Incubus Tops Charts, Jay-Z Falls
DiR reports: Incubus' new CD 'Light Grenades' topped the Billboard Top 200 its first week in stores with sales of 165,000 copies. Although sales were down by quite a margin from past debuts for Incubus, this is a new record for the band who's highest previous debuts were at #2 for 2001's 'Morning View' (266,000 copies its first week) and 2004's 'A Crow Left of the Murder' (332,000 copies its first week). 

The 'Hannah Montana' soundtrack landed at #2, Chris Daughtry came in at #3, NOW 23 grabbed the #4 spot, The Beatles' 'Love' was at #5, and Jay-Z's 'Kingdom Come' took a nosedive from last week's #1 spot to land at #6. - Click Here for the Full Story

MTV reports: Gwen Stefani wants to be a part of what you listen to and what you look like, and now she's stepping into the world of scent. AP reports: After years of selling online music digitally wrapped with copy and playback restrictions designed to hinder piracy, major music labels are beginning to make some songs available in the unrestricted MP3 file format.

McPhee Sets Release
Reuters reports: "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee is eyeing a January 30 release for her RCA debut, tentatively titled "Never Saw It Comin'." 

The set primarily features production from Timbaland associate Nate Hill; other contributors include Babyface, Kara Dioguardi and Ryan Leslie, although McPhee was unsure if his cuts would wind up making the album.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Solo Drag
Gigwise reports: Two piece band Giant Drag have become a one-piece after Micah Calabrese quit the outfit. 

It leaves Annie Hardy to soldier alone as "the writer and the face of giant drag," reports mtv. Although no official announcement has been made, the Giant Drag myspace page lists Annie as the sole member, with �whoever else feels like doing it' on drums. Stone Vs Rod
Gigwise reports: The Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood has slammed his former Faces band mate Rod Stewart, claiming he has become Hollywood-ified. 

Wood and Stewart joined the Faces at the same time, after the group's demise, Wood joined the Stones in the mid-1970's and has never looked back. However, the old band mates and friends are no longer close and although Stewart recently hinted at a Faces reunion, Wood does not sound so sure.

Static-X Set Release
blabbermouth.net reports: STATIC-X has set "Cannibal" has the title of its new album, tentatively due late March. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Cannibal", "Behemoth" and "Chemical Logic". "If you want a taste of the musical direction [on the upcoming album], check out the song 'No Submission' from the 'Saw III' soundtrack," states frontman Wayne Static. blabbermouth.net reports: German power metallers RAGE have parted ways with drummer Mike Terrana.

Commented vocalist/bassist Peter "Peavy" Wagner and guitarist Victor Smolski: "From now on, we won't continue our collaboration with Mike because of personal and musical differences that have been existing for a while now and became unbearable. This cut is definitely not easy for us � but to avoid damage to RAGE we have no other choice. Unfortunately, there's not much left from our former unity. A while ago comunication between Mike and us broke down completely, so we have to pull the emergency brake. Baby Metallica
BW&BK reports: Gladiator actress Connie Nielsen and METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich are expecting their first child together, People has confirmed. 

"They are ecstatic," Nielsen's rep, Joy Limanon, tells People. The baby is due in the early summer.
