(Rock Dirt) Weeks after Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden took a shot at 'American Idol' season one champ Kelly Clarkson, his brother and bandmate Benji joined in on the attack. "I will sum the last one up. I shouted out [My Chemical Romance], Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday and said reality shows suck," Benji wrote on the band's blog. "My mom told me if I didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. So I won't say 'Amercian Idol' sux, but it does make me laugh when someone like Kelly Clarkson disses someone like Hilary Duff [apparently referring to Clarkson's recent joking comment that she wanted to start a beef with fellow Texans Duff and Beyonce Knowles], cause let's not forget it, Kelly (BTW-Kanye West thinks you have a nice ass, I saw him look at it one time) (me, I prefer the more fit look) anyways - you were a 'contestant' on a TV show. Just comparing Hillary Duff to Kelly Clarkson is a joke in itself. Kelly is hands down the better singer, and looks better. Joel Madden must be mad that he got stuck with Hillary Duff and wasn't good enough to get Kelly.

Funny how Duff made herself...anyone heard of a little giant called disney? anyway - who is Good Charlotte? and does Duff write her own stuff like Clarkson did on her last record? nuff said.

For the Madden twins to diss Kelly Clarkson is laughable considering who Joel's girlfriend is and that he actually thinks she has talent.

Bands like Good Charlotte almost make the insipid junk spewed from shows like American Idol out to be quality music, except that the people on AI have enough self respect to not even try to play instruments or "write" their own songs. As for them making fun of their copycat bands...I guess the reflection in the mirror ain't so pretty.
