KNAC reports: Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil
is opening a tattoo shop at the Flamingo in the area where O'Shea's Irish
pub is being replaced.
The 2,200-square-foot shop will front the
Strip and be part of 'a rock and roll vibe' in the space, Neil said by

punkbands reports: As Cities Burn has announced
that they will no longer be a band. They posted this on their Myspace:
"We know there are rumors floating around about the future of as cities
burn, so we wanted to clear things up. TJ is getting married this fall,
and has decided to settle down, and begin life off of the road with his
wife. he encouraged us to replace him, and continue with someone new in
his place, but we have all decided that this band would not be the same
without him. as cities burn was built on the personalities, work, and ideals
of the five of us, and simply replacing a member would leave a void that
would be impossible to fill. so we, as a band, have decided to end as cities

Each week Bolt will hold auditions for
a new member to join the band. The best and most original compilation will

debut Shotgun Willie, remastered and expanded with 12 bonus tracks. Disc
two presents Willie's first concept album, 1974's Jerry Wexler-produced
Phases And Stages, remastered and expanded with ten bonus tracks. Disc

PR reports: Fast-rising American pop and rock
star EJ, who just completed a successful U.K. tour, has been named U.S.
Ambassador to the U.K.s National Talking Newspapers and Magazines, the
unique British charitable organization for the blind and partially sighted
whose leading patron is film queen Dame Judi Dench.
EJ gave a special fund-raising concert
performance before members of the Naval and Military Club. She also visited
the national headquarters of the organization in East Sussex, England,
to record highlights from some of her hits and read excerpts from popular

Goes West |
PR reports: Known mostly for his tenure performing
as Pedro the Lion, songwriter David Bazan recently retired the band moniker
to continue making music under his own name. His debut EP "FEWER MOVING
PARTS" finds the beloved Seattle songwriter [who was recently named #85
in Paste Magazine's Top 100 Living Songwriters] roaring back to his creative
roots, performing and recording everything himself in his home studio,
while still expanding his sonic canvas.In anticipation/celebration Bazan
will take his act on the road. First hitting the east coast before heading
west with recent Jade Tree signee, Micah P Hinson, in tow. Jade Tree will
give the EP a digital release July 11th, as the year unfold Bazan will
huddle up in his Seattle studio to begin work on his full length, due tentatively

Blabbermouth reports: Former KISS/current
GRAND FUNK RAILROAD guitarist Bruce Kulick has posted a lengthy update
on his official web site. A couple of excerpts from his posting follow:
I was proud to see KISS so prominently
featured as the 'headliner' of the 'VH1 Rock Honors' show. For the record,
I was not asked to participate and, truth be told, in the world of make-up-only
KISS I am not sure how I could quite fit in. It would have been great to
jam with Ace [Frehley], but I watched the show from my home. My comments...
Happy for Ace to be out there with his 'Revenge'-style goatee jamming out
on his Blue Sparkle Les Paul, Eric [Singer] and Tommy [Thayer] for kicking
some serious rock butt, Gene [Simmons] for spitting and gyrating like a
25-year-old horny beast, and Paul [Stanley] for singing up a storm. KISS's
pyro and bombs were over-the-top amazing and I sat watching in awe saying
to myself, 'I used to play with this band! Wow!'"[see full story for to
