced To Paste" and the brand new video for the same song appears on the DVD!

The second being the New Orleans SPCA Benefit Compilation. This will feature a live in-studio track recorded at KXLU last year. All proceeds will be directed by the ASPCA to the LA-SPCA in New Orleans. Many pets and other animals were left to wallow in the muck as people are fleeing from Katrina's wrath. Cannibal Corpse Recording

Metal Blade reports: On October 17th, we will be entering Mana studios in St. Petersburg Florida to begin recording our 10th studio album. Erik Rutan will be at the helm as producer. The recording and mixing should be complete by December, and the album's release date will hopefully be sometime in March of 2006. After the release, we look forward to getting out on the road and performing for all of our great fans worldwide.

Yngwie Concerto

Press Release reports: Yngwie Malmsteen's Concerto Suite For Electric Guitar And Orchestra receives its long-awaited North American release on DVD on November 1, 2005, via Eagle Rock Entertainment.

The DVD was filmed in 2001 with the New Japan Philharmonic, conducted by Taizo Takemoto. It was initially released overseas only, and North American fans have eagerly awaited its arrival here. Malmsteen has only performed his concerto suite live with an orchestra seven times. An interview with Malmsteen is included as a special bonus feature. Green Day DVD info

Press Release reports: Bullet In A Bible*, the sensational live performance from Grammy Award winning Green Day will be released by Reprise Records on November 15th on CD/DVD, UMD for PSP and other digital formats. Staind, P.O.D., Taproot Fall Brawl

Atlantic reports: Flip/Atlantic recording group Staind has weighed in with the announcement of a major headlining U.S. tour, dubbed the "Fall Brawl." The cross-country trek will find the band joining forces with Atlantic labelmates P.O.D. and Taproot, plus Texas rockers Flyleaf, for what promises to be one of the season's most electrifying events. The itinerary is slated to kick off November 11th in San Jose, California and run through mid-December.

The "Fall Brawl" tour will see the three Atlantic bands supporting new releases: Staind's "CHAPTER V" and Taproot's "BLUE-SKY RESEARCH" - both of which are in stores now - and P.O.D.'s eagerly awaited new album, "TESTIFY," which is slated to arrive in January 2006. Gigante Media reports: Aerosmith -- Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer -- has rolled up a smoking set list sure to get fans buzzing on Rockin' The Joint (Live At The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas), a new live DualDisc release capturing America's Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Band at its swaggering best. Recorded in January 2002 during an intimate club date at The Joint in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel, Rockin' The Joint showcases prime Aerosmith in rare performances of vintage album cuts and recent rock tunes in front of 3,000 hardcore fans. Bush Go Zen

Press Release reports: Bush was one of the biggest bands of the '90s, selling more than 11 million albums. The band also scaled the top of the Modern Rock charts with four #1 singles and garnered 15 Top 40 hit singles. On November 1 Bush will release their first-ever combination DVD and live CD on Kirtland Records.

Bass Crisis

End Records reports: Crisis regrets to announce the departure of Gia Wang, our bass player for the last 12 years. Due to family commitments Gia will be unable to continue to be a part of the Crisis collective. The band wishes Gia well in all his future endeavors.

Nick Weitzel, a friend of the band, will be filling in on bass guitar for the Exodus tour. Crisis will hold auditions for a permanent bass player position starting in November.

We are looking for an aggressive player who can perform with a live intensity as well as be a creative force in our improvisational style of songwriting. We prefer a player that uses a pick unless you think you are the next Cliff Burton. SERIOUS CANDIDATES ONLY!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1.) SEND BIO (NAME, CONTACT INFO, BAND EXPERIENCE, TOUR EXPERIENCE, MUSICAL INFLUENCES, ANY MUSIC SCHOOL EXPERIENCE)

2.) You must learn the following 4 Crisis songs on your own and send either an AUDIO or VIDEO with AUDIO RECORDING of you playing "A Graveyard for Bitches", "Waking the Dead", "Politics of Domination" and "Nomad".
