Oasis Vs Green Day
12/15/06
.
(punkbands) The perennially jovial Noel Gallagher has accused Green Day of ripping off Oasis' biggest hit, "Wonderwall." He says "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is "exactly the same arrangement." He continues by saying "They should have the decency to wait until I am dead (before releasing this). I, at least, pay the people I steal from that courtesy." He also says of Green Day "They consider themselves to be - and I quote - 'a kick-ass rock 'n' roll band'. They could not be less kick-ass if they tried." - Click here for the Full Story

Posted by castaway on 2006/12/14 22:57:28 This is complete ...well I can\'t say what I really want to here, but it\'s crap. What bs! Why on earth did Oasis decide to come out and say this now after over two years of the album already being out. I bought the song Wonderwall just to see the similarity, although a good song as it was, it only has a similar beat. If Oasis thinks they are punk for dissing another band, they are no better. Green Day made a real name for themselves. Who cares? This is a pissy fit. Ignor it.
