Fan Destruction
Blabbermouth reports: According to a posting on DESTRUCTION's official web site, the German thrashers' April 15 concert in Quito, Ecuador ended in total chaos after the local promoter lost control of the 2,000 fans that wanted to attend the gig in a venue that could only accommodate half of them and that didn't have a working lighting system. "The band wanted to postpone the concert to the next day, but the local promoter had absolutely NO control of the show and audience," the posting reads. "The band is really sorry and mad as hell about this disorder! As a [security precaution], the show was delayed, which led to a destruction of the venue by pissed off fans!"[maybe the fans were just taking the band's name to heart? see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Rotten Brit
Gigwise reports: John Lydon has dismissed the "all corporate" Brit Awards' chances of awarding the Sex Pistols a life-time achievement award.

Naked Warrant
antiMusic reports: Have any spandex just collecting dust in the closet? Well you can now donate them to a lost..err good.. cause. Former Warrant frontman has put out a call to fans to send him cloths and guitars after his were reportedly stolen.

Following the announcement that he is going the Mike Tramp route of latching his name in front of the title of his former group to eek out a few more dollars in ticket sales, Lane recently wrote on his website, "Life is great! Except for the fact that all my clothes and guitars were stolen over the holidays. I wear a medium shirt, 32"-32" pants and I play acoustic guitars...lol...talk to ya soon...babies!!! JL" The inclusion of the lol may show that he was joking but someone break out some spandex and send em along. But please no acoustic guitars, the world doesn't need another cheesy ballad. Lane also discusses his forthcoming solo album, so this is a warning. Hell isn't too far away. [see the full story for Metal Sludge's funny take on this news]

CKY Leave Island
SMN reports: CKY has officially parted ways with Island Records. After some bickering and handbangs, frontman Deron Miller released the following statement:

"Today we were finally released from our contract with island records. We had been asking to be let go since 2003 when it was clear that the label had no idea how to market a band that doesnt write songs about breaking up with their girlfriends. To this day I truly dont know why they signed us in the first place. They wanted to do our 4th album, but giving them a fourth chance to deliver dissapointing empty promises seemed ludicrous. It wasnt making sense. To be fair, I want to say that I dont blame them for not knowing what to do with a band that isnt a flash in the pan. Major labels are afraid of bands that dont do what they're told to do.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story
