Fall Out Boy Injury
FMQB reports: First the members of My Chemical Romance were injured on the set of their video for "Welcome To The Black Parade." Then Travis Barker of (+44) damaged his arm so badly while filming "When Your Heart Stops Beating" that he is currently playing his drums with one arm. Now Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy is the latest Rock video shoot victim.

Wentz writes in an online post that, "I wanted to apologize to people who came out to the last couple warm-up shows - I have done something to my back that makes it hurt for me to even walk." In a separate post, he added, "I did something to my back while doing a stunt for the video. I think it will all be worth it when the video comes out in the end. Oasis Vs Green Day
punkbands reports: The perennially jovial Noel Gallagher has accused Green Day of ripping off Oasis' biggest hit, "Wonderwall." He says "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is "exactly the same arrangement." He continues by saying "They should have the decency to wait until I am dead (before releasing this). I, at least, pay the people I steal from that courtesy." He also says of Green Day "They consider themselves to be - and I quote - 'a kick-ass rock 'n' roll band'. They could not be less kick-ass if they tried."- Click Here for the Full Story

Ahmet Ertegun RIP
DiR reports: Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, died in New York on Thursday. Ertegun went into a coma at Weill Cornell Medical Center in October after he slipped backstage at a New York concert by the Rolling Stones. He was 83.

Jerry Greenberg, the former President of Atlantic Records and longtime music industry executive, comments on the passing of music industry giant Ahmet Ertegun: "As former President of Atlantic Records, Ahmet and I worked very closely together for over 20 years. New Sabbath Tracks
BW&BK reports: HEAVEN AND HELL guitarist Tony Iommi offered BW&BK a glimpse at the three new tracks the band has recorded for the upcoming Ronnie James Dio-era BLACK SABBATH compilation, due out, according to Tony, “February or March” through Rhino Records.

Proof CD To Be Released
pr-inside reports: Slain rapper PROOF's record label will release a new album next year (07), featuring 18 songs he recorded in a 24-hour period in January (06). 

The [rapper], real name DESHAUN HOLTON, was a close friend of EMINEM. He was shot and killed during a dispute at the after-hours CCC club in Detroit, Michigan in April (06).

PR reports: Stephen Colbert, of basic cable television program "The Colbert Report," has formally accepted a counter-counter challenge from The Decemberists, setting the stage for an epic battle on par with Ali vs. Frazier, Scopes v. State and Kramer vs. Kramer. The winner-take-all guitar duel will take place on Wednesday, December 20th at 11:30 pm ET/PT on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report."

Yoko Sexual Harasser?
pr-inside reports: The driver accused of attempting to extort $2 million (£1.02 million) from his employer YOKO ONO insists the Japanese singer/artist is simply trying to prevent him from suing her for sexual harassment.

Turkish-born KORAL KARSAN, 50, was arrested on Wednesday (13DEC06) and arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday (14DEC06) on charges of first-degree attempted grand larceny. Assistant District Attorney MAUREEN O'CONNOR told the court the driver promised JOHN LENNON's widow he would release embarrassing recordings and photographs of her, as well as threatening her, saying "he had people on standby waiting to kill the victim on his orders" unless she paid him $2 million.[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Reuters reports: Tickets for a pop concert to mark the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana's death sold out in minutes on Wednesday, organizers said.

Fred Marsden RIP
AP reports: Fred Marsden, the drummer in the Merseybeat band Gerry and the Pacemakers, has died at age 66, his family said. 

Marsden died of cancer Saturday in Southport, England, according to a family death announcement published Tuesday in the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
