(Press Release) The Grand Prize Winners from Session I and II of the ninth annual John Lennon Songwriting Contest are now competing in an online voting battle to determine the Lennon Award Winner for each of 12 musical categories. Anyone can vote at www.jlsc.com through April 26, 2006. The Lennon Award Winners will be announced on May 1st. Each of the winners will receive 1000 custom CDs printed in full color 6 panel digipaks courtesy of Disc Makers worth $1990 and a $5,000 advance from EMI Music Publishing. Each of the Grand Prize Winners has already won 5,000 in project studio equipment from Roland/Edirol, Audio-Technica and Brian Moore Guitars, $500 gift certificates from MusiciansFriend.com and the honor of being selected by celebrity panels that included Fergie (Black Eyed Peas), the Bacon Brothers, Al Jarreau, Robin Gibb, and D12, as well as music industry executives.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
